14) “I come to the library every day to ‘study’ but really I’m just watching Netflix over your shoulder and I’m really invested in this series and the day we’re supposed to be watching the season finale you’re not there and I??? Feel personally betrayed??”
Lucy sat down at her desk, flipped open her 17th-century literature notes, sat her triple shot extra vanilla caramel macchiato on the table, her textbook beside her, and finally looked up.
He wasn’t there.
Where the hell was he?
It was 5:30, Lucy was settled into her spot at the last table between Row Ba and Bu, and yet the table in front of her was glaring empty.
How the fuck was she going to find out how this season of White Collar ended?
Honestly, it wasn’t even Lucy’s fault she was addicted to that show. She had been sitting innocently in the library two weeks ago when she noticed the guy in front of her, not studying. Even if Lucy hadn’t done a double take on his neon pink hair and double bars in his left ear she would have noticed his screen playing the show just in front of him. It’s not like Lucy had been staring at him, it’s just that she had to look past him to watch his stupid laptop.
Look, Lucy couldn’t afford Netflix and she wasn’t about to risk her own laptop going on one of those shady sites just so she could find out if Niel managed to pull the scam or if he’d stay on the good side with the agent.
But God did she want to find out. Lucy looked down, worrying her lip. She probably could study like she had meant to every time she came here, but after the let down of mystery-boy not showing up Lucy just didn’t have the energy to do it. Dejected, she packed up her notes and textbook, putting in her headphones as she headed to the doors.
Lucy was halfway back to her dorm when something hard slammed into her shoulder, sending her sprawling on her ass in the grass beside the sidewalk. She rubbed her back, scowling at the boy who had caused her fall. He sat across from her, also having fallen from the collision. Her drink coated the pavement beside, thankfully missing her clothes.
The boy however, was not so lucky with his own drink.
“Aw, fuck,” he complained, arms cast to the side as he tried to keep himself from touching the red stain the was dripping down his front. And making his tank top cling to his defined muscles. Damn. It was like one of those meet cutes she read online.
Lucy’s bad mood was starting to ebb away until she looked at his face. It was a very good face, but Lucy’s attention was stolen from looking at it more closely by the bright pink colour of his hair. And the piercings in his ear, two bars on the left and smaller plugs in his lobes. And another two in his lip and eyebrow.
Lucy pointed her finger at him, clambering onto her knees. The boy blinked at her in confusion, bright eyes green and wide as his gaze flicked between her finger and her face.
“Uh, do I know you?” he asked, lips thinning when Lucy huffed.
“You weren’t in the library! Where were you? I waited for like ten minutes to watch the stupid season finale and you never showed up!” She said hotly. Lucy pouted when the boy started to laugh.
“You’re the weirdo who always watches my laptop with me!”
“Uh,” Lucy mumbled, flushing harder.
“Was wondering if you’d just stop eventually,” he grinned at her, no malice and a light teasing dancing in his forest green colouring.
“Well then why did you have the subtitles on?” Lucy asked hotly. Honestly, if he had noticed and thought she was weird then why wouldn’t he have just turned them off?
The boy gave her a knowing grin before moving his hands. Realization dawned on Lucy and she felt heat creep up her neck in shame.
“Oh my God he’s deaf,” she whispered to himself.
“And his name is Natsu,” the boy grinned at her, laughing at Lucy jolting and her high squeak. “I can read lips, Weirdo.” Lucy covered her mouth, stopping herself from saying anything else that might offend Natsu. They sat in silence, Lucy worrying her lip. She stood up finally, gathering her bag and offering her hand to Natsu. He gave her an odd look, taking it anyway and smiling at her easily when she helped him up.
“I have a laundry machine in my dorm,” she said slowly, looking at his lip ring pointedly.
“Ya don’t have to,” Natsu started, shocked at her offer. Lucy shrugged, blushing as she realized they were still holding hands.
