yes. YES. this scene was so important. you do not need faith to be a good person. you do not need faith to live a moral and righteous life. you don’t need a holy book to dictate to you what is right and what is wrong. we are rational thinking humans with a sense of morality. there are many, many awful people who do immoral things but claim they believe in god. there are many, many awful people who do awful things IN THE NAME OF GOD. some would even say that those immoral people who believe in god are better than moral people who don’t…why can’t people see how twisted that is? you don’t want to recognize and acknowledge the good in people if they don’t share your faith but that only makes you a bad person, not the non believer. i don’t know how it’s logical that apostates are the scum of the earth when most apostates are good people who just don’t share a certain faith. my mantra is and always has been, YOU DON’T NEED FAITH TO BE A GOOD PERSON. i am so glad skam has brought this point to light. your beliefs and religious philosophies mean nothing if you don’t act on them. you are just a pretentious fuck. believing in being a good person and BEING a good person is two separate things. stop judging people so shallowly.

1 Peter 4:7
The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers.

We all know the world and our lives will end some day, but what we don’t know is when.

For nearly two thousand years people always assumed the end would happen within their lifetime. The end could happen a second from now or perhaps not for another few hundred or thousands of years. Many people try to link prophecies in the Bible claiming they have been fulfilled, while others claim that there are still some prophecies left to be fulfilled for the Lord’s return. The truth is that even if there were any unfulfilled prophecies left, God could fulfill every single prophecy in a single day if He wanted to. Remember these 2 identical passages in the Bible:

Mark 13:32
“However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows.

Matthew 24:36
“However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows.

Jesus could be coming at any second, but no one knows when that will happen, not even Jesus of Nazareth Himself knew of the date while He was walking on Earth as a human. Only God the Father knows when Christ will return to us. The end can happen at any moment, which means we have to live our lives as if the end were to happen a second from now.

I suppose it comforts people to think that they would go to Heaven without having to experience death. It would be great just having God come and gather us, free of pain or suffering, and we’d be in Heaven without any of the pain and difficulties that come from dying. There has only been 2 people (Enoch and Elijah) in the whole Bible who were spared of death and they were extremely lucky to have God gather them up without letting them die like all other humans, and that’s something most people sincerely desire.

But the truth is that “NO ONE KNOWS THE DAY OR THE HOUR“ when the Lord will return. You know why that’s so important? It’s because only by not knowing when He’ll return that we will be ready at all times. Say for instance the Bible informed us "exactly 2,050 years after The Lord’s death He will return” and with that kind of precise dating, do you think most people would be compelled to live a righteous and faithful life until about a month away from the year 2,050 or until they are in their old age? Not knowing when the Lord will return is absolutely the best thing that could have happen to mankind. Not knowing ensures that we must live a good life our entire lives in fear of going down to the pit of fire for all eternity.

Proverbs 1:7
Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and discipline.

Fear is a good thing? ABSOLUTELY! The Bible mentions two specific types of fear. The first type is beneficial and is to be encouraged. The second type is a detriment and is to be overcome. The first type of fear is fear of the Lord. This type of fear does not necessarily mean to be afraid of something. Rather, it is a reverential awe of God; a reverence for His power and glory. However, it is also a proper respect for His wrath and anger. In other words, the fear of the Lord is a total acknowledgement of all that God is, which comes through knowing Him and His attributes. Fear the Lord, and only the Lord.

Trust in God’s timing. Know that He will send Jesus down to Earth again when it’s time. True Christians are the remnant of faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord. Even though there might be few true Christians left, God will never allow Christianity to be completely wiped out from the planet. The God of Israel, Yahweh our God, will gather us up when it’s time. Just keep living your life for Christ and you will be saved. Do not worry about the day of His return so much. Follow God and His perfect rules and regulations and you’ll have absolutely nothing to worry about.

The only people that should fear the Rapture are the non-Christians and the lukewarm Christians. If you go to a strong Bible based church that teaches the Bible and all its truths no matter how hard it might be to accept it (after all, the world teaches people not to believe in the Bible) and you are willing to live your life according to the Bible you will have nothing to fear at the Rapture, in fact you might actually look forward to it.

Whether the Rapture will happen Pre-Tribulation, Post-Tribulation, End-Tribulation does not matter. People argue and worry themselves over the silliest things. The whole point of not knowing is to live righteous and faithful lives our entire lives, stop stressing so much about the details of the Rapture. Just live for God and you won’t have to worry so much, after all that’s the whole point of not knowing when He’ll return.

Maybe the Lord will come within your lifetime or maybe not, we just have to keep living our lives as if the rapture could happen at any second, after all that’s the whole reason why God never told us when the Lord would return. Whether the Lord comes within my lifetime or not, I’m ready and will gladly be looking forward to go to His Kingdom, whether at the Rapture or after I die.

Accept the Lord in your life as your Savior right now, love Him and His commandments and be saved while you still can. Stop worrying so much about the when the rapture will happen. Just live your life in a way that honors God and His sacrifice at the cross and you’ll have nothing to worry about in this life or the next.
