OU Daily: Norman PFLAG chapter to hold regional training conference on LGBTQ rights, issues

The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 30 at St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church, 1801 West Brooks, Norman.

OU Professor Emeritus George Henderson will deliver the keynote, “LGBT Rights are Civil Rights.”

FBI agent Tony Orefice will discuss hate crimes and federal legislation designed to combat hate crimes.

Admission/registration is $10 for students, $20 general admission. For more information, here’s the conference brochure (.pdf).

So, the Key Club meeting today was cancelled.

And whoever posted on Degroff’s door the sign up sheets and whatnot….

IT’S NOT ROTC, YOU IDIOT, IT’S RTC

ROTC is some MILITARY program. And the person even wrote in parenthesis “Regional Training Conference."

Please, someone tell me how you get ROTC from Regional Training Conference

I mean, I’m sure the person who posted it is one of my friends, and probably an officer, which really makes me want to shoot somebody, because I don’t understand. And this makes me angry, because I should have obviously won the elections last year and I obviously deserve it more but NO, they had to rig the damn election. I’m more educated about Key Club than the entire board -__-

I’ve been to every educational Key Club Event: DCM’s, OTC, DTC, RTC, CTC, DCON
And I bet they don’t even know what every acronym means.

And the most annoying part of this whole thing is that they cancelled the damn meeting. I get that our prez had SATs to study for, but our VP and Treasurer chose not to do it, but at the very least, they could have had me run it. I was on the board last year and I’m the most educated person about Key Club in our entire school not counting our LTG. RIDICULOUS!
