So.. how close is Chuubo's Wish Engine to minus, the old webcomic? this is a weird question but i can't help but think of similarities, how close do they actually run? i've read all of minus, but can't afford chuubo yet.
Minus is pretty close to what Chuubo’s would look like if there was only one miraculous-level player character - which is to say, technically doable, but the text pretty strongly recommends against playing it that way outside of solo games. So, like, you could do Minus, but unless it was a one-player-and-one-GM deal, you’d be dealing with 3-5 quasi-omnipotent godkids bouncing off of each other.
(Though they’d each operate at that power level in different ways; like, one kid might be a once-in-a-generation paragon of humanity who can perform any imaginable feat of skill with unstoppable perfection; another might be a deviant scientist whose inventions obey higher laws than mere physics; and a third might be the actual, literal Sun.)
Peter chose the name Marvin “Marv” in honour of super sentai badass Captain Marvelous. HELL YESSSSSS! FIRST ASIAN-AMERICAN RED RANGER AND HE’S NAMED AFTER ONE OF THE BEST RED RANGERS IN BOTH SENTAI AND PR SERIES!
In between projects I quickly painted a few skeleton minis. I finished them last weekend over a couple days just for fun, but since it’s Halloween tomorrow they fit the theme! I guess it’s also carrying on a tradition of painting a spooky miniature around this time of year for me, since last year I finished a Kingdom Death Twilight Relic Knight around the same time.
The three archers are Reaper Bones minis. I didn’t realize they were identical sculpts but all well, they’re just for fun or maybe to use one day in a D&D campaign or something like that.
The other two skeletons are D&D minis from Nolzur’s Marvelous Miniatures which can also be painted right out of the package.
Nothing too fancy here but I just added my own 25mm bases to them and gave them a quick paint job. I could have cleaned the models up a bit more and reshaped some of them with some heat but I didn’t want to bother too much
Hope you like them and keep an eye out for my next project!
