Rick The Peanut Guy, a staple at Seattle sporting events since 1977, died today. Rick has kept thousands of fans entertained for decades, throwing behind-the-back peanut passes around the Kingdome and Safeco Field. Even though I have a life threatening allergy to peanuts, I loved seeing this guy. I once saw him throw one behind his back to the next level up, then walk up there to get the money later in the inning. RIP Rick, you’re a legend and will definitely be missed.
RIP to these guys Bill the beer man & Rick the Peanut Guy! Famous Local Seattle Sports Venders. I have caught a few peanuts tossed behind the back by Rick the Peanut Guy in my day.. said to hear he passed away. He has worked for the Mariners since 1977.. From the Kingdom to Safeco.
