Turbine! He’s a cutie thats for sure. I hope he slowly gains back his sanity withthehelpofPatty.ShutupIshipit!
I will also be very unhappy if he does join the Rogues, Lisa or not. The man was a part of the Tuskegee Airmen who fought in World War II. 8T He was a hero. Please don’t make me angry, you won’t like me when I’m angry about my history. *growls*
For Roscoe all things come back full circle. The world and life spins like a top going around and around or like one of Digger’s stupid boomerang metaphors. He was never a religious man but the book of Ecclesiastes always held some comfort for him. A time to love and a time to hate and all that crap.
“Is this the only way?” He asks the woman in purple.
“If you want to be with Lisa Snart? Yes.” She answers him, “Remember, I’m doing this as a favor to you. No one can know who you were. It must be like you’ve completely reincarnated, never remembering.”
A time to be born, A time to die
Death was no stranger to Roscoe Dillon. He had come back from Hell so many times now that he had lost all fear of it. Still, this was new and a little scary but it was the only way to be with Lisa which was what he wanted more than life itself.
“If it makes you feel any better, you’ll still come back as a smug arrogant bastard.” The woman in purple smiled. Roscoe just gave a little snort.
“Let’s see you try to stare down at the world when you’re looking from up top.”
He didn’t know much about his new host body except that he was going to be starting from the bottom and would have to work all over again. She wasn’t kidding. They had landed him in the most back water parents as a black man in the 1940’s. It reminded him of how much he had hated his first childhood. At least they let him keep his first name. Given his karmic record he shouldn’t have been surprised but really.
A time to plant, A time to reap
It was hard to keep the act up sometimes, especially after seventy years trapped in the speed force. There was nothing more that he wanted to do but slap Allen and get him to drag him out of the speed force but it didn’t work like that. If he messed up, he would go back to being dead. Just keel over as if Hynes had a heart attack. Nothing in the universe was easy. So he did a small easy battle that he knew Allen could handle.
A time of war, A time of peace
Seeing her again, beholding her all beautiful and golden just like he remembered. God she was beautiful. It took everything that he had to not hug her tight and never let her go. They talked about the attack against The Flash and Captain Cold but he was mostly focused on Lisa. Even reborn she was still fiery and passionate and vengeful.
When they left to go find the two fools he held the door open for her.
“You don’t have to do that, you know.” She told him hands on her hips, “I’m a big girl, I can take care of myself.”
“I didn’t hold it open because you needed it, ma'am.” He told her having gotten use to his new style of speech , “I held it open because I respect you.”
When she smiled at him he felt his heart melt.
A time you may embrace, A time to refrain from embracing
He’s going to enjoy this more than he should. There isn’t a lifetime or world where he wouldn’t want to beat on Allen and Cold, especially since Cold has never approved of him with his sister. More likely than not they’ll not succeed in killing them but that doesn’t really matter to the new Top: Turbine. He wants things to be the way they were when they were the Rogues together and he knows it will be that way again. Roscoe doesn’t know what will happen to the others, if they’ve been reincarnated or move on: Axel, James, Piper, Owen, Digger, or McCulloch. Still, he doesn’t worry. Somehow he knows that they’ll all come back again because not even death can stop a Rogue.
A time to cast away the Rogues. A time to gather Rogues together. To everything, turn, turn, turn…
