rewrite the world

Top 10 Anime Of The Week: Winter 2017 (Not mine, didn’t make this)

I feel bad that slavery happened because it was a horrible thing and nobody should have had to go through that. I feel bad for the innocent people that were taken from their homes and forced into slavery and endured horrible conditions for the rest of their lives.

I do not, however, feel in any way shape or form responsible or guilty for slavery. I was not there. I did not nor have I ever enslaved anyone. I do not owe you an apology or reparations for something I (and 99% of the population that actually lived during that time) didn’t do.

I will mourn the trajedies of the past. I will condemn those actions and do what I can to help make sure that they are not repeated. I will not, however, tolerate bullying, harassment, or any other kind of intolerance towards me or others because we happen to share a similar skin shade as the men and women who committed those heinous acts. I will not stand by and let you rewrite world history or definitions to fit your hateful agenda. My heart bleeds for the people who suffered enslavement, but I have no sympathy for those of you who suffer victim complexes over something you never experienced. There are actual issues going on in the world right now, stop creating a fuss over something that stopped being an issue 200 years ago.
This is what love does: It makes you want to rewrite the world. It makes you want to choose the characters, build the scenery, guide the plot. The person you love sits across from you, and you want to do everything in your power to make it possible, endlessly possible. And when it’s just the two of you, alone in a room, you can pretend that this is how it is, this is how it will be.

Just to be clear

Sinbad wanted to make a better world, one where no one would fight, where there would be no conflicts, no wars. His solution was to rewrite the entire world to fit his ideal.

Whatever you say: stripping every person of their will, their thoughts, their opinions, their individuality does not, in fact, make it a better world. Okay, nobody fights, but guess why: it’s because now everyone thinks in the same way, everyone thinks like Sinbad does. Worse, like Sinbad wants them to think.

Solomon’s system had flaws, but at least, people were still themselves, they made mistakes and learned from them or not, they had their own free will. How can Sinbad pretend that all he wants is to make the world better and then do something like that ?

When he interrupted the fight between Aladdin and Arba, he explicitely said that Solomon was irresponsible because he rewrote the rules of the world as he wished and then let go of the reins. Now, Sinbad’s got full hold of those reins and it’s absolutely terrifying.

That does not sounds like something the young boy from a small Parthevian village would do. In fact, Sinbad probably became everything he used to hate: someone who robs people of their freedom. Heh, he used to be all about freedom and independance, he used to value things like bonds and friendship and family, where is that now ?

The world he created is not peaceful, it’s cold, it’s a prison.

(not sure if what I sent just sent through, so I'll send it again just in case.... prompt for lokane) She hated his arrogant, smug, devious, handsome face, like he would devour her whole without remorse... ugh shut up stupid brain.

I didn’t get this, so thanks for the re-send!

She hated his arrogant, smug, devious, handsome face, like he would devour her whole without remorse. How could he look at her like that, right in front of Thor? Furious as Jane was, she couldn’t help but think herself stripped bare in light of that mocking grin. She shoved a strand of hair out of her eyes, meeting that grin with bared teeth and as seething a glare as she could muster.

Still he grinned. And worse, did she see a hint of admiration in those lazy, half-lidded eyes?

His gaze slid from her face as he purred, “I like her.”

‘Who lives who dies who tells your story’ 'Love is love is love is love, it can not be killed or swept aside’ Every generation of people, someone so great and wonderful comes along, they tell the story of those forgotten, they rewrite history, the make the world bright again, they build the ladder for those to come. *a thing I made about Lin, who is truly one of my idols and someone I dearly look up to, he has made me smile more then any one, though I have never met him, I feel as if he has known me my entire life, he is just…wonderful*

CunningCelt's 15 Days of Witchcraft Challenge: Pop Culture Edition

I love pop culture witchcraft, and the magic it inspires. A lot of my magic draws inspiration from witchy shows, movies, and fiction. This challenge is great for pop culture witches and everyone else: if you’re not a pop culture witch let yourself be inspired by pop culture and supernatural fiction. If you’re not interested in a particular type of magic listed, just skip that day. If you haven’t heard of some of the fiction mentioned, treat it as an opportunity to expose yourself to some great fantasy. Use this challenge to explore your spell writing abilities. Feel free to tag me in your posts, I want to see all your responses!

