This part is here on the AO3.

Kurt finds Blaine by the lockers, just like every morning. He’s sorting through books and papers with such an adorable look of concentration on his face, Kurt can’t hold back the smile as he walks closer to him, leans his shoulder casually against the locker next to Blaine’s.

“Good morning.”

Blaine jumps a little, almost drops his history book, then turns toward him and laughs a little embarrassed laugh. “Good morning. Oh my god. You scared me.”

Kurt grins. “I’m sorry.” He reaches up with one hand to straighten Blaine’s bow tie – it has little kittens on it, he can’t believe his boyfriend sometimes – and takes a step closer as Blaine closes his locker. “You look cute today.”

Bow Ties are Cool

Because Blaine is exactly the kind of goober that would insist on celebrating National Bow Tie Day (August 28, 2015). 2.5K [AO3]

“Mmm, good morning,” Kurt mumbles sleepily as he shuffles into the bathroom. Blaine is nearly done with his morning routine, pink cheeked and whistling a cheerful tune as he puts the finishing touches on his hair, the gel already drying to hard shellac impervious to the humid summer heat outside.

He turns and wraps his arms around Kurt’s waist, leaning in immediately for a kiss.

“Should probably let me brush my teeth first, I bet I have morning breath,” Kurt protests weakly. But Blaine presses on, undeterred, and Kurt melts into the kiss, sucking on Blaine’s bottom lip lazily. He hasn’t had his morning coffee yet and he’s barely awake, but he’s got seven years of muscle memory to draw on when it comes to kissing his husband. It’s as easy and automatic a process as driving a car is for him, and much, much more pleasurable.

“Hi,” Blaine greets him as they break apart.

“Hi yourself,” Kurt replies. “You’re in a good mood this morning, huh?”

“Of course, why wouldn’t I be?” Blaine asks, tilting his head to the side as he studies Kurt.

“Why would you be?” Kurt grumbles. “It’s not even 7:00 AM yet and we were up way too late last night listening to Rachel’s latest tale of woe. I’m exhausted,” he yawns.

“Today’s a big day, that’s why!” Blaine chirps excitedly. “You didn’t forget what today was, did you?” he inquires, slightly accusingly.

“We can eat in here?”

Burt nearly laughed out loud at the pure expression of shock on Blaine’s face. The kid was only in pre-K, but his sense of propriety seemed to have been instilled since birth.

“Sure, buddy,” Burt reassured him. “Pizza and movies go hand-in-hand, and we don’t have a TV by the dinner table, so…”

“We’ll lay a rug out on the floor if you don’t want to eat from your knee, Blaine,” Elizabeth offered kindly.

“We’d have a better view of the TV from down there,” Kurt nodded, clambering up to stand on the couch. He tugged at the blanket which resided on the back of it, almost upending himself in the process before Burt stepped in to help.

“I’ll call for the pizzas,” Elizabeth said, shaking her head and heading for the phone in the kitchen while the boys busied themselves getting the blanket into the perfect position.

Barista Boy

So, here I am, finally, posting my most recent contribution to the Klaine Book Project.  To be honest, it’s a slightly longer and slightly edited version because I’m incapable of pulling up any old work of mine to post without reading through it and making adjustments one more time.

It was such a joy to participate!  Please check out the lovely accompanying art by the incredibly talented eccentric_llama (although I believe most of your already have! :-)

Barista Boy

The first day he came in, Blaine nearly pushed Jessica over in his haste to greet him with nary a thought.  The man stood still as an exquisitely-chiseled statue while Blaine clumsily readied his coffee: a no-frills small drip that Blaine almost upped to a large at no extra charge before he decided that no, that would be too obvious.

The man watched him patiently, silently, the tiny quirk of a smile at the corner of his mouth and a faint twinkle in his eyes betraying his amusement.  “Thank you, Blaine,” he said politely when he was finally handed his mug.