“Its my fault you spilled your drink all over yourself,” Lucy mumbled, blushing when she realized that Natsu probably couldn’t understand her. She shrugged anyway, pulling Natsu with her. Why’d he have to be so cute though? Ugh, Lucy just wanted to bury herself in her blankets and sleep for a week.
“You know I didn’t hate sharing my laptop with ya. Thought it was a little weird, but I mean look at me. Deaf punk college chem student. I ain’t exactly gonna judge ya for it.” Natsu shrugged, giving her another easy smile. Lucy smiled back, watching the concrete in front of them for a couple seconds. Steeling herself, she tapped on his arm, turning to face him but still only looking at his lip ring. It was silver with a red jewel in the middle, and Lucy thought it stood out nicely against his skin.
“I don’t think you’re weird.” She said, picking up the pace as she pulled Natsu along behind her.
“You don’t even know me yet! What’s your name anyway, Weirdo?”
Lucy pouted at the reoccurring nickname. “It’s Lucy,” She grumbled.
“Lushi?” Natsu sounded out.
“No,” Lucy said, meeting Natsu’s eyes. “Lu-see.” She over-pronounced it, trying her best to make it easier for Natsu to understand.
“Lu-shi,” Natsu sang, slinging his arm over her shoulder. Lucy scoffed as she realized he was making fun of her, elbowing him in the side. She was vindicated when he grunted, his sniggers cut off as she caught his kidney. “So violent,” he mumbled, and Lucy looked at him as she worked out if he had meant for her to hear or not. Deciding he hadn’t meant to speak out loud she let it go, fishing for her key in her bag.
“Uh,” Natsu said, Lucy looking up at him as he scratched the side of his face awkwardly. “We can finish watching White Collar while my shirt’s in the wash?” Natsu offered. Lucy smiled, nodding slightly as she bit her lip to stop it from getting too large. “Cool,” Natsu said, a little loudly. Lucy giggled, ducking her head. Looks like Lucy might be getting her meet-cute anyway.

Extended Imagine Requested by Anon: Can you do an imagine where Jared is at the studio working hard but in a bad mood and is driving everyone crazy and they’re basically walking on eggshells trying not to get him mad and then the reader just shows up to say hi, and when she comes Jared’s mood instantly changes and he’s super sweet and cuddly and the crew tell the reader to come more often 😜
They had been working on the new album for 4 years
now, and just as they thought they were finished, things turned around and they
needed to record two new songs. By now everybody was stressed and exhausted,
trying to get the album done in time for the set release date.
Jared was starting to get frustrated. No matter how he recorded the new section
of the song, it just didn’t sound right. His bad mood spread around in the
studio. He was starting to criticize everything and everyone, driving them all
crazy. But they knew better than to argue with him about it. Jared was a
perfectionist and when things didn’t go his way; let’s just say it was no good
for anyone involved. Not even Tomo and Shannon dared to get on the wrong side
of Jared today, it was as if everyone was walking on eggshells, careful not to
set him off.
You had just finished up at work, and thought about visiting your boyfriend in
the studio. He had been working his ass off for ages, trying to piece his new
record together. You got into a cab, and half an hour later you were standing
at the entrance to the studio, ringing the bell. “Y/N? Hey, what are you doing
here?” Tomo greeted you, who had come to answer the door. “Hi.”, you said
smiling, “I just got off work and thought I’d stop by to say hi.” Relief spread
on Tomo’s face, making you slightly confused, but you didn’t mention it. “Well,
come on in then. Jared is in the back, in the recording booth.” “Thanks.”
