regard 9

maniacani  asked:

Does Keith open up to the others (the paladins and allura) some more in the PJO au? I bet he clicks with all of them differently-sparring with lance, strategy talk with Allura, fixing things/helping pidge and hunk etc? and Shiro finds that endearing to no end (Hades does too "my son has friends!!!")

[Voltron PJO AU] Ever since Shiro and Keith “sort of” announced to the whole camp that they were finally together, Shiro had noticed little changes from Keith. Aside from being more affectionate towards him (cuddles increased by 500% which Shiro wasn’t complaining about), and the sweet little kiss they shared once in a while, Shiro noticed that Keith had been more tolerable towards other demigods and that he actually didn’t just walk away and leave them whenever they wanted to talk to him.

First was Pidge and Hunk. Shiro was invited by them to Bunker 9 in regards to something they have created that might be helpful around camp. Obviously that meant Keith would tag along. Bunker 9 was a hidden workshop for the Hephaestus Cabin and it was huge. They only gained access because of Hunk’s fire abilities to which Keith commented “That’s pretty cool.” It made the son of Hephaestus beam brightly like the sun.

So Pidge was discussing about their new creation and Hunk saying something seemed off that they couldn’t put their finger on. Shiro thought about it for a moment to help his friends but couldn’t come up with anything. The room was silent and everyone could hear each other’s brains ticking. It was broken off when Keith spoke.

Keith had his hand under his chin as he roamed around the contraption Hunk and Pidge built. He was spouting this and that, things that even Shiro couldn’t even grasp. Keith spoke for about 10 minutes, giving his suggestions and comments while the three of them just gape at him.

“What?” Keith asked as he saw them staring at him.

“Keith, I love you!” Pidge cried out as she threw herself at Keith and kissed him loudly on the cheek, which caused Shiro to smile so wide.

“Dude, that’s brilliant. If we just connect this to that then BOOM. It’ll work so perfectly!” Hunk laughed. “Oh gods, I love you, man.” Then he proceeded to join the hug. “You should hang out with us here at Bunker 9 more often.”

Second was Allura. It was during battle strategy meeting and Shiro, Pidge, Keith and Coran were present. Allura was discussing what they ought to do when Keith interrupted her.

“That’s total suicide, Allura,” Keith said.

“Excuse me?” Allura asked, eyebrow raised, clearly offended.

“If you place the most of the children of Apollo there, they wouldn’t stand a chance even if they had amazing archery skills. They would be slaughtered in mere minutes because you have to spread out the healers.”

Allura shifted her weight and crossed her arms. “So what do you suggest we do then?”

Keith looked at her straight in the eye, “I’ll go with the children of Apollo.”

“Keith, that’s—” Shiro objected loudly. He wasn’t liking it.

“Shiro,” Keith turned his head towards his boyfriend. “They need a Big Three with them and with you and Lance in your own positions, I’ll be the only one who could shadow travel and be anywhere quickly. Time is our enemy here.” Keith returned his attention to Allura and added with determination. “Place me with the archers.”

Allura smiled at Keith and nodded. “Alright.”

Last was Lance. It wasn’t a secret that they have this weird I-hate-your-guts feeling towards each other. It must be because Lance was the son of Poseidon and Keith was the son of Hades, it would only be natural that they were antagonistic towards each other because of their heritage. So their rivalry was born. Trying to one-up each other, though Shiro felt that it was very one-sided, but that didn’t stop Lance. However, Lance mellowed down ever since he saw Keith appear at the dining pavilion holding Shiro’s bloody body, crying

One time Shiro was walking past the arena and the two boys were sparring and Lance somewhat landed a hit on Keith’s shoulder with his sword, that caused him to fall out of balance on the ground, bleeding nonstop. Shiro was about to help when Lance pounced towards his boyfriend quickly.

Lance panicked. “Oh gods, Keith!” The son of Poseidon tugged Keith’s shirt as quickly as he could and brought his hands with a ball of water surrounding it and began healing Keith’s injury.

“Dude, you could do that?” Keith asked, bewildered.

“Yeah, I discovered it a few weeks ago,” Lance chuckled, sounding like he was about to cry. His mouth was wobbly as he observe Keith trying to test his shoulder when all of a sudden Lance hugged him tight. That surprised Keith (and Shiro) because he had never done that before. “I’m so sorry, buddy.” Lance sobbed and Keith smiled as he brought his hands up to return the hug.

