On This Day

24 April 1944:  754 heavy bombers, thirteen combat wings, escorted by 22 fighter groups attack targets in the Munich area.  Light opposition was encountered over the targets with the exception of Oberpfaffenhofen, resulting in 39 bombers and 17 fighters lost for the day.  Bombing results were described as “very good” and “excellent” in 303rd and 100th Bomb Group after-action reports for the day.  A total of 12 bombers were interned in Switzerland due to damaged received on the mission.

The day that I feared most.

one third of 2017 had passed. 8 months left for me to live in that school. After March next year, the day I receive my final examination result, is the day that I feared the most. Not because of the exam result.

My fear is when I step out of the school ground

for the last time as one of the students,

I will never able to

see you.

again.

"...It's not much, but," he had braved a bakery for her, bringing her an assortment of buns - some he had to bribe the baker to make, with Nohrian chocolate melted in the middle. "...H-happy birthday." ;;shira is super late but im here

𝓣𝓻𝓾𝓽𝓱 𝓫𝓮 𝓽𝓸𝓵𝓭, a thin blanket of fatigue is wrapped around her shoulders by the time begins to set. Not at all as a result of the day’s festivities, but most likely due to the early hour in which she began her day, all for the sake of her shrine duties. Still, a quiet smile pulls at her lips when she sees the ninja, a tiny glow of warmth taking root within her chest.

Hm? Eyes flicker down to the box of sweets he hands out to her, blinking in a stunned silence before it’s shattered by the soft music of her giggles. Her words almost don’t come out as a result, eyes twinkling. She knows his aversion to the treats she indulges in so much, knows oh too well that traveling into town to merely purchase them takes quite a bit from the ninja to accomplish.

And… well, she suspects he’s a tad embarrassed! How cute…

Rising up to her fullest height uon her toes, soft lips brush against the side of his mask, punctuated with another airy giggle.

Oh Siazo… thank you.

Debating on upcoming 1st RE appt. Advice?

TL;DR: Doctor wants to do IUI, but also tells me to go to RE?Hi everyone! I did a quick search but wasn’t able to find a post with a similar situation as mine, so here it goes. TTC for 1yr with short (23-24 days) and regular cycles. We went to the doctor at the beginning of the month and, so far, I’ve gotten: * Day 3 labs: FSH came back at 22. My doctor thinks it’s abnormally high for someone my age and mentioned getting it re-tested. * Day 9/10 u/s: Doctor found 3 follicles and wanted to do IUI in the next few days. Turned it down because we still hadn’t done DH’s SA (did them yesterday, waiting on results). * Day 21 labs: Progesterone at 8. Doctor said it’s low and should be monitored when I get a BFP.So here’s the thing, I have an RE appointment scheduled for May 1st (in the middle of the day, so it’ll interfere with work and it’s actually an important day at work). I’m a little confused as to why my doctor wanted to do an IUI without SA, and also told me to keep my RE appt for next month. What will the RE do differently? I’m guessing performing some more tests? But won’t it ultimately end with an IUI like my doctor wants to do? Some insight will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading.

BPC-157 Is a Godsend

It has now been 3 days I have been taking 0.75 mg of BPC-157 sublingually and I can safely say this is the best nootropic I have ever bought. After some research, I figured that this would be the best compound that would help me fix the anxiety and lack of motivation caused by abuse of amphetamines and I am more than happy with the results. After only 3 days, within an hour of ingestion, I can feel human again. For the first two days, I felt lethargic and drowsy but I could definitely feel something happening. I’m now on the third day and not only am I feeling much better but I feel back to my old self, before the amphetamine abuse..If any of you are reluctant in trying this amazing nootropic, I would say definitely go for it. Maybe it’s too early to assume such things but I can most certainly feel my anhedonia and my anxiety melting away and I can’t be happier. I’ll update my complete results after I finish the full 5 mg vial but man is this stuff amazing. via /r/Nootropics

I recently had the privilege of doing the “25 Songs, 25 Days” challenge.

Search Multiple Departure Dates: Plane ticket prices can vary greatly depending on when you travel. Leaving a day later or earlier could save you $20-$100. In general, traveling during mid-week will give you the best prices. I really like Student Universe’s flexible travel search feature (other sites are starting to offer this feature as well). It gives you all the results for 3 days +/- of your selected travel date. This lets you find the best time to travel.

