UPDATE 139: Otilia is Back
Last time Agatha had actually made progress in returning the Castle’s mind to the structure! It was quite fast. She found a good point to hook the head, and even had time to tease Tarvek a couple times. It was actually pretty funny, even if Tarvek didn’t find it funny at all. So let’s continue!
It’s rather fortunate Tarvek is here, what with his experience with the muses. I believe Agatha would have been able to work well, but I think it’s better for someone who knows more than her to work with such delicate machine as Van Rijn’s muses. Besides, he’s currently Agatha’s assistant, she gives the indication of what to do – hey, Tarvek, connect this clank head here – and he does it. He has other things in mind than the joy he should feel when working with a muse, though.
Oh dear…now that’s worrying. Could it be a side-effect of Lucrezia’s presence in her mind? If that’s the case, well…I fear the brooch Agatha has may not be enough to contain Lucrezia. If it slowly but surely takes over Agatha’s mind, then everyone will be in trouble. It could be a good time Tarvek just noticed this – and the fact Agatha is offended is a good sign too. If that’s what’s going on, it’s not too late to save Agatha!
But this is no more than a theory, a possibility that may or may not be accurate. I think it could have the potential to be an important plot point in the future – uh, but hopefully for once the plot advances some more. It’s too bloated right now to add more to it.
Agatha is appropriately concerned about what this could mean. Good! Take it seriously, that’s great! And she fears she can’t even trust her own emotions, and she may be right, Lucrezia is the flirty type. I think her feelings towards Gil are authentic, but I admit I fear a bit that her feelings for Tarvek may be influenced by Lucrezia, since most of it has been while Lucrezia has been in her head. I mean, it’s true Agatha showed attraction right from the first meeting, but that’s not enough to form a solid relationship on, you see?