“It’s okay, Lance. I didn’t die,” Keith chuckled.

“Thank the gods. Because if you did, your Daddy’s going to kill me himself.” Lance cried out in horror. “And put me in The Fields of Punishment!”

Shiro smiled so wide as he observe the scene in front of him. Keith was laughing and he was so endeared that Keith was opening himself up more to others. Shiro was so busy looking fondly at his two friends that he didn’t notice someone stood beside him.

“My son has friends,” Hades sniffed, looking like a damn proud parent. “My little bat, so precious. I’m so glad that people are gradually seeing how wonderful Keith is. I hope this continues.”

Shiro was surprised to see the god of the Underworld but he just smiled to himself and hummed, “Me, too.”

Yuratcha ‘’Yuri’’ Plisetsky is the best goddamn thing on this planet and here is why:
1) He’s a literal angel

2) He’s a literal devil

3) He likes cats and owns at least one (probably more)

4) He has more drive than any of the skaters. And I firmly believe this.

5) Probably definitely an emo.
6)He snuck into a a club in Barcelona to find Otabek and made his friends practically stalk the dude to try and find out where he went
7) He then proceeded to scream and climb over Otabek’s DJ equipment to yell about how much he loved the song Welcome To The Madness
8) Welcome to the Madness
9) In Regards to Love: Agape
10) Allegro Appassionato
(ya’ll know I love the OST)
11) He hates JJ
12) He says:

13) he practically sells his soul to Lilia (remember what I said about drive?)
14) His hair
15) He’s so addicted to instagram that he couldn’t help but snap his new tiger top and got his cover blown
16) One of the main reasons I love this guy is because of his relationships with other people and how they shape him so:

His relationship with Nikolai Plisetsky:
Yuri’s Grandpa. From what we know, Yuri’s parents were pretty absent. Little Yuri’s only support system was Nikolai and still is to this day. He was raised by him. His focus for Agape is his grandfather and his unconditional love for the man. He enjoys cuddles from his grandpa. The man makes Yuri Katsudon Piroshki just to cheer him up. Yuri is sad when his grandpa isn’t there and feels insecure.

fellow Russian skater and Yuri’s rink mate. I like to think they bicker like they are brother and sister. It is clear that they both support eachother.

His relationship with Nishigori Yuuko:
this is a really cute one. It is clear that Yuri forms an attachment to Yuuko over his stay in Japan. Yuuko cares for Yuri and helps him grow as a person. Yuuko is included in those that Yuri counts on for changing him and making him into a better skater. Even though Yuuko is obviously supportive of Katsuki Yuri, it is clear that she also supports Yuri P and is rooting for him. The two keep up correspondence well after Yuri P leaves Japan and this is just the best thing. Their scene when Yuri K is skating and Yuuko sees Yuri P leave is so sad but so good to show Yuri P’s vulnerability

His relationship with Katsuki Yuri
What starts as a rivalry I feel like grows into something much more. Rink mates, rivals, competitors and most of all, friends. Yuri K treats Yuri P as an equal. Even though Yuri P at the Sochi Grand Prix wanted to get across that he thought he was better than Yuri K (hence the threat scene) I feel like Yuri P was actually incredibly insecure. Even though they have a banter and rivalry, it is clear that Yuri P holds Yuri K in high regard. Yuri P remembers the other’s birthday and gives him Katsudon Piroshki as a gift. He opens up to Yuri in this scene; both of them vulnerable. When Yuri K is rumoured to be retiring, Yuri P gets extremely upset and angry. He feels like Yuri K is throwing his shot away. Also the scene in the waterfall where he lets himself be vulnerable infront of Yuri K aswell. Yeah. I love these two. As Victor said ‘‘Yuri (K), I am not the only one who got their ‘L’ words from you.(referencing Yuri P)’‘

His relationship with Victor Nikiforov:
Rink mate. Very obviously Yuri looks up to him. He knows Victor well and grew up watching the man get gold year after year. It is clear that he holds Victors opinion very highly and is very hurt that Victor leaves Russia. Even though it is better for Yuri in the long run, as it gives him something to fight for. Also, the scene after the engagement where he angrily starts kicking Victor’s back and says ‘‘Victor Nikiforov is dead’‘ is SO DEEP. Not only do we see Victor get physically angry for the first time, but we also see Yuri completely loose it. It’s clear that Yuri is projecting his fear. In my opinion, he’s scared of losing Victor even more. Infairness, it seems that Yuri doesn’t have a lot of family, and Victor was probably a big brother figure. So the thought of loosing him to Yuri K probably terrified him.

