It has been a while since I last posted something, so I figure I’d upload proof that I’m not dead.
The truth is, I recently bought a analogue cintiq (READ AS sketch pad) and I’ve been drawing on that a LOT, and I haven’t had a chance to digitize any of the sketches because it’s been gloomy and awful here in Canada, so the lighting hasn’t been the best. Also, might have something to do with the PS4 I bought… Maybe…
Anyways, I figure I’d post some rough sketches of the new project I’ve working on, the MOE girls. This was a project I started WAY back, consisting of 12 girls in mecha exoskeletons based off the Chinese Zodiac. The acronymn stands for Mobile Operative Enforcer, but really is just me trying to squeeze “moe” into their decals because I’m a weeb PX. Following the 3D model of Tiger Lily, I figure I would revamp all of their designs to match, and if time permit, model them as well :P I will post them one by one as they are done, but have these super rough sketches for now :P
Chinese Zodiac : Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, Pig
Celtic Zodiac : Birch (the Achiever), Rowan (the Thinker), Ash (the Enchanter), Alder (the Trailblazer), Willow (the Observer), Hawthorne (the Illusionist), Oak (the Stabilizer), Holly (the Ruler),Hazel (the Knower), Vine (the Equalizer), Ivy (the Survivor), Reed (the Inquisitor), Elder (The Seeker)
-I'm the anon that asked you about your travels- yeah, just curious. I love traveling, to be honest I'd spend my life traveling if I could (I'm trying to make that happen actually), and you have been to so many places !!! that's amazing, you're so lucky, I feel so envious of you! and, sorry, but I HAVE to ask, what happened in Hungary????
Oh God. I feel you. Travelling and writing are all I really want to do. I never got to travel before college and then got lucky enough to have a scholarship that shipped me all over the friggin’ place.
With summer finally here, I got to visit the farm where my friends Sheep and Pony live! (Remember when Sheep and Pony gave me rides on their backs?) Sheep and Pony introduced me to so many new friends!
Here are some photos of our antics at the RoosterSheep meetup today with Gus and Jordan!
The weather was a bit dreary in typical Wellington fashion, but we made do, cramming ourselves (with upwards of 80 people) into a cafe and greenhouse at the botanical gardens.
We got the opportunity to get photos and have a chat with Gus and Jordan, as well as a few people getting to meet Esther. Gus was apparently very pleased to get to go to Te Papa and visit the Earthquake House, which simulates the effects of a real, very strong quake. I also got to meet some fellow community members, who I forged some pretty good friendships with and were all amazing to spend time with.
We got to take a group photo and film an AHWU intro before going off to a couple of bars to hang out and get some drinks. Unfortunately Gus and Jordan couldn’t make it, likely because they needed to get ready to head back on a very long flight.
It was definitely an awesome day and I had a great time.
By the way, credit for the awesome Vav cosplay goes to pirenthevaulthunter! goefframsey was cosplaying X-Ray as well but I don’t think I have any photos with her, unfortunately.
WE PLAYED ‘CARRY ON WAYWARD SON’ AND I SANG AND HE WAS ON GUITAR AND I DIDN’T EVEN NOTICE I WAS PLAYING WITH HIM UNTIL HALFWAY THROUGH THE SONG BUT WHO CARES BECAUSE IT WAS PRETTY MUCH THE GREATEST THING EVER ASJDKASHDLKASJDLK
