Man… probably the most mysterious species on our planet. A mystery of unanswered questions. Who are we? Where do we come from? Where are we going? How do we know what we think we know? Why do we believe anything at all? Countless questions in search of an answer… an answer that will give rise to a new question… and the next answer will give rise to the next question and so on. But, in the end, isn’t it always the same question? And always the same answer?

Movies I’ve watched more than 20 times (that no-one asked for)
I am a total movie whore, my dvd collection is ridiculously big even after getting rid of plenty of movies that I’ve only ever watched once. There are some movies however that I could watch over and over no matter how many times I’ve watched it.
#1 - 10 Things I Hate About You My best friend from uni, and I can recite this movie word for word.”You Suck” “You Suck”
#2 - Clueless - came out when I was a teenager so what else is there to say? “Whatever!”
#3 - The Holiday - not normally a rom-com girl but for some reason I love this movie and can happily watch it all year round
#4 - The Matrix - I randomly watched the first one a couple of years after it was released and I got hooked. 2&3 came out when I was at uni so these movies just remind me of the good times from uni
#5 - Captain America (all of them plus Avengers movies but this one’s my fave)
#6 - Empire Records - Damn the Man! Save the Empire!
#7 - Singin In The Rain - What’s not to love about this?
#8 - Lola Rennt (Run Lola Run) - Saw this on a college trip and loved it. One of a few foreign language films I enjoy.
#9 - The Wizard of Oz - I can never tire of watching this movie. If I had to pick an ultimate all time favourite movie, this would be it!!
#10 - Stargate - think this movie is the reason I have a degree in Archaeology and Egyptology and the reason I’m currently doing a Masters degree in Egyptology. Saw this twice in the cinema when it was released and it just stuck with me. Don’t know why but for some reason it totally caught my interest and it put me on the path I’m on today. Don’t think a movie has had more impact on my life than this has.
There are many many more that I’ve watched more than 20 times (The Mummy, Little Mermaid, Lion King, Hercules, Center Stage, Coyote Ugly to name some) but these would be some of my ultimate movies. I have the weirdest collection of films, true this often stems from a fascination with a particular actor at that time but also stems from doing Film Studies at ALevel and as a minor during first year uni. When you’re watching someone have sex with a leg scar or a full frontal scene at 9am, nothing shocks you anymore with movies.
