Chicago, Illinois – 23 people were arrested in riots this week, after the Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup Finals, TheFreeThoughtProject reports. Rioters destroyed vehicles, smashed windows and attacked police with little retaliation.
According to the Washington Post, a young child was badly injured in the chaos, and was taken to the hospital when an ambulance could finally make its way through the crowds.
One rioter can even be seen in a photo strangling a police officer, attempting to prevent him from arresting another man who had climbed a traffic light.
News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli told FOX that the crowds were “mostly peaceful” but arguably took part in more property damage than many of the police brutality protests that have taken place all year.
When a crowd riots for some political or philosophical purpose, or to speak out about injustice, there is an immediate media circus in which the people who are participating in the riots are attacked, while the reason for their anger is swept under the rug.
However, when people riot for no reason, like when their favorite sports team wins or loses, the media pays very little attention to these outbursts. If the media does pay any mention to sports riots, they downplay the violence and property damage and describe it as “rowdy” teenagers “acting out” or “celebrating.” Read more and watch video at Mediablackoutusa.com (Link in bio) #Mediablackoutusa
REPOST FROM @subconsciouscelebrity:
“Senior Italian politician Roberto Calderoli who sparked outrage when he compared Italy’s first black minister, Congolese-born Cécile Kyenge to an orang-utan (a specie of apes), claims he is under siege from vengeful African spirits.
He is considering asking the Pope to recommend an exorcist to fight off the curse.
When Calderoli made the racist statement, he issued an apology and refused to resign. In November, he took legal advice after being charged with defamation aggravated by racial discrimination.
The trial, according to The Independent, is ongoing.
Calderoli now believes that Kyenge’s father, who is a tribal leader, has put an African curse – “macumba” on him as punishment for the remark.
Since his “orang-utan” comment, he has had six surgical interventions, the death of his mother, fractured bones and just a week ago, he discovered a 6ft snake in the kitchen of his house.
Last year, Oggi Magazine filmed Kyenge’s 75-year-old father Clement Kikoko Kyenge performing a ceremony in the village of Katanga in Democratic Republic of Congo. Clement allegedly prayed to God for the racist politician to repent.
Calderoli’s photo was placed on an enclosed termite mound during the traditional ceremony. “The photos and the video were unsettling. They put a picture of me in the middle of a termite mound. That is not a friendly message,” said Calderoli to Oggi mag when he saw the video.
He said that after the video, he suffered the health scares and that two friends gave him a lucky charm supposed to possess mystical healing powers but “two days later, it broke in two by itself. A wizard has told me that there are terrible forces acting against me”. Mr Kyenge later spoke to Oggi about Calderoli’s recent incidents.
He replied, “A snake in the house is not a good sign and I’m not sure Calderoli did well to kill it. If when he apologised to Cécile he was sincere, he can feel comfortable. If, however, those excuses were insincere, the ancestors might become angry.””

😔😔😔 I usually abstain from sharing my opinion publically. Especially if I don’t know all the facts. However I can’t imagine what justifications would make one feel better about such a harsh reality. By @wjc03
Standing up for HAITI today. What’s going on in the Dominican Republic is unjust and vile on so many levels. If you don’t know already, the Dominican Republic is delegating the displacement of over 250K Dominican citizens of Haitian decent or features. This includes Dominicans who were actually born in the Dominican Republic, many of whom have no legal documents. Personally, I have lots of Haitian and Dominican friends and can’t believe people are choosing to remain silent and turning a blind eye on this issue like it doesn’t effect mankind. This has ALL to do with race and colorism. Speak up and stand for what’s right!
REPOST FROM @yesallwomen_:
“The friend zone isn’t some tragedy guys experience. It’s when a girl doesn’t want to have a sexual relationship with a guy, and instead, wants to be friends. It’s the girl’s choice; it’s her body. The friend zone is just a bunch of guys who think that women owe them sex. The fact that people like that exist makes me sick to my stomach.
