I guess we can safely assume that Rose used to be Pearl’s “owner”, after ‘Back to the Barn’.
And one thing that got my attention was that Peridot said that Pearl was a ‘fancy one’, and marveled at the idea of a Peridot owning a Pearl, something probably very unusual.
I guess what we can take out of it is that, though Pearls are common servants on Homeworld, they are probably some sort of ‘luxury toy’, one that’s owned by Gems ranked higher than Peridot.
And considering that our Pearl is noted to be especially fancy, my guess is that she’s probably of the kind that belongs to really powerful Gems.
Which, of course, reinforces the theory that Rose used to be some sort of Gem royalty, or at least someone very important, back at Homeworld.
I just love how slowly but steadily we’re learning more and more about how the Homeworld is (and, consequently, why the Gems abandoned it and are so scared of it). What a strict, classist, bad place it is.
OMG. My parents have been in Canada this past week for a funeral, and they were heading back tonight and the border patrol man told them " Hey, don't worry, if Romney is elected you can come back and we will act like you never left. We accept all refugees." CANADIAN WIN!!!!
Oh man. I really, really loved “Empty Chairs at Empty Tables.” It was just such a simple, beautiful scene and the emotion behind the words were just spectacular. The lyrics of that song were particular beautiful to me.
I loved basically the last ten minutes to death. It was when I really started to allow myself to tear up.
