relatives i hate come to stay

anonymous asked:

do you have any of your own sam headcanons that are more in the tone of his character?

i’ve never really been one for making headcanons myself, i’ve never written them for anyone, not even sully. i prefer other people’s sully headcanons.

i just know that some of the ones i’ve seen for sam have been so insanely out of character.

i found a list so i’ll do my best to work from that and give this a good old try.

feel free to disagree as these are my opinions. im not gonna hate on you for thinking im wrong.

this is my official: “i don’t hate sam drake” post. kay? kay.

Happy Thanksgiving, Sam

Sammy imagine where you and him aren’t official quite yet but he protects and stands up for you when your ex is harassing you and he comforts you and is a cutie :)

Sammy imagine where you and him visit his family for thanksgiving

“(Y/N)! Are you home?” Sam’s voice echoes through our home, and I walk to the front door.

“Come on, pack your bags. It’s time for you to meet my family. Besides Ben and Emily.” He grabs my arm, pulling me toward our room.

“Come on Sam! You promised we’d stay home for thanksgiving, you know I hate flying.” I groan, sitting on the bed. Sam pulling out a suitcase that seemed relatively full.

“Come on babe! I’ll be there with you the whole time.” I groan again and get up, swiftly but carefully packing.

Remind me to never travel with Sam again.

I lost him on my way to terminal, and we lost our seats to a family of four. That meant we had nowhere to sit, where we’d be together. But we were able to convince an arguing couple to give up their seats, solving that problem.

The plane ride was worse, if possible. We had extreme turbulence, and it was storming outside, which meant thunder could’ve struck this plane at any moment. It did, and we dropped 40 feet out of the air. I literally screamed at the top of my lungs and cried my eyes out and it took Sam a lot to calm me down.

“Sam..” I fume once we’re walking to the door step of his old home. It was pouring when we got to Omaha, the clothes we originally packed becoming useless.

“Babe, I didn’t know it was gonna rain.” I didn’t notice him ring the door bell, so when I was swinging at his arm, his older sister Annie opened the door.

“Sammy!” She squeals, engulfing her brother in a hug, only to quickly draw back from the wetness of his clothes.

“Why are-” she starts, but quickly pulls the two of us in. “Sam, you are the worst boyfriend ever.” I whisper, punching him in the arm.

“Trouble in paradise?” I hear Sam’s mom come out of the kitchen.

“An understatement, Mom.” He added.

“Well, we have some towels upstairs and you guys can come down for introductions when you’re ready.”

“We’ll be down soon Mrs. Wilkinson.” I quickly retreat up the stairs, Sam following suit.

“Ma, I didn’t know that was going to happen.” He whispers once we close the door to his old room.

“Just, leave me be for a minute. Please?” I ask, feeling a towel being draped over my shoulders.

“Look, I know you’re really shaken up by the plane ride. And I promise I won’t make you go through that again. But let’s forget about that, it’s over and we’re safe.” He kisses my cheek. “Come on, let’s go say hi to my family.” I look up and smile, taking his hand and he leads me downstairs.

“Ahh, the happy couple has returned.” Emily comes to give me a hug, followed by Ben.

“It’s still early, why don’t you guys go out and show (Y/N) around Omaha?” Sam’s mom suggests, and Emily nods.

“Maybe it’s best the two of you change out of the wet, sticky clothes and wait till the rain stops.” Ben suggested, and Sam drags me back upstairs.

“Save water, shower together?” Sam raises his eyebrows and we shower together, getting dressed and heading back downstairs to be met with a face I remember all too well.

“Ohh, look who it is! Sam, I didn’t know you liked leftovers.” Xavier calls, and I immediately retreat back upstairs. I don’t have the heart to face him, besides I know Sam will take care of it.

“Get out!” Sam’s voice startles me, and I peek outside the door to see what’s happening.

“She’s so easy man! I thought you enjoyed challenge, a chase. (Y/N)? Man she’s so easy I can have her shaking without even speaking.” That was all I let myself hear before slamming the door shut and falling face down on the bed.

“Xavier! Leave!” I hear a door slam and Sam’s heavy footsteps nearing the door.

“Ma? You alright?” He knocks softly.

“Could be better.” I don’t cry, I’m not that weak and Sam opens the door, slowly pressing his body onto me.

“(Y/N), you’re not easy. Trust me, he was just trying to get under my skin.”

“I know Sam.” I breathe out, pushing him off of me and kissing his cheek.

“I love you.”

“I love you too.”

“Let’s just stay up here, I’m sure mom wouldn’t mind. I think you’ve had enough for the day.” Sam nuzzles his face into my neck, latching onto me.

Minty Fic Week - Pool Party AU

I’m pretty sure I’m late with this, but I figured I’d finish it anyways!

Clarke sauntered in, her face screwed in an expression that screamed to anyone within five feet to stay away from her. Miller, however, was the exception, seeing as how he was her destination.

Miller flashed a wry grin. “I’d hate to be the person who pissed you off.”

Clarke rested her elbows on the counter, burying her face in her hands. Blonde, wavy hair fell forward and she pushed it back with a huff of annoyance. “The person is my mother.”