You walked through the studio, finding your way to the recording booth. Instead
of going in, you decide to take a seat, and just listen to Jared. After a few
minutes you turn to Shannon, who had joined you a few seconds before. “I
thought you guys wanted to start on the second song today?” Shannon sighed, “We
did, yeah but for some reason, the first one isn’t quite turning out the way
we, and by ‘we’ I mean mostly Jared, wants it to.” “Maybe you just all need a
break.”, you suggested, finally making yourself known to Jared. You push to
button of the intercom, “Hey J, want to stop for a minute, and come say hi to
your lovely girlfriend.”, you say grinning. His head immediately turns to face
you, and he smiles. For the first time, today. He takes of his headphones, and
leaves the booth. “Hey babe, what are you doing here?”, he asks, engulfing you
in a hug. You wrap your arms around his waist, “Just wanted to say hi. So, hi.”
Jared chuckled, “Hi.” He lets you go and kisses you softly. “You know, I was
just saying to Shannon, how you all could maybe use a break. What do you say?”
He lets out a relieved sigh, “I think you’re right. Come on.” Jared takes your
hand and leads you into the lounge area, where a couple of the crew members
have already assembled, taking a well-deserved break. Everyone’s attention is
directly on you two. They all remain quiet for a moment, slightly stunned to
see Jared smiling, and behaving like he has no care in the world. “Hey
everyone:”, you greet them all. “Hi Y/N.”, say quite a few of them back.
pulls you towards a couch and sits you both down. He moves you closer to him,
and gives you another kiss. “I missed you.”, he whispers against your lips,
making you blush lightly. “Missed you, too.” “How was your day at work?”, Jared
asks, sounding genuinely interested. After the day he had, he couldn’t wait to
talk about something else other than his album for a change. “Pretty good
actually. You know Sarah, right?”, Jared nods, “Well, guess what: she’s
pregnant. And she asked me to throw her a baby-shower.”, you tell him
excitedly. He laughs, “That’s great.” “Yup, I already have everything planned
in my mind.” Jared looks at you in awe, he still can’t believe how lucky he is
to have you. No matter how shit his day was, you could always cheer him up,
even just by being with him, and generally radiating happiness. “J?” “Hmm?”, he
snaps out of his thoughts. You chuckle, “I asked if you were coming with me to
the party.” “Of course, love.” You give him a kiss on the cheek, “Thank you.”,
and rest your head against his chest.
A little while later, you move to get up.
“Where are you going?”, Jared takes a hold of your hand, not wanting you to
leave. “Home, I still have to tidy up and stuff, before the girls come over
tomorrow.” Jared pouts, “I don’t want you to go yet.” You smile, “Jared, we
live together, and I’ll see you again, later today.” Jared sighs and gets up,
too. “Yeah, I know.” He still doesn’t seem to happy. “Okay, fine. I have an
idea. Maybe you should call it a day. I think everyone here could use an early
night, for once. You all have been working really hard lately, and I believe it’ll
do you all some good. You know, take a step back and then start fresh tomorrow.” The crew starts smiling, already hoping that Jared will agree. Jared runs his
hand through his hair, considering what you said. “Fine, you’re right.” He addresses
the crew, “Okay everyone, we’re done for today. Thank you all for the hard
work, and I’ll see you tomorrow.” Everyone starts cheering, making both you and
Jared laugh. “Alright, let’s get out of here.”, Jared says to you and you make
your way to the exit. “Wait, I forgot my bag back at the recording booth.”
Jared shakes his head, chuckling, “Go, I’ll get the car.”
Quickly you walk
back, running into some crew members, who are also getting their stuff, ready
to leave. “Hey Y/N.” “Yes?” “You should really come around more often.” You
laugh, “I’ll try.” “No, seriously. Thank you, I think he and the rest of us,
really need this.” You blush, “Well, I’m glad I could help. And thank you, he
really appreciates you all being here.” They smile back at you, “Of course, see
you soon then.” You nod and wave them goodbye. You quickly grab your bag and
find your way outside, where Jared is already waiting for you in the car. You get
in, and close the door. “Got everything?” “Yup.” He kisses you once more,
before finally starting the car and driving you both home.
