rhumb lines

Rhumb Lines
An old cartography element used for navigation, and usually on a certain bearing or course.

ArcMap How To:
a. In layout mode, add your desired north arrow
b. Focus your data frame and copy the north arrow into the map
c. Select the graphic and convert it to a point feature, delete all north arrow graphics
d. switch to data view and symbolize the north arrow to match your layout version create a line feature class and using the north arrow draw the lines across your map frame

I like converting the north arrow graphic to a feature because i can use transperancy It’s 2012 and i cant use transperancy for map graphics :(
