reminds me of an elephant

Betting On It

Pairing: Kim Taehyung x Reader

Genre: Fluff

Words: 2.5k

A/N: so this was originally posted on a tumblr i shared with my friends (we no longer use it) but i really love the idea of it so i fixed it up a bit!

“Let’s make a bet.” You glance up at your best friend across the table. He has an evil glint in his eye, a sign telling you not to go with it but your curiosity gets the better of you.

“What bet?” You tread cautiously.

“Let’s go out on Valentine’s Day and see how many people mistaken us as a couple.”

My boyfriend got me this elephant necklace because I told him I dislike elephants on jewelry (he’s extremely ironic) and he calls me his ‘elephant’ whenever I wear it (to remind me how hilarious he is)
So today we were in a dessert parlour and I come back with napkins and he goes “there’s my little elephant” and I hEAR A GASP FROM THE TABLE BESIDE US AND THESE TWO YOUNG LADIES ARE LOOKING AT ME AS IF THEY HE INSULTED MY ANCESTORS AND WERE WAITING FOR ME TO SMACK HIM IN THE FACE. And now he’s too afraid to call me his little elephant in public.

Elephants really remind me of Taureans. They emanate a gentle majesty, the eyes of wisdom that you so easily lose yourself in. They move slowly yet powerfully and with endurance, they are spectacular to watch in movement, the grace of Venus is a cosmic dance if you watch Taurus closely.
All of the senses are sweetly stimulated and yet soothed, the playful elephant swimming in the water reminds me of the Taurus who delights in joy and pleasure, who feels at one with nature, who lives in a universe devised of their own time frame,
a sanctuary where the rush of the world melts away under the sunlight

Stu or Wilbur if ur still doing names? Either is fine :0c

stu reminds me of 4 am chocolate pudding, silly and fun fashion like bad 70′s/80′s clothes, the color blue and 2D
Wilbur is such a sweet name…, reminds me of sad sam and honey and elephants and charlottes web

十三人連続暴行魔 (Wakamatsu Koji, 1978)

i don’t want to say the title because it’s going to cast badly on me. even though i’ve proven myself a schmuck here before so many times. i’ve got to clear house of these things because my life is going to one of cohabitation again soon (yay). anyway this is so good. no reason, no emotion, just process. reminds me that i have to finish those alan clarke movies and get to elephant. allusions to the narita airport situation. where oshima used american jets to signify anpo, here the flying planes are homegrown, as is this guy’s torment. not to excuse his behaviour. and the music! abe kaoru two months before he died.

Hi! I saw you say that on average day you study on average 4hours. Do you have any study tips? Thank you so much and I hope you have a lovely day! Xx

I’m a type A studier, so take my tips with a grain of salt 🙊

use a planner! I personally prefer paper planners, so my Erin Condren Life Planner is my best bud. I used to have the horizontal layout, but I went vertical this time and like it even more! If you’re like me and tend to have 15,987 thoughts racing through your head at any given time, then I think you would benefit from writing it all down. It helps clear your mind, and makes you feel so much more productive when you can actually see how much you have accomplished. Otherwise you’re going based on feeling, and if you’re stressed, your feelings will hardcore betray you.
ONE THING AT A TIME. My dad always reminds me that you eat an elephant “one bite at a time”; if you take things weeks or months at a time, you will feel hopeless. Work one assignment at a time, one exam at a time, one lecture at a time. If you’re like me and feel obligated to bring everything you own to the library, stop yourself and bring that one thing you want to get done. That way, you are forcing yourself to focus only on what you have in front of you.
study a little bit each day! Ain’t nobody got time for cramming the night before.
make sure your end goal is learning, and not getting the A! If you don’t get the A, but you know you gave it your all, you will feel much better about yourself.
ask questions early! Nip the confusion right in the bud.
form study groups! Spend time reviewing the material on your own, and then discuss with a friend! It will expose where the gaps in your knowledge are if you are unable to articulate a concept to a classmate.
use the textbook as a resource. Do NOT be me and read every word for fear of missing a question on an exam. PLEASE, for the love of squirrels do not be me.
know your limits. Do not sit your butt down for 8 hours straight and expect to be productive the whole time. If you aren’t focusing, it’s cause your brain is exhausted – listen to what your body is telling you!
figure out how you learn best! I’m a visual learner, so colors and pictures help a ton. Especially for pathophysiology! I’m also a kinesthetic learner, so it helps to do things and not just observe them being done!
cute stationary, cause cute stationary just makes everything better ✨🎉

I hope this helps :)

Episode 27B: Momma's Little Ed

Today’s title refers to the phrase “Momma’s Little Boy/Girl/Baby/etc.” It’s about Ed and Eddy forging sticky notes from Edd’s parents as a prank.  This episode doesn’t have the emotional depth of the other season 3 premiere, ‘Wish You Were Ed’, and its cruel premise may impair the comedy for some, but it’s still a perfect example of this season’s interest in building stories off of the show’s world rather than scams.  More than any other season, we will see tons of plots centered around previously minor elements– so far we’ve seen an episode about Rolf’s country, now one about Edd’s sticky notes, and later on this season will give us the only stories that take advantage of Eddy’s brother as an off-screen character before the movie.

This title card reminds me of ‘Rock-a-Bye Ed’, another season 3 episode that deepens the show’s lore.

OH SWEET LUCIFER BENEATH US

You know when tvshows make up cartoons in-universe for preschoolers and intentionally make it as obnoxious and mindless as possible.

Thats this but come to life.

Coming Home: Xiumin

Hello! Here’s what you can listen to :))

This will be the last instalment for the Coming Home series. We’re glad you all enjoyed it! :))

Sneaking in for the few minutes he has, Minseok finds her, head down on the dining table with a mug half-filled with coffee in the grip of her hand. He reminds himself he can’t stay, so he prays the little bits and pieces of items from all places of the tour are enough for now. “This reminded me so much of you while we were in Thailand!” “This made me think of you while we were in Japan.” -he rambles on. Looking back and sending her one last smile, he knows that when she wakes she may not find him, but she’ll always find the traces he leaves behind.

Today in drawing class I complimented my classmate’s drawing of an elephant by saying “I like the elephant. it reminds me of my grandpa.” in a very affectionate tone. Only my teacher laughed. I don’t know why I said it except that I do. the elephant really reminded me of my grandpa. It had his exact chin. I wasn’t wrong. I was only telling the truth
