Fun fact: I’m not even gay.

  • *221B*
  • Sherlock: *thoughtful* I love-
  • Rosamund: Molly?
  • Sherlock: No, I need-
  • Rosamund: Molly?
  • Sherlock: *frowns* No, I want-
  • Rosamund: *nods* Molly.
  • Sherlock: ...
  • Sherlock: *hugs his knees; pouts* Whatever. I miss Molly.
  • Rosamund: *rolls her eyes* It's only for the weekend.
  • Sherlock: *sulking* But why did she have to go with him?
  • Rosamund: *shrugs* They're just friends.
  • Sherlock: *bitter* You should have seen him. Drooling all over her.
  • Rosamund: *sighs* Men *gets up; walks into Sherlock's bedroom*
  • Sherlock: *looks up* What are you doing?
  • -a few minutes later-
  • Rosamund: *skips back in; on the phone* I know you're busy, Aunt Molly, and I'm sorry to interrupt but Uncle Sherlock has something important to tell you *holds out the phone*
  • Sherlock: *eyes wide; shakes his head*
  • Rosamund: *frowns* Or you could put this on speakerphone and I'll do it.
  • Sherlock: *snatches the phone; swallows* Hi, Molly. How's it going?
  • Molly: *exasperated* Actually, Sherlock, I'm in the middle of a lecture. Rosie said it was important so...
  • Sherlock: *coughs* Right., I miss you.
  • Molly: ...

  • -a chorus of 'awww's can be heard in the background-
  • Molly: *to her class* Oh, be quiet, you lot.
Family [Tom Holland]

Summary: Toms daughter calls you mom for the first time (fluff)

Words: 756

“Y/N, Can I stir them please?” Rosie asks, her fingers already covered in cookie dough and the slight outline of chocolate around her lips.

You watched her little brown curls bounce around as she moved, a trait she got from her father as well as the deep brown eyes and slight british accent.

“Sure sweetie! No licking your fingers until you’re done, okay?” Rosie nods and You pass her the mixing spoon and she immediately sticks it into the dough, stirring it together as fast as her little 5 year old hands can mix.

She wasn’t your daughter, she was your boyfriends. When Rosie’s mom found out she was pregnant she birthed the child, dumping her on Tom’s doorstep and leaving the world - famous 25 year old with a daughter he barely knew what to do with, but Tom made it work.

You’d been dating Tom for almost a year now, Rosie adored you and being the closest thing to a Mom figure she had, she was practically attached to your hip when Tom wasn’t home.

You heard the front door open and shut, your heartbeat picked up slightly knowing Tom was home from work.

“There’s my two favourite girls! What’d you two get up to today?” Tom comes behind the counter and places a kiss on your lips before moving to Rosy and placing a kiss on her forehead, she grimaces and continues rolling the cookie dough into balls.

“I cleaned my room, then we baked” Rosie said, pointing to the row of pre baked chocolate chip cookies

“I may or may not have convinced Rose to clean her room with the promise of home baked cookies after” You say “How was work?”

“Stressful, they want me to go to comic con for a full month next month” Tom smiles at Rosie, who happened to be eating cookie dough off of her fingers and wraps his arms securely around your waist, pressing his face into your neck (in a non sexual way of course).

You sigh, leaning back into his arms. “You were gone all of last month, do you really have to go again?”

Tom loved his job, being Spider Man was almost second nature to him now but most nights you missed his arms around you, back pressed into his chest.

“I told them i can’t, i havn’t got to spend much time with my girls lately and you know how much i hate being away for long periods of time, since Rosie came along, she comes first” You run your fingertips down Tom’s arm, feeling his tense muscles relax under your touch.

For a moment you wonder how you got so lucky, seeing Tom be so affectionate and loving towards Rosie was enough to make your heart burst and even if she wasn’t your blood daughter, you loved her like one.

“You hear that Rose? Daddy’s going to be around for a lot longer this time” Rosie takes a break from licking the cookie-covered spoon to give you both a cheesy grin.

“Really?! Does that mean Mommy and Daddy can take me to school tomorrow? Lucy doesn’t believe that     my daddy’s Spider Man and i wanna show her she’s wrong”

You and Tom both freeze up. You always took Rosie to school, did she not want you anymore?

“Darling, i’ve talked to you about this, Mom isn’t here” Tom crouches down to Rosies level, taking one of her hands and speaking to her as gentle as possible.

Before you’d come along, Tom had told you that Rosie use to always ask where her mum was. “I’m sorry sweets, you know i am”

“She is, right Y/N? You’re my mom” Rosie removes her hand from Tom’s and points a finger at you, she has to look up to reach your eyes.

Tears well up in your eyes and Tom looks at you with a large grin on his features. In a whole 11 months Rosie had never called you mom, until now. You felt an abundance of emotions, all positive of course.

“I would be honoured to be your mom, only if that’s okay with your dad” Tom nods gleefully as if he’d been waiting for this moment, which he had.

You crouch down, looking the girl who looked so much like her father in the eyes and give her a hug.

“Lucy is going to be so jealous when she finds out my dad is spider man” Your 5 year old says with a smirk, making you and Tom laugh.

Do other non-American Sherlock fans look at some Parentlock posts with the same sense of bewilderment that I do?

You know, those cute “Imagine Rosie’s first day at kindergarten! Imagine Rosie taking a skull in for show and tell! Imagine Rosie wiping the floor with the competition at her first science fair! Imagine her A+ report cards all over the fridge!” posts. I can’t imagine those situations, because I have no familiarity with those things.