⭐️30 DAY RESULTS ARE IN⭐️

I’ve been smoking myself 3 times a week. I conduct physical training 5 times a week at 0530 and I go light (#isham) but they 🔑 factor in the physical training is the nutrition and the post recovery. I even have a hamstring, groin, and meniscus strain but of how I train. Flexibility and strength training are essential but I workout like a super saiyan, if I’m not in a hyperbolic time chamber, I’m in the green and blue outdoors in the grass somewhere (right outside). Secret, I don’t know how much I weigh, and I don’t care. I FEEL more energetic and when I look in he mirror after I get out the shower I feel like #cubanpete or #themask. (I did the whole dance scenario off camera). Being able to control my weight and have reward meals on the weekend while STILL taking my product is like a cheat code. #konami even. #upupdowndownleftrightleftrightbastart All in all, I wake up HEALTHY. I wake up WITH ENERGY. I sit in long, boring classes all day learning about fuel, military vehicles, aviation, and other semi-cool stuff like that and all the young people (18-24) fall asleep in class. Not the 33 year old prodigious king, if I do think I’m getting daydreamy, I pop a total control and tag it with a garden 7, or I much on raw almonds. If I’m really feeling 🐸 I take a lift-off to the face (some ain’t about that life). At any rate, on the left I was heavily transitioning in life (stress, homeless, newlywed, new city etc…) life events can be stressful as hell. BUT I KEPT GOD FIRST. I’m climbing back up the ladder I fell off because of a couple slips. I GOT GLOVES ON NOW! With STICK-EM! MWAH HA HA #RESULTS #herbalife #starteam #funkyfresh

With Charleen undergoing a vampire storyline, it has me thinking about unplanned moments in the legacy that have influenced the story in big and/or unexpected ways the way Charleen’s bite is.

VAMPIRE CHARLEEN
Believe it or not, I hadn’t planned on turning Charleen into a vampire. I originally didn’t even plan to include vampires in the legacy. Leo Wolfe, the only introduced owner of The Red Velvet, turned out to be a vampire. I wasn’t going to capitalize on it or point it out, but the two of them became friends enough that I got a prompt from him. He asked her over because he needed to ask her something. This wasn’t something I had gotten in my game yet so I had her go, and when he made the offer I decided to go with it! Why not?

MADELINE’S ENEMIES
Madeline’s development into the rough-and-tumble tomboy she became was a result of a day out at a park and her somehow making three enemies of two kids and a teenager autonomously. Before that day was out she got into a fight with one of the kids- and lost. Those same two kids would come by the house and pick on Madeline, and then they’d end up picking on Ariel, too. Thus began Madeline’s development and her and Ariel’s side story.

THE DISHMAN BROTHERS
Clayton getting turned down by Beckham, Kody becoming enemies with Beckham, and Wren making friends with Craig were all autonomous and the latter two largely happened without my help. I had initially hoped for Clayton and Beckham to work, but it’s just as well that out didn’t. These three events ultimately made Wren’s storyline what it was, including having all three triplets add possible romance options. I let the gameplay ultimately determine who Wren ended up with, which was who she got on better with. (Of course it had to be the guy who turned down one brother and made an enemy of another, right?)

KENDRA’ S ALIEN ABDUCTION
When Kendra was abducted by aliens and ended up pregnant right after. I had a mod at the time for female alien pregnancy so assumed that was it. The risky woohoo mod didn’t occur to me until human Wren was born. By that point, however, I’d already posted story with Kendra having an alien pregnancy BECAUSE of the abduction. I was committed, so I cheated to make her alien when she became a child. Of course this alien baby ended up being heir!

PAOLO AND EVA
Originally Eva was Kendra’s intended love interest. Then Paolo went and swept her off her feet. I wad just letting her do het thing at the club, and next thing I knew they were heeding to the closet for woohoo! That’s the real reason there were no real pictures taken of them prior to their closet romp. Since they had a natural chemistry (obviously) I moved forward with Paolo as the love interest instead of Eva. She never got the hint, however, thus naturally creating the conflict that occurred later.

