How Rousey fans can comfort themselves post-UFC 193
-Don’t re-watch Rousey vs Holm unless you’re a glutton for punishment.
-Re-watch UFC 157 Rousey vs Carmouche. Watch her make history as the first female champion. Remember there would be no women’s division without Ronda. No one can take that from her.
-Re-watch Strikeforce Tate vs Rousey and Rousey vs Tate 2 at UFC 168. Watch smug Miesha get her arm dislocated and imagine it’s punishment for her bitchy tweets post-UFC 193.
-Re-watch any of Rousey vs McMann at UFC 170, Rousey vs Davis at UFC 175, Rousey vs Zingano at UFC 184 or Rousey vs Correia at UFC 190.
-Send some social media positivity to Ronda or mail her something nice at:
Glendale Fighting Club
601 South Brand Boulevard
Glendale, CA 91204, United States
Let her know how much fan support she still has.
-Watch Ronda’s Trip to the 209 series on youtube. She is still in her Strikeforce pre-fame days and fans really get a chance to see her fight for respect and her hilarious, chill personality come through. Start from Ep 2 when she meets the legendary Diaz brothers at Caesar Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and stays at their house in Lodi, Califonia. Ep 3 is great- Nate Diaz receives his Black belt and after watching Ronda out-grapple guys in the gym, Nick Diaz rolls with her himself. Whenever they grapple it’s an amazing master class in technique. Ep 4 is hilarious; after Ronda helps the Diaz brothers with some judo technique, they read fan mail and everyone does apple cider vinegar shots and the videographer, Layzie the Savage, pukes while everyone laughs at him. In Ep 5 Ronda goes mountain biking for the first time with the Diaz brothers and can barely walk up a flight of stairs afterwards. Highlight is when she judo throws every guy in the gym for a free t-shirt.
-Watch Matt Serra beat GSP at UFC 69. Watch TJ Dillashaw beat Renan
Barao at UFC 173. Watch Frankie Edgar beat BJ Penn at UFC 112. Watch Nick Diaz beat Robbie Lawler at UFC 47. Watch
Chris Weidman beat Anderson Silva at UFC 162. Rousey vs Holm was not the first upset in UFC history and it will not be the last. Take comfort in the fact the very nature of fighting is unpredictable.

-Mark UFC 200 on your calendars. Rousey vs Holm 2 is widely rumored to be the main event. It is unlikely either Holm or Rousey will fight in the next 7 months to build even more interest for the rematch in July 2016. Have no doubts that Ronda will rise to the occasion.
It has been 13 months since we last saw former UFC bantamweight champion
Ronda Rousey (12-1), after suffering the first loss of her MMA career at the hands of Holly Holm. Women’s bantamweight has been in a state of chaos ever since with the title bouncing between three women in 2016. Yet, Rousey’s return has loomed over the division, with everything from her personal life to her training environment to her future plan being discussed as we waited for the word. And here she is.
And her opponent for her return isn’t familiar faces in Holly Holm or Miesha Tate, but arguably the 2nd most dangerous women’s bantamweight in the short history of the division in current UFC bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes (13-4). Can’t imagine a fight on paper that screams “first round finish” like this one does.
Rousey and Nunes will face off in the main event of UFC 207 this Friday (Dec. 30).
“Time does not always heal all.
Sometimes, it just gives you more time to get pissed off. I had been waiting almost six months
from the end of filming The Ultimate Fighter to get to my rematch against Miesha. To me, it wasn’t just about winning.
I wanted to hurt her. I wanted to show her just how dominant over her
I was. I wanted her to never again think that she could step into the
cage and face off against me. I wasn’t going to rush for a finish.
I was going to pick her apart in every aspect of her game.”- Ronda Rousey, My Fight / Your Fight
Holly Holm will fight Miesha Tate before Ronda Rousey
Holm vs Tate has officially been set for UFC 197 on March 5th 2016. This is a great move by the UFC to test their current bantamweight champion and give Miesha the fight she deserves.
There are two outcomes for this fight and both are good for Ronda.
1) Tate beats Holm. If Tate manages to take the belt, she would have
earned the title she’s wanted since her Strikeforce days and be in line
for Tate vs Rousey 3. Ronda could crush new champion Miesha for a third
time and let Holly work her way back up to another championship fight
with wins over Zingano or McMann. Tate would have earned the respect she
deserves and proved how fickle and unpredictable the very nature of UFC
2) Holm beats Tate. The new champ’s dominance is put to the test in a battle against the undeniably tough #3 challenger Tate. Holm gets a taste of the physical and mental demands it takes to stay a UFC champion like Ronda has since UFC 157. She gains some experience, takes some wear and tear, brings more $ and publicity to the UFC and solidifies herself as Bantamweight champion. Either move will make it even more impressive when Ronda wins her belt back in Rousey vs Holm 2.
holy shit guys MIESHA TATE SUBMITS HOLLY HOLM AT UFC 196 to become the third ever womens bantamweight champion. It is going to be AMAZINGLY entertaining to see how the UFC/Dana White/Joe Silva handle the Rousey/Holm rematch…
Would have loved to see fight #3 in the Rousey/Tate Trilogy on UFC195 in Jan, but Holm is a boxing legend and it will be fun to watch how Ronda submits her. It is very likely the UFC is just delaying Rousey vs Tate 3 to build more hype after Ronda’s next movie wraps.
