Dame la muerte chiquita,
dame la muerte pequeña,
y así tal vez en tus brazos
alcanzaré gracia plena.

Su esencia de alta marea,
sus besos de tamarindo,
sus pestañas dos palmeras
a cuyo vaivén me rindo.

Dicen que usted trae las sombras
y por dentro está toda herida.

Dame la muerte chiquita,
antes del último sueño
una cosa Dios yo pido
un segundo ser su dueño.

La venganza es cosa dulce
y este machete que tengo
es por si alguien le hizo daño
que yo por usted me muero,
es por si alguien le hizo daño
que yo por usted…

Dicen que usted trae las sombras
y por dentro está toda herida,
por una noche en su lecho
soy capaz de dar la vida.

—  La muerte chiquita, Café Tacvba.

September is the patrotic month in Mexico. We celebrate the beggining of the fight for our Independence in 1810’s September 15th.

So, instead of complainig because, in my opinion, we have nothing to celebrate lately, I’m going to share with you somethings which I feel proud about my country.

Recognized like the Best Mexican Rock Album, “Revés/Yosoy” was recorded by whom are considered the mexican Beatles: Café Tacvba. The album was intended to be released like two separated albums originally, but Warner forced they to make a double-album.

“Revés” is full of experimental sounds: from traditional mexican melodies to powerful electric mixes. Some people dare to say that is even better than the White Album. Completely instrumental, you have the liberty to put any color you want to the songs.

“Yosoy” (which is the spanish palindrome of ‘I am’) is the 'comercial’ side of the album. Less experimental, but still with amazing sounds that you don’t find easily in the radio.
