I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 19. My psychiatrist prescribed me Concerta, and it has worked pretty well. I metabolize it pretty quickly though, to I have to take 2 18mg in the morning, and one in the afternoon to last me throughout the day. Recently, I've noticed that it's losing its effectiveness (this is not the first time I've had to increase my dose) but I'm concerned because I've been told the max dose it 72mg per day. I'm afraid to switch meds, but I can't focus. Any advise?

Other long-acting forms of methylphenidate could be beneficial; different delivery mechanisms mean that they could work well at a lower dose. It’s worth trying.

In such a short period of time, I've already seen a lot of people disagreeing with this project. They openly and candidly bash you guys for what you are doing. Has this made any of you guys think twice about this project? How have you guys personally handled it?

Criticism and support often come in equal parts. Before we came close to launching the project, we knew that there would be many reasons why this project would generate not only skepticism, but also hatred.

Any project will receive criticism - it is a natural, healthy, and necessary part of any undertaking. We welcome criticism.

On the other hand, when there is hatred being directed at a project, it frequently has little to do with the project itself, and more to do with the person experiencing the feelings. Hatred is not civil, it does not advance a cause, and it is often ineffective in communicating the true intentions of the speaker.

That being said, we are aware that this project is imperfect. We are aware that any situation that deals with money is going to be a touchy subject, especially with the state of the economy.

From an outsider’s perspective, it would be easy to ignore the good intentions of the project, and pick it apart at the fault lines. However, we have poured our blood, sweat, and tears into this project and regardless of whatever hatred comes our way, we stand behind it firmly, and are proud of the effect it can and will have on those who encounter it.