His relationship with Otabek Atlin
Saved the best till last. You all know my love for Otabae so I’ll try and keep this to mostly Yuri’s POV. Not only is Otabek his first proper friend that wasn’t out of circumstance (which is ridiculous. Yuri is 15 and has never had a friend). But Otabek respects him. Otabek treats him as a human. He opens up to him. He isn’t pushy, and Yuri likes this. The two support eachother regardless about the fact that they are competitors. They want eachother to succeed. in the WTTM manga, this is just reiterated. Yuri is so upset about his free skate. Otabek supports him, even though he was completely rOBBED OF A MEDAL. Otabek is calm and collected. Yuri doesn’t want praise after his free. He wants to be heard. Otabek is also not an idiot. Yuri is reckless where as Otabek is solid and secure and clever. Otabek runs away from him when Yuri wants to join him at a club because he knows Yuri is underage and wants to protect him. Otabek literally rescues Yuri from fangirls. Their relationship is so pure for something that lasted over a very short amount of time.
also yes Welcome to the Madness. Yuri just literally asks Otabek to go on the Ice with him to show Yuri and Victors Duetto performance. My god.
anyway basically regardless if you ship these two or not, they are incredibly important to eachother.

“Zidane has been very smart with how he’s worked it and he’s been able to use every single player. That’s been crucial in reaching the CL final and winning LaLiga.”

“To be the first player in history to score 100 Champions League goals was an aim I had set myself at the beginning of the season, and thanks to God, I was able to achieve it. I’d like to thank my teammates, the coach and the Real Madrid fans. It was a special moment in my career.”

“I’m aware that what I’ve achieved in football will continue to set a standard. It’s not an accident that I’ve beaten so many records. It motivates me to train and play better.”

“I’m thrilled with the job Zidane is doing. I always admired him as a player and now even more so as a coach because he’s an extremely positive, hard-working person, and has a lot of respect for the players. So I have no doubt at all that the success of this team is down to Zidane and the excellent job he’s doing.”

FULL INTERVIEW:

Q: How are you preparing for your third Champions League final in four years?
“It”s always special to play in the Champions League final. We’re up against a great team. We know it’s going to be a difficult game but we’re Real Madrid and we’ve got every chance of winning it. I think it’s 50-50 but of course I hope we can win it because it’d be an extraordinary achievement.”

Q: Looking more specifically at this season’s tournament - has it been more demanding as the reigning champions?
“Winning the Champions League is extremely difficult. In the Group Stages, we went through second, behind Dortmund, but I think we did a good job.
Then we went on to knock out great teams like Atlético and Bayern and that’s why we deserve to be in the final. Ever since I’ve been at Real Madrid, we’ve always shown we can up our level in the knock-out rounds and that shows what a great team we are.”

Q: Are you motivated by the chance to be the first team ever to win two consecutive Champions Leagues?
“That’s something that every player at Real Madrid wants to achieve. We want to go down in history, and if we win, we’ll be the first team ever to lift the title in two consecutive seasons under the new Champions League format. It’s our ambition and our dream. Let’s cross our fingers.”

Q: Let’s talk about Juventus. What impresses you about them? How will you look to get the better of such a strong defence, with players like Bonucci and Barzagli?
“They’re an excellent team. They haven’t made it to the final by accident. They’ve won the Italian league and the cup. They’re tough opposition and we know it’s going to be a difficult game. They like to mark their opponents closely, like Atlético de Madrid. They may well have a fantastic back line, but no matter how good their defenders are, there’s always a weak point to be found in any defence. So, we’ll have to discover those weak points, capitalise on the space that Juventus give us in the game and make the most of it in order to score goals.”