Unless school have changed a lot in the past twenty years or so(which, to be fair, they probably have), I imagine things like:

Rosie on mufti day, wearing a salwar-kameez and stubbornly insisting to everyone in her vicinity that “mufti” is an Arabic word so actually she and Priya Patel are the only ones doing it right(not Preeya Patel from her form group, Priya Patel whose dad owns the corner shop)

Rosie being put on report because she never does her homework, because it’s irrelevant and boring and she already knows the subject inside out

Rosie being the only girl in her class who doesn’t roll up her skirt or untuck her shirt because having a school uniform means one less thing to worry about in the morning, so she doesn’t rebel against it(she’s also the one who taught everyone how to do a double windsor knot in their tie at the start of term - and, when the teacher wasn’t looking, a noose)

Rosie on Sports Day, having been conscripted into the hundred metre sprint, walking the track slowly with a sign protesting against enforced physical activity and ready to handout her treatise on why training children to resent sport backfires in the long run

Rosie being the only Year Seven in school history to be made first violin in the school orchestra(because really, there’s nowhere else you could put her)

Rosie taking Latin GCSE, despite the fact that it’s an after-school club. When she’s in Year Eight.

Reasons Sherlock Has Let Rosie Skip School:

– She’d already mastered the material they were covering in class (“I taught Watson to multiply fractions at the age of 4!” “Yeah, using severed toes, as I recall…”)

– The day’s lesson plan included something unbearably tedious (”What could she possibly gain from listening to her peers stumble through poorly-researched reports on Henry VIII? I can’t let our daughter be subjected to such torture.”)

–He was conducting an important experiment and required a lab assistant

–He forgot deleted what day of the week it was

–She was feeling depressed/stressed/out of sorts and just needed to recharge by spending a day curled up on the couch watching crap telly

–She’d stayed up too late reading (for pleasure) the night before

–John was out of town and he wanted company

dating jeff would include:
  • inside jokes!!!
  • milkshake dates at rosies
  • meeting before school for coffee at monets
  • him constantly trying to explain baseball to you
  • “babe all he had to do was hit a slap bunt and it would go infield and we could’ve won"
  • "jeff what are you even saying"
  • trying really hard to pay attention to all the baseball stuff
  • and then loving it because of jeff
  • "you help me with history and i help you with baseball!”
  •  "yes, that’s exactly what i need"
  • sitting on that hill that overlooks the town and just talking revealing both of your deepest thoughts
  • “isn’t it weird how everything matters so much in this town but it won’t matter when we leave?”
  •  "one thing that won’t change is how much you matter to me y/n"
  • hanging out around his varsity crew
  • typically ignoring them and playing with jeffs hand
  •  having them call out how invested you are in each other
  • and just smiling at each other because you can’t even deny it
  • lying down on his bed and being able to talk to him for hour
  • having him cuddle you whenever you had a rough day
  • and doing the same for him
  • always supporting each other!!
First Day of School

Rosie fidgeted with the zipper on her flowery backpack as she waited for the bus to arrive and take her to school. Behind her, mom and dad were just as nervous but willed themselves not to show it. They wanted Rosie’s first day to be an exciting new experience, not filled with anxiety. They could’ve just taken her themselves as they didn’t live far from school, but they wanted their sweet daughter to make friends and meet new people. The bright, yellow bus stopped in front of their house before they could change their minds, though.

The bus was surprisingly empty and that only added to the family’s nerves. After a big group hug and multiple kisses from mom and dad, Rosie entered the bus, picking a seat toward the front. The plump driver waved at mom and dad, hardly making eye contact. The door squeaked shut behind their treasured, baby girl. Mom wiped away a small tear as she and her husband watched the bus disappear around the corner far down the street.

“She’s going to have a great day” dad comforted mom with a forehead kiss.

“I know” mom agreed, not sounding as confident. “I’m going to shower” she finished, heading inside.

As dad’s footsteps entered their home, a loud honk startled him. His stomach emptied into his throat as he turned around to see a different bus, loaded with happy students, idling at the foot of his driveway. The big door slid open.

“Good morning, Mr. Thomas” the elderly bus driver asked with a pleasant smile like that of a loving grandmother. “Is Rosie ready for her first day?”

honestly herin is the sweetest!!! 😩💕💖

they asked her to give a warning message to the rest of the girls (something like to boast that she’s better than her rivals), but she responded with:

let’s all work hard together, and succeed together!

Birds and bees with Rosie

Knowing as both John and Sherlock are both awkward and terrible af in terms of proper communication,

can you imagine how they’d broach the subject of puberty and birds and bees talk to Rosie once she’s in her teens??

Imagine John asking Sherlock “I think we need to plan how we’ll approach this, about Rosie being….you know… ”

“Approach what, be more specific John.”

“About teaching… Guiding Rosie about….birds and bees”

“For God’s sake John, don’t be ridiculous! This isn’t the time to teach Rosie about beekeping, there’s more important issues at need to worry about, she’s having SEX!”

John rests his face into his palms. He is defeated.

~ later ~

Rosie comes home from school to the sight of John and Sherlock sat down at the dinner table as if she’s late for a conference meeting. Oh no, she thinks.

“Rosie we need to talk.” John starts.

“Uh-oh, what’s this about?”

John clears his throat before starting awkwardly “It’s about….. Look I know you’re growing up and I am concerned….about.. Ok let me start over, there are things that people… *do*… that might seem exciting at your age… And we just want to make sure that you are taking care of yourself-”

“Oh my god…” John feels defeated for the second time that day.
