roundhouse kicked in the face

Didn’t Expect It

Jason didn’t expect it really. In fact, he didn’t expect it at all.

It had been a tough night. A drug bust that escalated quickly, and before he knew it Birdie had shown up to save the day, and while Jason would never admit it out loud, he wasn’t entirely pissed about the rescue.

Not since it gave him a chance to see the youngest of them again.

He didn’t expect it really, the feeling. The unfamiliar joy to see his littlest brother, jumping here and there, weaving in between the enemies and taking down one man after another like it was a ballet performance. The strange smile that unfurled behind his mask as he stumbled to his feet, clutching the wound staining his shoulder and watched the little boy roundhouse kick Mr. Boss in the face, sending the man flying into the wall with a deafening crunch. The indescribable pride as the kid straightened himself, hands on his hips, and smirked.

He didn’t expect the warm sensation when Damian practically jerked himself towards the criminal that aimed his gun on Jason because his little brother was protecting him.

The Boss Man stumbled back on his feet and trained his two pistols on the 12-year-old standing in front of him, and Jason attempted to move towards Damian, because he already died once, don’t you dare lay a finger on him you bastard-

“Put the gun down.” Came his small voice, ever so tiny. Too tiny. “And I’ll give you a 5-minute head start.”

The man stared for a moment.

“4 minutes.” Damian scowled.

And Boss ran.

Jason didn’t expect the fear that lurched inside him when Damian’s shoulders slumped and he grabbed his stomach. He didn’t know what to do when his littlest brother turned on him, anger flaming in his bright green eyes, and felt guilty.

But it was okay, because at least those green eyes were alive.

And so Jason leaned back against the wall and slid until his body collapsed on the floor. The throbbing in his foot wasn’t so bad now, and his shoulder wasn’t as painful as it had been a moment ago. He looked back at Damian, preparing himself for the tiny storm before him.

“How dare you, Todd.” He hissed venomously, eyes narrowed almost threateningly, and he stomped towards him, hands in fists. “Drake ordered you to wait for me.”

“I don’t take orders from Timmyboy, Demon Spawn.” The insult-turned-nickname rolled off his lips so easily he didn’t have time to stop it.

“Foolish!” Damian seethed as he marched towards him. “It was foolish! Idiotic! Stupid! You could have died!”

“Been there, done that. Hell couldn’t handle this.”

The little boy stopped at this and his eyes widened a tad, and Jason realized what he’d said. It was so easy, almost a habit nowadays, to make jokes about his own death. At first, it was to pour the blame on Bruce, to make him feel guilty, terrible, make him apologize because he deserved those terrible feelings, but now it was just humor for him. It was something he did.

Jason had been back from the dead for years now.

Damian had been back, what, a few months?

“B-besides,” Jason tried to amend his witless mistake. “Why would you care?”

“Foolish Todd.” The little boy whispered, so different to his tone a second earlier. So small.

And he didn’t expect Damian to stumble towards him, but he didn’t refuse the tiny arms that were reaching towards him. He didn’t mind for the moment that his blood was getting all over the kid’s suit or that it was probably in his hair too because Jason was holding him. He was holding his little brother’s tiny, adorable, alive body in his arms and he wasn’t going to argue.

“Foolish, idiotic, stupid, brave Todd.” Damian croaked, burying his head into the crook of Jason’s neck. “You were supposed to wait.” He repeated, but sounded so unsure this time, the childish confidence disappeared. “You could have been killed.”

“Damian, I’m okay,” Jason whispered, completely bewildered by his brother’s behavior. They had never been chummy. They respected each other, maybe even liked each other a minuscule amount, but Jason was no Dick Grayson. “It’s not a big deal.”

“It is.” The boy pressed, curling even tighter into his arms and Jason couldn’t help but feel how freaking small he was.

So small, so precious.

“It is because,” he swallowed against his neck and Jason felt something wet hit his skin, but he dared not expect it to be tears. “Because Jason,”

He squeezed the boy tighter, “Dami…”

“You’re the only brother who knows what it’s like to die…” he whispered sadly. “I-I want you to know that-that I’m very glad you aren’t dead anymore.”

Jason’s eyes widened until they were saucers, and his jaw dropped, but his grip tightened. It tightened with new resolve, with new purpose, with new revelations at his smallest brother’s confession.

