Hibiscus Rosa Sinensis, Aute Maohi, in common terms : “beauty”. When I was little I used to pick up hibiscus flowers for my mother to put on her ear. Sometimes they were so big they covered half of her face.
10/9/16: hibiscus “Snow Queen”; a flowering shrub whose exact scientific name I was not able to tease out, but closest I got was rosa sinensis! This plant features uniquely patterned green and white leaves and produces nice red flowers that attract a range of pollinators! It needs a warm climate to thrive in and the soil should be allowed to dry slightly between waterings.
