Review: Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquers

So once again, I’m pretty late to hop onto a trend, but I’ve been testing these out for about a month now and I think I’ve developed a pretty good opinion on them.

I have the Show Off Lip Lacquers in the shades Nude Eclipse, Celestial, and Luna

These are extremely pigmented as you can tell from the swatches (only one swipe each)! They’re super creamy and they are really good at staying on your lips until you eat or drink something. Though as they start to fade I find that they tend to do so evenly.
They don’t settle into the little crevices on my lips (something I absolutely hate with lip products and why I don’t wear a lot of lippies) and I, personally, love the smell of these (they smell like sour watermelon candy).
You can’t smell them once you apply it though so if you’re not a big fan of lippies with smell this can still work for you!

The only downside to these is that because of the super creamy formula you can’t just reapply without a mirror, it’s a disaster waiting to happen. So they are slightly more high maintenance than I enjoy.

Overall they are an amazing product though. They’re creamy, pigmented, affordable, and the packaging is adorable. Though I wish the US version had gotten the cool “Apocalips” name too. :/

10/10 will purchase more.

                                         November Favorites!

Hey guys! Okay so it’s almost Christmas, can you say excitement?! Who else is still Christmas shopping? I’m always still getting presents at the last minute. >_> Anyways, I haven’t really tried out many new products this month, I’m trying to use up my stash of products, but I figured I’d still share my favorites for the month of November!

                                            Beauty Favorites!

  • Dove Style + Care Frizz Free Shine Cream-Serum - I absolutely love this stuff, this isn’t the first time it’s made it to my favorites. It smells delicious and makes my hair look and feel silky smooth.
  • Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deep Conditioner - In trying to use up my accumulation of hair products, I’ve rediscovered this beauty. I use this after using a clarifying shampoo and it makes my hair feel so soft.
  • VS Fragrance Mist in Sheer Love - I put a bit of my sister’s VS Fragrance mist in a travel spray bottle to take with me on the go, I absolutely love this scent. It’s so fresh and light with just a hint of floral to it.
  • Rimmel Clean Finish Matte Foundation - I LOVE this foundation, besides the fact that it’s matte (my favorite), it doesn’t cling to dry patches, it feels light but it has medium to full coverage, and it has really good staying power. Plus it has a little spatula in it which is super helpful since it doesn’t have a pump.
  • Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes - I’ve tried out quite a few makeup wipes over the past few months and these are by far my favorites out of any. They get rid of all the makeup on my face with no trouble at all. The only downside is they have a pretty strong smell.
  • Revlon Matte Balm Stains - Can I just say I REALLY hope these aren’t limited edition?? I absolutely love matte lips and when I saw these I had to pick up a few. I have the shades 250 Standout and 205 Elusive. They are absolutely gorgeous. They smell amazing, they feel like you’re wearing nothing on your lips, they’re super moisturizing (they don’t feel drying like most matte lipsticks), they have good staying power, and they fade evenly.
  • Clearasil Daily Clear Oil-Free Daily Gel Wash - I absolutely love this stuff. Clearasil is definitely one of those brands that doesn’t get enough hype for how good the products are. It smells great; it has 2% salicylic acid; it’s oil free; and it makes my skin feel clean without that tight, dry feeling.

                                      Entertainment Favorites!

  • The Breakfast Club - So I watched this at the beginning of the month out of curiosity over the hype. Believe the hype, guys. It’s so good. It’s something I think every teenager can relate to on some level. Judd Nelson is my fave now.
  • One Direction’s Midnight Memories album - Can we just please talk about this for a second? This album sounds so different from anything One Direction has put out before, don’t judge the album on the sound of Best Song Ever. It’s very rock N’ roll/indie pop style. I love it. The whole album is fantastic. My current favorite song is “Does He Know?" because it reminds me so much of ”Jessie’s Girl" by Rick Springfield.

And that’s really all my favorites for the month of November. Anyone have any exciting holiday plans coming up? I love you guys! ~ Sica