Turkish opposition says appealing referendum on Erdogan powers

ANKARA, April 21 (Reuters) - Turkey’s main opposition CHP party said on Friday it was making a court appeal against the decision by the High Electoral Board (YSK) to accept unstamped ballots in the tightly contested referendum granting President Tayyip Erdogan wide new powers.
“We are filing an appeal to the council of state today demanding the cancellation of the YSK decision to accept unstamped ballots,” CHP Deputy Chairman Bulent Tezcan said in a statement.
Turkey’s council of state is the high judicial body handling all complaints and appeals against state and public institutions. The CHP and a pro-Kurdish opposition party had pledged to take legal action against what they said were irregularities in Sunday’s referendum.
Tezcan also said the CHP would demand that the official results of the referendum be postponed until the case is resolved. The YSK had said on Sunday it would announce final results 11-12 days after the vote. (Reporting by Gulsen Solaker and Tuvan Gumrukcu; Editing by Dominic Evans)

Hedge funds lose on UK election shock, but man less than machines

By Maiya Keidan and Jemima Kelly

LONDON (Reuters) - Hedge funds lost out on Tuesday after British Prime Minister Theresa May shocked markets by calling a snap election, but those led by humans outsmarted those led by machines, in a reversal of fortunes from the Brexit referendum.

While computer-driven hedge funds garnered plaudits for their outperformance in the wake of Britain’s shock vote to leave the European Union last year, this year’s first major test resulted in big losses.

Among the most high-profile losers was Connecticut-based investment firm AQR Capital Management’s $13.3 billion computer-driven Managed Futures Strategy, which lost 1.1 percent on Tuesday, according to an investor who was told by the hedge fund, representing a loss of more than $130 million.

The same strategy made 5.2 percent on the day the results of Britain’s EU referendum were revealed in June.

“The announcement of the general election was a turnaround for markets, leading to a trend reversal across UK assets, which hurts computer-driven hedge funds most,” said Philippe Ferreira, head of hedge funds research at Lyxor Asset Management.

Most of the hedge fund strategies run by machines that lost out from these moves did so because their algorithms simply follow market momentum. A break in the trends that those algorithms have spotted, therefore, tends to hurt them.

Tuesday’s surprise announcement sent sterling soaring to a six-month high above $1.29 with the currency jumping above its 200-day moving average and breaking the trading range of between $1.20 and $1.28 that had been in place since early October.

And Britain’s FTSE 100 stock index, which tends to move inversely to the pound, suffered its heftiest falls since the days following the Brexit vote, having hit record highs just last month.

Other computer-driven - or “quant” - hedge funds to lose out included Candriam Alternative Systematic, which lost 0.9 percent on Tuesday, with the steep fall in the FTSE penalizing its positions, according to a spokesman at the firm. Harmonic Capital was also marginally negative on the day, it said.

Two other hedge funds run by machines, which the investor declined to name, lost 2.8 percent and 1.9 percent.

MACHINES “DON’T GET EMOTIONAL”

Some computer-driven funds put on additional short positions in response to the news that there was set to be an announcement from the prime minister, amid speculation the news was set to be negative, such as that she was suffering from ill health.

“That element of uncertainty creates a sell signal - that might explain why (the computer-driven funds) didn’t do as well as the macro guys,” said Mizuho’s head of hedge fund currency sales in London, Neil Jones.

Computer-driven funds tend to mainly tracks general trends while human traders anticipate and react to macroeconomic events in the case of discretionary macro managers.

“The macro people are much more likely to wait to see what the announcement is, analyze that, and then make a trading decision.”

Human-led macro hedge funds, which mainly carry out bets through currencies and bonds, lost out but to a lesser degree on Tuesday.

“On performance of macro versus quant…discretionary macros were burned earlier this year so reduced risk, while quants tend to be always in the market – machines target risk and don’t get emotional,” said Cedric Fontanille, director at Unigestion.

Hugh Hendry’s Eclectica Asset Management lost 0.1 percent in its CF Eclectica Absolute Macro Fund for example, confirmed a spokesman at the firm, though he said the fund was not betting on sterling and had little direct exposure to the UK.

Goldman Sachs Global Strategic Macro Bond Portfolio lost 0.1 percent and the 21.6 billion euro ($23.15 billion) Carmignac Patrimoine fund lost 0.3 percent, said sources.

Some macro funds even made marginal gains on Tuesday, like Legg Mason Global Funds’ Western Asset Macro Opportunities Fund, which made 0.3 percent, and 25 billion pound ($32.01 billion) Standard Life’s Global Absolute Return Strategies Fund, which made 0.2 percent.

Macro hedge fund demand remains very strong, with the strategy taking in its largest monthly inflows since January 2010 in March, according to a report from industry tracker eVestment.