1. Write a spell based on or inspired by your favourite fairy tale.

2. Choose your favourite spell or spells from the TV show Charmed and rewrite it for real world application.

3. Write a dark, gothic-esque style spell inspired by Penny Dreadful.

4. Write a Lord of the Rings inspired spell about how to create and use the Light of Eärendil.

5. Write a ‘Protego’ protection spell from Harry Potter.

6. Write a spell to charm your shoes into 'ruby slipper’ talismans from The Wizard of Oz.

7. Write a spirit banishing spell and sigil like those used in Supernatural.

8. Write a spirit summoning spell like those used in Supernatural.

9. Write a glamour spell to hide your identity and intentions like the Evil Queen of Snow White.

10. Write a spell to see Wesen (spirits/fae/unseen beings); become like a Grimm.

11. Write a potion utilising the formula used in Jim Butcher’s The Dresden Files (described in this post: http://cunningcelt.tumblr.com/post/143987701145/potions-by-harry-dresden )

12. Write a full ritual to connect to the Elements in the style of Kate Forsyth’s The Witches Of Eileanan.

13. Create a spell and potion combination to help you experience past lives, like Ingrid and Freya Beauchamp from The Witches Of East End.

14. “One green eye, one blue…” Write a love spell like the one Sally Owens casts in Practical Magic. Note: write the spell to draw love and qualities into your life, NOT a spell to ensorcel a specific person into love.

15. Turn any meal into a spell in the style of Claire Waverly in Sarah Addison Allen’s Garden Spells.

I love how you try your best to give the most satisfying and detailed answer about sounds of you 💕 It helps us to understand better the characters. It's my fave from your works *i swear, I'm saying that every time you post new fic lmaoo*

Aww thank you!! I try to answer everything as best as I can unless it spoils something of course. I really like the characters in Sounds of You especially since I managed to separate myself from them this time–its really easy, as the writer, to write the main character after yourself or write them as the person that can do no wrong, so I made sure not to do that this time.

I think one of the mistakes I made in the past was making characters too flat, like Jungkook in Imperfect Pair. Point blank, he was just a dick, when I really should have given him redeeming qualities and more depth, which would have been more realistic.

Thank you for reading SoY and I really do hope that you like my future fics more than the past ones, because I would love to top myself each time if I could. I believe SoY will be better than Imperfect Pair, and hopefully the series after SoY– both Away and Englfued–can be as good or better!

THE NEW ORDER

The Order of the Phoenix, in days of old, had been established and revived in times of disorder with one clear purpose: stop Lord Voldemort. It was never designed to be anything grander than that; it wasn’t about changing the world, rewriting laws, or world peace. It was meant to be quick and clean - a team working in harmony toward one goal, and when (if) that was achieved, the Order would disband and go their separate ways.

The New Order (TNO) was created with the same mission statement. Spearheaded by Lysander, TNO have been working over the last decade to achieve their one and only mission: stop Lowell Tegus. While some might say they’ve been doing a bad job, it is with care and consideration that they’ve worked. It’s easy to point a wand at someone and whisper an Unforgivable Curse and let that be the end of it. TNO have never seen things so black and white: though they wish to bring Lowell Tegus down from power, they’re more than aware that his death isn’t the best way to go about it. Cutting the head off a hydra only creates two more heads. Killing a martyr only makes the belief grow stronger.

TNO have instead aimed at subtlety and subterfuge - infiltrating the Ministry and numerous other organisations and institutions to find allies and undermine Tegus’ work, TNO have exhausted almost all their resources. But they’re not looking to hire - in fact, they’re looking to close their ranks; no help is better than bad help, and any new recruit is liable to be more a hinder than help. Lysander runs a tight ship, commanding loyalty from the group and taking it forcefully - it’s not a democracy, it’s a dictatorship. He wants to see Tegus torn from his position in the Ministry because he, better than anyone else, knows what that man is capable of doing if he gets his way. The rest of TNO has also been made privy, and fight with similar determination.

City streets, apartment blocks, late nights, and one too many drinks colour TNO’s world. They’re on the ground, wands out, each and every day - it’s not a rescue mission for the wizarding world, but a targeted assassination.

So if someone were to do a rewrite

Where in the world is a good place to start? I enjoyed most of season 7 (Bamon moments and Defan stuff) and season 8 the majority was wasted opportunity. All that wasted screen time on sirens & cade? The ending felt like a 30 min infomercial except for Steffan and Damon moments. So back to my question…where would a person start? Before the finale of series 6? Mid season 7? Beginning of 8?