Q: How do you think this final will be different to the previous two against Atlético?
“It’ll be very similar. They’re finals and it’s always 50-50. Both teams will be looking to capitalise on the other’s mistakes. The winning side will most probably be the one who makes the fewest errors; I hope that is Real Madrid. It’ll be a thrilling clash, the whole world loves watching it and the players enjoy it out on the pitch. Expectations are high and the team is confident.”

Q: I want to ask you about how your role in the team has evolved in two respects. Firstly, in regard to your position, playing increasingly as a traditional number 9. Second, regarding the amount of games you’ve been involved in, which has allowed you to come into the crucial games in your best form.
“My position will always be the same. My favourite place to play is in a free role along the forward line and that’s the opportunity Zidane has given me. I play very freely. On one side, down the centre… I play where I think best.
As for the number of games, that’s something we discussed at the start of the season and I knew it was necessary. In the last two years I’ve been tired going into the final stretch of LaLiga and the Champions League. So this year I rested a couple of games and I feel much better at this stage than I have in previous years.”

Q: This year at Real Madrid, there have been 20 or 21 guys playing on a regular basis. Do you think that’s been a key element in taking the team so far?
“Yes, I think so. Zidane has managed the squad very intelligently. It’s not easy. It’s not a straightforward situation because every player wants to play all the time. Zidane has been very smart with how he’s worked it and he’s been able to use every single player. That’s been crucial in reaching the final and winning LaLiga. I think that’s why we’ve had such a great season.”

Q: We have to talk about the record of 100 goals in the Champions League, a number only you have managed to reach. How special is it? Do you keep these kinds of records in mind?
“Yes, it was a milestone I wanted to reach. I was close to doing so but I went a couple of games without scoring, which made it a bit more difficult. I always believed I would be the first player in history to score 100 goals and I managed it. It was an aim I had set myself at the beginning of the season, and thanks to God, I was able to achieve it. I’d like to thank my teammates, the coach and the Real Madrid fans. It was a special moment in my career. I’m extremely happy. “

Q: Do you ever stop and think that you’re making football history? Are you aware of the fact that what you’re doing will last for many years?
“Yes, I’m aware that what I’ve achieved in football will continue to set a standard. It’s not an accident that I’ve beaten so many records. It’s not an obsession for me, but it’s true that I like setting them. I’m happy and motivated. It motivates me to train and play better. I’m always ambitious to keep improving and be at the best possible level.”

Q: I’d like to ask you about Zidane and the impact he’s had on the team. When he came in half-way through last season, it was a different situation. Now, at the end of his first full season, what do you think of him?
“He’s done an extraordinary job. He was with us from the start this season and he’s showing what a fantastic manager he’s becoming. I’m thrilled with the job he’s doing. I always admired him as a player and now even more so as a coach because he’s an extremely positive, hard-working person, and has a lot of respect for the players. So I have no doubt at all that the success of this team is down to Zidane and the excellent job he’s doing. All the players are very happy with him.”

Fanon presumed it’d be Fulcrum who spent the most time with Grimlock to help or bond with him, but it seems Misfire willingly assumed that role instead.

He’s encouraging and empathic, but has the violent reaction to a “gross” accident you’d expect from a brutish Decepticon, yet curbs himself from abusing Grimlock. It doesn’t appear to be out of fear. He wants to show patience and decency. I won’t deny that he’s seriously struggling with it, but at the very least he’s trying. Could be flawed impulse control, a symptom of ADHD which he has according to bio…

I hope we’ll see a positive development.

Beat Around The Bush by XRAYi

I Am XRAYi.

This is my beat playing in the background…

“Beat Around The Bush” started as a random name to a random beat.

One day i realized the political implications of that term, especially in regards to 9/11

It is a crime in itself that WE, the American public, can be aware that 9/11 was more than likely an “inside job” but 15 years later nothing has been done.

In fact we’re STILL at war under possible false pretenses.

It just seems like no one cares and the ones that DO are so far outnumbered and labeled as “conspiracy theorists” but anyone who has done ANY research on this subject has surely found credible evidence that explosives were placed in the world trade centers PRIOR to 9/11.

Obviously this indicates an inside job.

And as far as the Pentagon, they FINALLY released 2 security camera clips and it’s clear there is no Boeing 757 in those videos.

Dude, that shit doesn’t bother anybody at all???