Can you do a Peter Parker x Reader where it's kinda smutty but like not really. Ya know cause like that is inappropriate. It like has hickeys and stuff and like the next day at school everyone is like so fricking confused like: "where the heck did that Parker kid get a hickey?" Or something like that. Btw I love your account so much <3 ((you are amazing))
Extended Imagine Requested by Anon: Imagine that you’re at one of Jared’s concerts and he stops in the middle to point you out on the side and is all like “ look how beautiful she is , isn’t she so adorable ” stuff like that making the reader all shy and stuff and the entire time the crowd is in awe ❤️
Shannon and Tomo had just left the stage, meaning Jared was now on his
own with his acoustic guitar. Well, technically you were still there, standing
on the side of the stage, watching Jared in awe. His performance so far had
been amazing, just like Tomo’s and Shannon’s, of course. The crowd was really
enjoying themselves. Everyone was singing along to the songs, as were you.
You had been lost in your thoughts, thinking about how the tour had been so
far, when you suddenly heard Jared mention your name. “Y/N? Yeah, she’s right
over there.” He was pointing in your direction. What? “Hey babe.”, he waved to you, smiling. Everybody was now staring at you, you could feel yourself getting red. You slowly raised your hand and
waved back. “Aww, isn’t she cute. She’s actually quite shy. So, this is great
for her right now.”, Jared said grinning. “Enjoying the show so far, love?” You
could hear the crowd aw-ing and screaming out ‘how cute’ you both were, just
because he called you love. “Love it.”, you call back to him. His eyes light
up, “Good, I’m glad.”, he turns back to the audience,” You know, she basically
has to watch this show almost every day. Would be really bad, if she hated it.
Luckily, she actually likes the music. I’ve been watching, she sings along, too.
Most of the time anyway.”, he winks at you. “It’s really adorable.” You hide
your face in your hands, hoping that he’ll stop, being in the center of
attention wasn’t exactly your favorite position to be in. Jared chuckled, “I’m
sorry, babe, it’s just really cute when you blush. I’ll stop now.” You mouth a
quick ‘thank you’ to him. “Alright, where was I?” The crowd laughs, “Ah yes, I’m
supposed to sing and play, right? Sorry, my beautiful girlfriend is kind of
distracting. Anyway, this next song is called ‘The kill’. You know that one?” “Yeah!”,
the audience screams back. “Raise your hand if you know it.” A lot of hands, shoot up to the sky. “Babe,
why’s your hand not up?”, Jared asks teasingly, making the crowd laugh and aw
again. You shake your head, laughing, and raise your hand up. “Okay then, here
is ‘the kill’.”
Mycroft scowled disdainfully at the newspaper. The headline read once more about how you had escaped from Sherrinford. Police had thought they’d found you, but of course, it was nothing more than a wild goose chase.
Mycroft’s secretary came in, setting the mail on his desk. He flipped through the envelopes, bored.
Until he found the heavy envelope sealed with a wax seal.
“Meredith?” Mycroft called.
“Where did you get this?”
“The box, sir.”
“Are you sure?”
Mycroft’s secretary scowled at him.
“Have you seen anyone outside today? Anyone unusual?”
“No, sir. And if you don’t believe me, check the security cameras.”
Mycroft watched as Meredith huffed away. A few strokes at his keyboard pulled up the security footage. Mycroft scanned and scanned it; no unsavory or unexpected visitors appeared on the tape. The mailbox was touched by no one but the mailman and Meredith. A facial scan of both revealed they were exactly who they appeared to be.
Mycroft picked up the envelope, examining it in every manner possible. Nothing stuck out as odd. There were no tell-tale signs or clues as to where this letter could have come from.
He sliced the envelope open with his letter opener. A single piece of paper fell from it.
To My Dearest Mycroft—
I am terribly sorry about the trouble I’ve no doubt caused you. But you must understand, my job required I return. Your amenities at Sherrinford were wonderful, but the blade called.
You’ve no doubt seen my work. Some of my jobs may have seemed a little rushed, but I was making up for lost time.
