Mark this day, dear followers, I’m being proactive and posting BEFORE I go drinking scotch all evening!
The event? Peatin’ Meetin’ VIII, a glorious annual celebration of peated whiskies, the type I enjoy above all others. So, for the occasion, I share with you some appropriate posts from the Scotch Trooper, who has embodied a very similar love of two amazing gifts to mankind, Star Wars & Scotch Whisky!
Man, a hundred issues really went by fast!! Not really. It took me over a year to read this far. But I’ve also been reading a lot of other mini-series and crossovers so it’s actually a lot more than a hundred issues. Anyway, it looks like the X-Men celebrate their anniversary by getting into a fight with the Hellions, the Hellfire Club’s version of the New Mutants. The X-Men should stomp the shit out of these noobs. And Firestar is there for some reason? The Firestar from that old Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends cartoon? Huh. (Uncanny X-Men #192 – Apr 1985)