Damian held on for a little longer, but Jason wasn’t complaining.

Jason didn’t expect the gentle, loving smile that slid onto his lips as he rested his chin on the 12-year-old’s hair.  The protectiveness that gripped him in a vice, a chain wrapped around his heart. A new hole in his heart that was perfectly Damian shaped, and it was strongly defended.

He didn’t expect himself to tilt his chin to kiss Damian’s forehead, and Jason didn’t expect the smile that he felt against his neck.

“I’m glad you’re back too, Bud.”

They stayed that way for a while, clinging to each other until Tim and Bruce arrived.

Jason didn’t expect for him to hold onto his small brother the way he did. He didn’t know exactly why he wanted to come back to the Cave, to make sure that the knife wound was just a knife wound. He was surprised with himself, as was Bruce, when he decided to stay the night, to make sure the kid doesn’t steal my stuff. He didn’t expect to go to Damian’s room before he went to bed himself, wounds freshly cleaned and bandaged. He didn’t expect for the little boy to be asleep soundly, a peaceful expression that barely graced his face now adorning his cheeks.

He didn’t expect the emotion. The pride, the protectiveness. The love.

He leaned down and kissed Damian’s forehead silently, pushing back some of his hair before turning.

He didn’t expect his tiny, sleep filled voice to emerge, “Goodnight, Todd.”

Jason grinned, turning to close the door. “Night, Tater-Tot.”

The smile that was plastered on his face as he fell under the wings of sleep was anything but forced.

He didn’t expect it.

He didn’t mind either.

My finale prediction:

During the last minute of the show Jack and Aku are about to kill each other but then Genndy Tartakovsky comes flying in with a roundhouse kick to both their faces, delivers a forty five second speech that brings everyone to tears about how they should learn to get along, and then the show ends with everyone at the dinner table eating and Genndy is at the head, cutting the ham

So I was watching fate stay night and then I looked back at the Betty vs gaster fight and saw some similarities between the fights the one that really caught my attention was archer vs lancer as both moved just how Betty and gaster did. Care to explain?

I inspired some scenes in fate stay night. Shingeki, kizumonogatari, kill la kill, etc… etc…

I usually look for cool perspectives and pick up scenes from different anime episodes as reference.

Like let’s say I want to animate a roundhouse kick onto someone’s face but while the camera is in a perspective from under the characters.

I have absolutely no idea how to do it.

But I want to do it.

So I look for references and look for a similar scene so I can try to imitate it and adapt it to what I want to do.

After doing it once I already know how to proceed.

That’s how I learn to do stuff Idk how to lol

on one of the weekends brian jr comes to stay with dennis he ends up catching a glimpse of mac doing karate and is completely enthralled. mac notices, and starts teaching brian how to lift his little arms up into completely badass karate poses and how to kick his legs so he’ll be ready for sweet roundhouse kicks when he’s a bit older.. and brian has concentration etched into his face throughout bc he really wants to be like mac. but then mac starts to make the accompany exaggerated karate sounds for him and that sends brian into a fit of giggles and suddenly mac can’t help but laugh either. he swoops brian up into a big hug and plants a kiss on the top of his head and they’re both positively beaming at each other and dennis, who’s been quietly watching them from across the apartment, feels like his heart is going to give out

  • “Aww yiss”

I was part of a live “home invasion” movie except I didn’t know about it. While it was happening, it was being screened in cinemas across the country. Basically there were actors that were the “invaders” and real people - who had NO IDEA what was going on - were the ones being invaded.

One of the actors was like “come on little girl, fists only” and as she was putting her weapons on the floor i roundhouse kicked her in the face and then knelt on top of her to knock her out by slamming her head into the floor.

I was home alone and terrified for my life, as the actors had REAL GUNS and were stalking me throughout me own house. I was only trying to protect myself.

Eńouement by Silvials

When Steve first met Sergeant James Barnes during the New York invasion, he flipped Steve off for calling him a civilian then roundhouse kicked an alien in the face.

They haven’t stopped seeing each other since then, and Steve thought it was normal for him to latch onto the first person who befriended him after coming out of the ice.

Nope, turns out he was just pining.

Chapter 1 | Chapter 3

Before you could open your eyes, the repetitive sound of a hospital monitor reverberated in your head, the monotonous drone of it quickly unsettling you.

