rodanthe nc

This afternoon included acai bowls, field work at the beach, and driving down to rodanthe to see the houses that are nearly in the water due to erosion.

We got back to the house around 5:30 and I went for my second run of the day at the golden hour and it was perfect- the air smelled like pine and smoke which reminded me of christmas, there was a nice sea breeze, and it had every feeling of a perfect afternoon fall run.

The waves were here before, and will be here long after we are gone.

Civilization, no matter how permanent, is a fleeting spec in the grand scope of geological history. Nothing is permanent. The waves will wash it all away.

And with this in mind, I felt it was again time for a change. Trying our best to keep up with the ever-shifting wind, tide, and season.