I don’t know what’s more scary: The insidious control that the “powers that be” have over society, or how complacent we are with that control.

It’s time for America to stop (and start) beating around the Bush!

In other words: stop stalling, find out who REALLY did it, and punish THEM!!!

Until then we will never truly heal as a nation…

In response to the London terror attack post, I know this is really hard to say but do you think those who were killed in those tragic events attracted it to themselves? I know this is quite controversial and I don't mean to offend anyone, just wanted to Gain some clarity

I do not know whether or not people like purposely “attracted” that to themselves. That is something beyond my awareness. I do believe that you can unconsciously attract yourself being in dangerous situations, along with the belief that when it’s our time to go it’s our time to go.

Sometimes we aren’t as in tune with our intuition as we could be and can miss cues that are saying don’t go that way, so that’s a possibility too…

I do personally believe that God decides when we live and when we die. But that’s just my personal belief.

I just know you hear stories, like in regards to 9/11 or something like that, about how a person forgot their briefcase or something and went a different route to work and ended up not being there when the tragedy happened. Is that luck, or a mixture of God’s protection and also law of attraction at the same time? That’s up to the individual to decide what they believe.

Somehow people attracted not being there, somehow they were protected. You could say it’s coincidence, but I believe it to be otherwise.

Again, my personal belief is that God decides when we are born and when we transition out of this world, and that whatever is to befall us will befall us because it did, and whatever does not befall us will not because it didn’t…if that makes sense.

Dazed and confused

There seems to be much confusion online with respect to INFJs. I like to think of the category more in terms of a person’s dominant brain activity as measured across a variety of scenarios, with everyone on a spectrum and variation even within this artificial category. The MBTI online tests often seem inadequate for many people in teasing out their dominant thought patterns. The descriptions of type are generic enough that people within the spectrum of INFJ and without could say “this applies to me” or “this does not apply to me” rather easily. It is like a good fortune cookie.

Some things I have noticed in trying to identify well-known INFJs in various spheres are sort of interesting.

1. There are not very many INFJs.

2. Percentage wise, there may be even less famous or well known INFJs.

3. Most of the famous INFJ examples on the Internet are wrong. This probably leads to a lot of confusion for people trying to figure out how their mind works by identifying with celebrities.

4. INFJs more or less don’t act, don’t sing, and don’t dance. At least not well enough to become famous. (Note: yes, INFJs do these activities; only a few rare birds seem to be well known for them.)

5. INFJs do however become cartoonists and writers, especially non-fiction writers.

6. INFJs are often found in academia, especially in subjects such as chemistry, English, history, political science. Anything involving theoretical systems and following procedure. They seem to be found less often in positions of prominence in relation to subjects like math and physics (which are often dominated by INFP, ENFP, INTP, ENTP, INTJ, and ENTJ types).

7.  Their presentation and demeanor often comes across very similar to that of an INTJ. They may be very in their head, analytical, conceptual, hesitant in speech, and rather awkward.

8. The type descriptions often suggest INFJs are rather bubbly and openly emotional, doers and performers, which is usually not so much the case. This leads to a lot of ENFPs, ESFPs, ISFPs, ISFJs, and more identifying with the description. However, the description does not exactly describe the INFJ way of being as they appear to the world. INFJs spend massive amounts of time in their heads thinking, planning, and systematizing. On the outside, it really does not appear that much is going on and INFJs may even be regarded as outwardly boring.

9. It is a huge challenge to get out of their heads and actually, physically do things. This would entail expending a lot of energy and INFJs are generally not high on dopamine (which is associated with extroversion) or kinesthetic intelligence (unless they have really worked on this area of development). INFJs do not seem to be very prominent in sports, as top-level athletes either.

questions for the mun, regarding the muse. @celestialspitfire

9. Do you enjoy putting your muse through angst? What do you think would break their heart the most? (HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA)

I greatly enjoy putting my muse through heavy development situation, not necessarily angst, but given how Archer is a character with heavy walls build around him I feel like it’s satisfying to work my way through him being more vulnerable… which doesn’t happen very often. As Archer can still open up (because he’s only human with feelings), the only time he was genuinely vulnerable was very recently with Chiri ( @kitchiris ), not even his little hiccups with Gale or Jude ( @popokki @catastrophicur ) could count to me as Archer being emotionally vulnerable. (weak @ waifu)

