Man, I seriously can’t believe it’s been a full year since the GF finale. It’s feels weird. But I am so glad that this fandom has stayed so strong since then. Even after the end, it’s been one heck of a ride.
Steve Trevor is intrinsic to her storyline. So we need to find the perfect guy who was not intimidated by a woman like Wonder Woman, but who was a man himself. Chris Pine is an amazing actor. He is hilarious, charming, and truly was a great partner on the ride.

Drawn for @gfzine, while riding shotgun on a big red truck on its way to a cabin in the woods. Many, many thanks to the incredible mods who organized it, and the amazing artists who came along for the ride.
“Because Dad was right. [People] are better than us.” “They are broken, flawed abortions.” “Damn right, they’re flawed. But a lot of them try to do better, to forgive. And you should see the Spearmint Rhino. I’ve been riding the pine a long time, but I’m in the game now. And I’m not on your side or Michael’s. I’m on theirs.”
Damn right they’re flawed. But a lot of them try. To do better, to forgive. And you should see the Spearmint Rhino! I’ve been riding the pine a long time. But I’m in the game now, and I’m not on your side, or Michael’s. I’m on theirs.
I rewatched Hammer of the Gods earlier today and now I’m emotionally compromised again.
Lyft’s marketing strategy for Shuttle may lack self-awareness. But to dismiss such services as redundant is to obscure both the conditions that give rise to them and the real threat that they pose to public infrastructure.
No doubt Lyft is aware that city buses exist—as are lots of people who either choose not to ride them, or who ride them while pining for a better alternative. Like Uber before it, the company has come to believe there’s unmet demand for a service that resembles a city bus in some important ways yet differs in others.
One rather obvious difference between Lyft Shuttle and the city bus is that the shuttles aren’t, well, buses. They’re cars, and that means both a different experience for the riders and a different level of flexibility for the drivers and route planners. Lyft can plan its shuttle routes according to its own fine-grained data on rider behavior, and can rearrange them at any time. That’s in contrast to city bus systems such as San Francisco’s MUNI, which gets painfully overcrowded on key routes during commute hours, but runs mostly empty at other times.
The more intimate setting of a car also puts more pressure on Lyft to ensure that troublesome riders are booted from the service, which it can do more easily because it’s private. At the same time, the fact that you need a smartphone to order a Lyft makes it likely to exclude older and poorer riders. The fact that you need a bank account makes it inaccessible to many undocumented immigrants.
Those might all be big selling points for Lyft Shuttle if you’re a young techie who doesn’t want to deal with drunks or belligerents on your daily commute. It’s more concerning if you believe in the egalitarianism of public transit, which is explicitly designed to serve the underserved. (The same goes for the flexibility of Lyft Shuttle’s route planning, which is great for Lyft but not so great for anyone who’s left relying on it because they lack alternatives.)
Lyft didn’t reinvent the city bus, any more than Uber reinvented the taxi. It’s offering a service that is likely to compete with city buses, for better or worse. And rather than glossing over the differences, we should be highlighting them, lest we forget what makes genuine public transit worth preserving.
Ok, hear me out cuz @atrailof-whispers and have a thing cooking and like this is gonna happen and I’m just so excited about it that I had to share, cuz who doesn’t like these things? Anyways. ON with the headcanons for this fic!
Lance is a professional soccer player
Keith is a fencer at college, studying astrophysics, and is Shiro's little brother.
Pidge is a gymnast at the college level and is studying computer science
Pidge and Keith go to the same college btw
Hunk goes to culinary school
Shiro runs a dojo/gym that everyone eventually trains at, he’s a martial artist
Allura works at Shiro’s dojo/gym as a trainer, is also a martial artist
Shallura Rivalry: they bicker with each other all the time
they each go to lance and Keith to talk/complain/gush about the other
have I mentioned mutual pining for Shallura? no? ok well there is xD
Keith and Lance do the same thing with Shiro and Allura
So Allura, Lance, and Hunk all live in a townhouse together, leaving the 4th bedroom as a small training room for Lance and Allura, like treadmill and weights. Hunk gets full reign of the kitchen, equal trade.
Hunk and Lance went to high school together
Allura babysat Lance’s younger siblings and they hit it off really well, became really good friends and pushed each other to follow their dreams
Keith is a huge conspiracy theorist, hence why he’s studying astrophysics, Pidge sees Keith working on a theory and they have a bonding moment over it
They all train on the side at Shiro’s dojo/gym. They being Pidge, Shiro, Keith, Allura, and Matt are all regulars there.
Oh! Matt helps Shiro manage his dojo/gym. He helps Pidge train there, sometimes he teaches
All the drama starts when Shiro and allure have this huge argument in front of their class. Shiro telling Allura that she was pushing her students too hard, and Allura saying that he was being too soft and all that fun jazz.
side note: one of the kids asks if they were going to kiss because they ended up getting in each other’s faces and this prompts allura to leave
matt covers for Allura
Allura storms out and goes home, calling for a fam meeting. Lance leaves his practice early and Hunk gets to cooking the comfort food
Shiro leaves the dojo at the end of the day and complains/gushes to Keith
Lance and Keith are basically on the same wavelength:
Why do you still work there?/ she still works there??
Why don’t you quit?/ why don’t you fire her?
Commence the teasing cuz we all know they have the hots for each other even if they can’t see it yet, amiright??
Allura eventually goes “fine, im done, im quitting” but Lance stops her and convinces her to let her check shiro out before she makes any emotional and rash decisions
Lance goes and checks out the dojo/gym and immediately impressed
Shiro is training Keith
Lance can’t get close enough
Keith gets lucky and beats Shiro for once
Lance approaches Keith, thinking he’s Shiro (cuz he won against Shiro)
Keith is hella confused for a moment before he realizes that Lance thinks he’s Shiro, but decided to play along anyways
Lance is rambling on about how he, “Shiro” needs to treat his employees better and with more respect and let them do as they see fit.
Keith: *smirks* k~, and just walks away from lance
This just pissed Lance right tf off
Lance goes to run the track to let off steam before he heads home. Matt waves him down to make sure Allura is ok. He’s heard both Lance and Allura mention the other and put the two together
Lance immediately launches into how “Shiro” is a grade A asshole and matt is thinking: “Dude are we thinking the same Shiro?” Cuz Shiro is a big ol’ teddy bear
Lance points out “Shiro” who is actually Keith. Matt just laughs and says that the “Shiro” lance just pointed out was actually Keith, Shiro’s younger brother.
And this just leads to Matt shipping Shallura hardcore, Pidge is a hardcore Klance Shipper, Hunk is along for the ride.

“Ahhh!” You squeal as a hand grabs you from out of the shadows, barely able to process it half asleep, glass of water you had just trudged to the kitchen for falling from your hand. Lashing out, you go to punch but are deflected, met with hysterical laughter as your heart pounds in your chest, “Goddammit Dean!”
“You should have seen your face.” His laugh booms off the stone walls, tears coming from the corners of his eyes, not even trying to compose himself.
You smack his shoulder, annoyed by the eldest Winchester’s shenanigans, “What the hell did you do that for?”
I love my Chriss (plural of Chris?)on motorcycles. Pine rides one in Star Trek and Wonder Woman. Pratt rides one in Jurassic World. Evans rides one as Captain America all the time. Hemsworth needs to get on board and ride a motorcycle.
