revere-40

Hi

Just because you have a nice camera does not make you a good videographer. I’m tired of watching these boring, zero substance videos that have nothing going for them except the fact that it was filmed with an expensive camera. I would rather see a shit-quality video that has decent shots, framing, and substance.

I’m gonna buy me some film and Imma make a damn video on my great-grandfather’s Revere 40. Y’all will see what’s up. Sara’s back in the game.

But I guess I should probably get a job first…

My notes on Day 2 of She Reads Truths Open the Bible reading plan:

Today I learned that the Word of God should be shown reverence just like we show Him and because Jesus is the living Word, we ought to revere Him as well (John 17:13-15).

In Hebrews 4:12, the Bible describes the Word of God as being as powerful and sharp as a two-edged sword.

Hayley Morgan wrote: “we are learn that the word of God is living, sharper than a sword, and able to pierce right to the heart of the matter. There is reason that we handle sharp instruments with care—they have the power to cut through flesh. Scripture has that power, too. It is important to remember that, while the Bible—like a surgeon’s scalpel—is sharp for our good, it is sharp nonetheless. To approach it without reverence would be to vastly misunderstand its very nature”!about Hebrews 4:12.

I pray one day to revere the Word of God as Morgan encourages us to.

In relation to prayer, Psalm 119:17-40 is a prayer I need in my life. It’s like David knew me and what the condition of my heart and life would be. This scripture sounds like something I would verbally declare. I’m so glad the Lord chose to bless us with the book of Psalms because it shows that even the greatest of Christians, struggle too.

One verse that stuck out to me, over the countless times I read that scripture today, was verse 29. It reads: Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously.

This is my life at the moment. Lying is a flaw of mine that I hate to the max because I’ve experienced the true and real side of lying. It never leaves you with favorable results. Someone always ends up hurt and you end up filled with regrets, while hoping you had taken the path of truth.

"Abba please bless my mouth to speak truth and truth alone as You have called Your children to. May your will be done and your way and word be obeyed by me. In Jesus name I pray these things, Amen"

In relation to the truth, the Bible says we can obtain it through the Spirit of God, who speaks the truth.