I think of you all the time. I miss our afternoons when you would bring me the paper. You were always so wonderful to me. I would like very much to see you again.
Join me at Café Ombre at eleven pm on Sunday. Fear not—I know the owner and he owes me a favor. We will be allowed to dine and will be left alone. And I will make sure he has your favorite chocolate cake freshly made.
Should you feel it necessary to involve law enforcement (or your brother), you will regret that decision. I will know and I will take matters into my own hands.
Until then, my love.
Mycroft read the letter once, twice, three times. He damned his stomach for growling at the thought of chocolate cake.
Mycroft stepped up to the café, his umbrella clicking against the pavement. He’d come alone, stooping so low as to even take public transport for a good portion of the journey, walking the last four blocks alone.
Checking his pocket watch, he saw that it was two til eleven. The street was empty, silent, dark. At the stroke of eleven, the door creaked open behind him.
Mycroft made his way through the darkened building. As his eyes grew used to the dark, he saw a flickering light coming from the kitchen.
You looked up, shadows thrown on your face by the small gas lantern placed upon the table. “You came.”
Mycroft said nothing, simply sitting across from you. A slice of chocolate cake sat before him, glistening in the light of the flame.
“Go ahead,” you said. “It’s safe. Delicious, too.”
“What’s the meaning of this?”
“I told you. I wanted to see you again. I missed you.”
“I don’t suppose you’ll tell me where you’ve been hiding out?”
“Of course not,” you said with a small laugh.
“What about how you broke out of Sherrinford?”
Mycroft sighed. “How many have you already killed?”
“How many have been in the papers?”
You nodded. “They’re missing one.”
Mycroft made note. “How many more are you planning on?”
“As many as I can get to. The world is filled with horrible people, Mycroft. The governing body does what it can with its laws and punishments, but there are still plenty that fall through the cracks.” You leaned forward. “Think of me as… the clean-up crew.”
“Ah, yes, the friendly neighborhood janitorial murderess.” Mycroft paused. “How did you know I would come?”
“I didn’t. I just hoped you would.”
“How do you know I won’t go tell the authorities of this encounter? How do you know I won’t slip a tracker into your coat?”
“Because it would look poorly upon you, meeting up with one of the most wanted criminals. Especially since you didn’t alert the authorities. Or at the very least, your brother.” You stood, stepping towards Mycroft. You leaned down, your lips dangerously close to his ear. “And I’m not wearing a coat.”
Mycroft’s nose was infiltrated with your perfume, a wonderful blend of citrus and spice. His eyes dared to drop for just a moment; when he opened them again, he found himself alone.
Turning, he found he was completely alone. Somehow, in the few seconds he’d closed his eyes, you’d disappeared.
He looked once more at the cake in front of him. A small heart was drawn in white icing on the top of the slice.
Shrugging, Mycroft picked up his fork and slid it into the delicacy.
hello! would it be okay for me to request a reaction for hyungwon, minhyuk and shownu when their best friend opens up to them as a gay? if you're uncomfortable with writing it, it's fine:)) tysm<333
Warning: Involves sexuality. Read at your own risk.
Shownu - Definitely shocked, yes, but he’d like to ask his friend how it came to be and if he was the first person they told their sexuality to. It’s for sure something Shownu would have to get used to, and he might wonder a few things here and there. “I’m glad that you trust me enough to tell me this. I’m happy for you.”
Minhyuk - Takes a moment to think before smiling and nodding. He’d understand and wouldn’t doubt the friendship between the two. Happy for his best friend and wishes the best in finding a mate. “Thank you for telling me this. When did you find out?”
Hyungwon - He’d give a small clap to the back and say that he’s happy for them. He’d also tell them to be proud and give them hope in finding a loved one in the future. It’d be a fun journey! “Just because you’re gay doesn’t give me any second thoughts. I mean, yes I’ll take some time to get used to it, but I’m not against your sexuality.”