WHAT WOULD BREAK ARCHER’S HEART………….. Genuinely Idk. Like really. Archer is emotionally ready to lose absolutely everything and doesn’t believe that anything he likes will stick for a long period of time to him; everything in his eyes is ephemeral. The thing about his character is that at rare occasions he does permit himself to get attached to someone/something. He believes that he’s only human and humans are weak creatures which have emotions and that closing himself to any sort of emotional affection would be going against his nature and would be, in the long run unhealthy. (snort @ Archer talking about unhealthy/healthy things)

But RIGHT OFF NOW there is nothing I think that would make Archer have a true heartbreak. There are like very sad things but nothing at this level yet that comes to me in my hypothesis. He’s already broken so uh eeyyy.

15 Tips For Surviving A Long Distance Relationship

Maintaining long distance relationships is more common than ever. Here are 15 tips from DearWendy.com that may help you survive a long distance relationship:

1. Discuss options to move.

From the get-go, you need to be honest with each other about whether you’d be willing to relocate some time in the future. It’s never too early to discuss this. Drew and I touched on this topic on our first date when he said that he’d never leave New York City and I commented that I’d be finishing graduate school in a few months and would definitely be willing to relocate some time after that. If neither of you is willing to move, there’s no point in starting a long distance relationship and the sooner you’re clear about that, the better.

2. Establish an end date.

While it doesn’t have to be an exact date, a ball park idea of when one of you would be ready to relocate needs to be established from the get-go. Sometimes this date is dependent on factors like graduation or the end of an internship or study/work abroad program. In the event that the date is completely flexible, expectations need to be expressed by both parties. How long are you reasonably willing to “wait” to be together? One year? Eighteen months? Two years? Maintaining an LDR without an end date is like baking a cake without a pan.

3. Agree on ground rules.

Will you be totally exclusive? Allowed to date other people but not have sex? Does anything go? Will you have a “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy? Whatever works for you is fine, but make sure it works for your partner, too, and that you’re both on the same page. And if you decide not to be exclusive, revisit this decision every three months or so as your relationships grows and becomes more serious.

4. Plan frequent visits.

This should go without saying, but if you live far apart, plan to see each other as often as you can afford to. Try never to say good-bye to each other after a visit without having another visit already lined up. If airline tickets take a sudden plunge, or you find a great deal, buy a few tickets if you have enough faith that you’ll be a couple for a while. After Drew and I had been dating about seven months, there was a great post-holiday deal where tickets were, like, $78 round trip from NYC to Chicago. We bought enough tickets for bi-weekly visits for the next three months, which was how far ahead we were comfortable planning at that point.

5. Utilize technology.

With texting, Skype, digital cameras and recorders, IMing, and iPhone video calls, it’s never been easier to reach out and (almost) touch someone, so take advantage of all that technology, whether it’s simply to chat or to get a little sexy up in here.

6. Do things together.

Watching the same movies, reading the same books or magazine articles, and cooking the same recipes — even if you do these things individually — will help establish a feeling of togetherness and give you something to talk about during those long evening phone calls.

7. Communicate every day.

Speaking of long evening phone calls, make sure you’re making them as often as possible. If you don’t have time for a long call, make a short call, or text, or send a quick email. Communicating every day is key to staying connected and reminding one another that you’re in each other’s thoughts.

8. Enjoy the best of both worlds.

This is a wonderful time when you have the benefits of a committed partner, and get to enjoy plenty of free time on your own. Before long, your schedule will be filled with couple time, so until then enjoy spending your evenings and weekends exactly how — and with whom — you want to spend them. You’ll be making lots of compromises in that regard soon enough.

9. Trust each other.

Understand that your significant other will have plenty of opportunities to behave in a way that would make you cringe. If you can’t trust him or her to act appropriately and keep the best interests of you and your relationship at heart, there’s no point in being together.

10. Introduce friends and family.

As tempting as it may be to lock the outside world out during those times you get to visit each other, do step out and introduce one another to important members of your inner circle. Doing so will strengthen your bond and help to close the gap that long distances can create between two people.

