When the comedy genius Phyllis Diller died last week we dug out an interview that never aired in the U.S. It was conducted in her home last year by Darby Maloney, producer of KCRW’s The Business for a BBC documentary about Diller.

In these excerpts we hear Diller talk about her beloved home, how she paints every day, why she got into show business at the age of 37 and her friendships with Bob Hope and David Sedaris.
