rory silver

Rory by Tim Silver

Silver is interested in “transformation and the boundaries of permanance and the temporary” (The Cat Street Gallery) and uses very fragile materials to create sculptures that decay over time.

In this work, he places an isolated child made of watercolour pigment in a large room, and a water droplet positioned above the sculpture.

What gradually occurred was the erasure of his features and form until the child was just a pile of crumbled, damp pigment on the floor.