Trumping Trump? A Sweet DREAMers Fic

Blaine Anderson/Kurt Hummel AU Read on AO3
Rating: M      Word Count: 5963

Summary: Kurt and Blaine are enjoying some much needed couples time before the Fall semester begins, Kurt having just returned from six weeks in Ohio visiting his dad.  Life would be amazing if Donald Trump wasn’t running for President, and if he hadn’t just announced his immigration “policy” on Meet the Press. Part of the Sweet DREAMers ‘Verse.

Author’s Note:  If you haven’t read the original Sweet DREAMers, Blaine Anderson is a business major at Baruch College of the City University of New York (CUNY).  Blaine came to the United States from the Philippines on a tourist visa with his mom when he was three years old and since then, has lived in Woodside, Queens with his mom and cousin Marco. As a gay, undocumented student, he has the questionable good fortune to belong to two marginalized populations. Blaine is in a relationship with Kurt Hummel, a U.S. citizen from Lima, Ohio, and a theatre major attending New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

It adds to the enjoyment of this fic if you’re familiar with the plot, the characters, and their personalities from the earlier work, but if you’re not prepared to read thirty four chapters first, then chapters 30-34 will introduce you to the key plot points and supporting characters that are important to “Trumping Trump.”

Huge thanks to my wonderful beta, flowerfan

Time has advanced eight months from where the original Sweet DREAMers ended.

Kurt woke up slowly, reveling in the novelty of sharing his bed with his gorgeous boyfriend again.  He felt like a man who had reached the oasis after a month in the dessert.  It wasn’t a bad analogy…he had been in Ohio, visiting his dad, for a good chunk of the summer, and much of that time was spent pining for Blaine. But he had been back in New York for a week, and he and Blaine had been together as much as possible, making up for lost time.

At the moment, Blaine was the big spoon and fast asleep; his body tightly wrapped around Kurt’s, his arm thrown protectively around Kurt’s waist, and his face nestled against Kurt’s shoulder blade.  Normally, these were all good things, wonderful things, actually, but it was mid-August in New York City, and the air conditioning was losing the battle with the summer heat.  Kurt’s back and neck were wet with sweat and he wondered if he could gently extricate himself from Blaine without waking him.

Kurt slowly moved forward, away from Blaine.  He heard the soft sound of Blaine’s head falling back against the pillow, and felt his boyfriend’s hand slide back and away from his waist.  Blaine’s breathing changed, and he mumbled something unintelligible.  Kurt held his breath and waited. When there were no further sounds, Kurt rolled so he was facing his boyfriend.  The wetness on Kurt’s back and neck began to evaporate, now that it was exposed to the air in the room.  Kurt sighed happily as he gazed at the sleeping face of the man with whom he was hopelessly and helplessly in love, his curls askew, his face covered in stubble.  He looked absolutely delicious.

Kurt reached for his phone on the table by his bed to check the time.  It was just past 7:30 am.  He laid back down and closed his eyes. He was not in any hurry to get out of bed this morning.

Chrysalis - Chapter 19

Klaine; 2700 words (67k total); A03.

When Kurt got home the next afternoon, Blaine was curled up on the couch, a blanket wrapped around him and one leg stuck out on the coffee table, the cuff of his yoga pants pushed up and a bag of ice balanced on his shin.  Kurt’s heart clenched in his chest.

 “Honey, you okay?”

Blaine sat up, giving Kurt a wan smile.  “Yeah, I’m fine.  Long story.”  He nodded at his phone.  “Let me just say goodbye to Sam, and I’ll tell you all about it.”

Kurt toed off his shoes and hung his blazer by the door, then went into the kitchen and got them each a glass of apple juice, while Blaine spoke quietly into his phone.  Kurt waited until he was done to hand him the glass.  Blaine’s hand shook almost enough to spill the juice as he drank it down, and Kurt bit his lip.  Blaine might be okay, but he didn’t really seem fine.