11. Avoid guilt trips.

You’re in this boat together, so understand it’s not always going to be a smooth ride and it isn’t one person’s fault when it isn’t. Things are going to come up that make an evening phone call impossible, or visiting each other for important occasions not feasible (or at least not practical). A few months after Drew and I started dating, I turned 30. I really wanted him there for the big day, but his nephew — the first baby in the family — was due that same week (and was born the day before my birthday). I had to accept that I would have more milestone birthdays, but Drew would never again have the chance to be there for the birth of his nephew.

12. Send something tangible.

A love letter, some flowers, a mixed CD, some home baked cookies — any token of affection — is a sweet way to keep the romance alive across the miles and give your partner something to touch when s/he can’t touch you.

13. Discuss the future.

Making plans or fantasizing together about what life will be like when you no longer live in different cities will help remind you that there is an end date and that the other person is just as excited about starting the next chapter of your relationship as you are. It also helps to make practical plans, like whether you’ll immediately move in together and what steps you need to take now to make your fantasies a reality.

14. Avoid temptation.

If you’re missing the immediate attention and affection of your significant other, don’t be stupid and put yourself in a situation where the charms of someone else is a difficult temptation to resist. Acknowledge when you’re feeling lonelier or more vulnerable than usual, and stay away from people and situations that have proven to be trouble for you in the past.

15. Be flexible.

In an LDR, things are never ever going to be 100% convenient. Calls with be made super late at night, or super early in the morning. Visits will be planned during weekends you might have a lot of work to do, or a commitment — like a baby shower, or bachelor party — that can’t be rescheduled. When these things happen, it’s important to remain flexible, work with what you’ve got, enjoy whatever time you can spend with each other and not get too wound up about the things you can’t control. There will be a lot in your relationship that will be out of your control, and the sooner you learn to just go with the flow, the smoother the ride will be for everyone.

Hi, just commenting again. Today's post (7-9-17) regarding Sharna's quote is a great observation from the beginning of their relationship up until now in a nutshell. I was glad you brought up Pierson because I was going to ask your opinion on why he did not go to the wedding. You are always ahead of the game. Just curious, are you a psychologist/psychiatrist or in that field? I will go by the name, BBBFan (and a fan of you), so you know it is me when I comment, ask or praise you. Thanks again!

My only thought on Pierson and Sharna at the moment is that they are on a break while she is on tour. Hence, why he did not go to either wedding with her.

Perhaps they will hook up again when she is back in LA? I hope not, because I feel Pierson acts immature and is not ready for the serious committed relationship Sharna wants.

Sharna, once again, reiterated today that she is single and wants a baby.

I think that is a pretty direct message to send to any man that might be interested in her.

That is her end game. A guy and a family.

And no, I do not work in any of those fields you mention. I am a business person.

regarding episode 9…

I really don’t want Makkachin to die (or seeing Viktor in pain…) but tbh if Makkachin doesn’t die and it’s a false alarm it’d be anticlimactic from the story’s point of view. Yes, it’d be a test of Yuuri to do things without Viktor, but it’s time for the story to be more about Viktor–we’re at episode 9 already. Makkachin’s death and Viktor’s reaction plus possible backstory from Yakov and co. adds to the story.

Also

the story began in Russia, Yuuri had just lost his beloved dog, and things started moving when Viktor showed up and ‘saved’ Yuri.

Now we’re in Russia again, Viktor losing his dog and Yuuri being the one to ‘save’ him would make sense…

AND

Viktor’s ‘always happy’ mask has to come off eventually.

He doesn’t look happy at all in his private moments…

(also, Makkachin is very old… almost 13 yo)

Malcolm Turnbull Doesn’t Give a Shit About Marriage Equality

While Australia’s got rid of Tony Abbott, Malcolm Turnbull isn’t really any better. Turnbull is for marriage equality but he’s postponing the people’s vote until after the next election. He doesn’t care about the lgbtqa+ community, he is using marriage equality to get re-elected. He is doing exactly what Kevin Rudd and the Labour party tried to pull in the 2013 election. I am just sick of Australian Prime Ministers only in it for themselves and fucking around with people’s basic humans rights.

Turnballs response (15/9/15) regarding the public vote on marriage equality:

“Another way of dealing with this is by vote of the people. And the Coalition, our government, has decided that the resolution of this matter will be determined by a vote of the people, all the people, via a plebiscite, to be held after the next election.” (x)