Why am I-

The soft, yet unpleasant sound of metal screeching against metal caused you to force your eyelids open, presenting you with the blurry image of a male nurse making his way through the doorway with a small metal cart.

Your head jerked up, wincing at the bright intensity of the overhead lights as you examined the cramped hospital room you found yourself in.

“How are you feeling, miss?” The nurse’s words rang in your head, causing it to throb.

“I’m- I’m-” You struggled to get a single word out of your system as your throat contracted dryly.

The nurse pulled up alongside the hospital bed and began to fumble with the medical instruments that lay sprawled out on his cart. “It’s alright, your senses will come back to you slowly. The IV you have right now should help with the pain.”

An IV?

Glancing down, a thin tube that protruded from your forearm confirmed the nurse’s statement.

“What- how-… Why am I here?” You brought your other hand to your hair, scratching your head in confusion.

Turning your head back to face the nurse, your heart lept into your throat. Upon reexamination, the staff-member didn’t seem much like a typical staff-member at all.. As your vision began to focus itself, the nurse’s hulking biceps and rippling muscles told your nerves that this man was significantly over-qualified to be working as a medical assistant. Lifting your gaze, you noticed the beginnings of a sinister tattoo along the man’s neck, the extent of its length as well as the design was obscured by the green medical scrubs. You squinted your eyes, drifting your vision all over the man’s body to get a read on who exactly was in the room with you. As he turned around from his cart, your colored, exhausted eyes met his black, beady ones.

Something’s not right.

Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4

After staying for almost 2 months in Bucky’s apartment in Bucharest, Y/N and him fell into a sort of schedule everyday.

Y/N would be the first to wake up very early and prepare breakfast for the three of them. Then Bucky would wake and have his when Y/N is out of the kitchen and feeding Jack his bottle in the couch. Jack and her would spend their mornings on the couch while Bucky would spend his in the bedroom. Afternoon will come and Y/N would prepare a light lunch. Sometimes Bucky would eat, sometimes he would stay in his room. They didn’t talk all that much. Mostly light conversation, commenting on the weather outside or asking what do they want to eat. Y/N would sometimes catch Bucky sitting next to Jack as the child clutches onto his finger. The first time it happened, Y/N almost screamed. But when she realized that Jack was fine, moreover, he was smiling up at Bucky, Y/N let it be. The child was in no danger.

On most days, Bucky would leave the two of them in the apartment at exactly 2 pm. He would arrive back to the place at about 7 in the evening bringing dinner for all of them. Y/N would spend that time when Bucky is out to rummage around the apartment, trying to find clues as to who Bucky was. There was still that feeling in her gut that he was familiar to her. Like a lost face in her memory or a forgotten name.

high school au headcanon 1

- dirk gently is…strange. he wears bright colors (not even regular jeans, for godssake) and always looks like he’s about to launch into a long-winded explanation of something no one understands, not to mention he has a shoulder-bag instead of a backpack and that british accent, and todd has no clue what to think about him.
- todd’s mostly preoccupied with helping his sister amanda through freshman year - making sure she doesn’t fall in with the wrong crowd, worrying about her hallucinations, waiting for her after school, etc. he’s Tired
- and then there’s farah, the more-than-a-little intimidating girl of todd’s affection who sits in front of him in english…oh, man. she could roundhouse kick him in the face and he would thank her. he has no earthly idea why she and amanda are suddenly hanging out between classes - amanda’s the farthest thing from a jock - but it doesn’t stop him from being unreasonably salty about it.
- things start to go south around second quarter, when amanda meets a group of kids who call themselves “the rowdy 3” (there are four of them??) and starts wearing todd’s leather jackets and going out after school and coming back exhausted and happy and covered in spray paint. todd has a panic attack in front of the sink during second period when he finds out she’s been vandalizing shit and going with the guys in their van (do they have drugs?? they probably made her do drugs) and that she actually likes it.
- dirk happens to walk into the bathroom when todd’s crying, holding his wrist like a splint, and even though todd can see the dark purple beginnings of a bruise appearing along dirk’s wrist, dirk still looks at todd and asks if HE’S okay
- dirk is awkward when he tries to hug todd, all slender limbs and sharp elbows and floppy auburn hair, but todd is just flustered enough to forget to flinch away and that’s how 11th grade dirk and todd ended up meeting in the 3rd floor bathroom on the worst days of both of their years.
