Had a wonderful weekend - two days at Evergreen Lodge with no internet or phone (I learned how to play backgammon & read a whole book) and then today, I went to Yosemite for the first time in 21 years.
It was so beautiful!
Last Thursday, I went back to see Bouquets to Art at the de Young Museum. I had stumbled on it last year, and now it has become part of my birthday week tradition. I absolutely loved it, and highly recommend anyone in SF check it out next March when it will come back.
So, my little sister turned 17 today… which makes me feel super old. But the best part of moving back to California (better than the weather, the ocean, the other great people), has been getting to spend more time with her, and see the awesome person she is growing up to be.
Yesterday, some NYC friends were in town and we braved a visit to Sutro Baths and Lands End (all cloaked by Karl the Fog). It was a great visit, and I hadn’t been on much of the Land’s End trail before. This shot was taken just beyond the USS San Francisco Memorial, with a few of the bottom half of the Golden Gate Bridge. The trail/path maintained by the Golden Gate National Parks is pretty great! More walks there in the future, for sure.
