Weekend in NYC

I think we long to travel because vacations are a graceful reminder of all the opportunities we have in life. It’s so easy to get caught up in your routine, grow bored and overlook the unexplored. My weekend in New York City completely revitalized me and this first visit to the Big Apple has me wanting more. More chances to see new things, personalities, foods, customs, photographs, markets….

Needless to say I went into full blown tourist mode. Hailed a cab and started the day off in Lincoln Center, of course. Passed through Bryant Park, saw the carousel and took a peak around Alice and Olivia before cabbing to Midtown for shopping at the Chelsea Market. Decided I had to see the Brooklyn Bridge and Lady Liberty, had an incredible dinner in Times Square then got a tour of Columbia’s historical campus. Day one, complete.

Sunday was reserved for a daytime rooftop party at the Empire Hotel with some of my new favorite bloggers (Krista, sCe, Tracy, Jen, Christine, Jackie!!!) then it was back to Minnesota. I met so many great people and only a couple of them made fun of my accent :)

For next time, what did I forget?
