Resquets are open

The night was only getting started and you could already feel your head pounding. The loud music was booming trough the house and a bunch of teens were already wasted on the dance floor.

Cheryl Blossom had thrown a party in the honor of the new riverdale’s vixons. Since you were a part of the cheersquad, you felt obligated to attend the event. You never really were the partying type but your bestfriend Veronica, had practically dragged you to the Blossom’s manor. She promised you that you would have a good time and that your long time crush, Archie Andrews, was going to be there.

You had been friends with Archie since kindergarden and always thought he maybe had a crush on you but you were never sure of it. Vernica knew you liked him so there was no point in denying your feelings towards the boy with her. After a lot of arguing, you decided to give this party a try only if Veronica stayed with you all night, which of course, she accepted.

You two danced and laughed like little kids. Even if you had a headache from all the noise, you couldn’t help but have fun with your best friend. While jumping and singing, you had tried looking around for the famous redhead but had no chance, not once spotting him on the dance floor. After a while, Veronica excused herself to go to the bathroom.

You were now staying at the punch table, waiting for your best friend to come back from the restroom when Reggie, one of the football players approached you. You guys had talked once or twice, but never enough to call each other friends. His tall and attractive figure made it’s way towards you, as he gave you a cheeky grin.

“What’s cookin’, good lookin’?” Reggie was close enough for you to smell the alcohol in his system. He had obviously drank alot

“Hey Reggie” You returned loudly enough for him to hear you.

“Whatchu doin’ out here all by yourself?” You laughed at his sudden bizarre way of talking.

“Actually, I’m waiting for Veronica to come back from the bathroom.” The drunken teen beside you only nodded and pourred himself another drink. His back was pressed against the wall, slurping the liquor that was in his cup.

“Wanna go upstairs?” You furrowed your eyebrows and quickly turned your head towards Reggie.

“I’m sorry?” You asked confused. The tall teenager slowly made his way closer to you as you took a step back.

“You know what I mean,” He said, eyeing your body up and down.

“Come on (y/n), I know you want it.” Before you could say anything, Reggie’s hands made it’s way to your hips trying to pull you towards him. You pushed him lightly on his chest.

“What are you doing? Stop that.” He ignored you and started kissing your neck, leaving a trail of wet kisses.

“Don’t touch me!” You tried pushing him harder but he only held you with more force. He dug his fingers on your hips probably leaving bruises along the way. Tears started forming in your eyes as you squirmed to get out of his grasp.

“Don’t fight it babe.” You cried out for help but no one seemed to be hearing you.

“I bet you’re so hot underneath that dress, I-” Reggie was then aggresivly pulled of you and thrown on the ground. He grunted in pain as his head hit the hard wood flooring. In front of you, your redhead crush was pinning down Reggie by the neck. Your eyes widened in horror as Archie started punching the teen beneth him.

“Archie- You’re going to hurt him!”
Around you, a circle of drunken people we’re starting to chant ‘fight, fight, fight’ continuesly. Others had their phones out recording the scene. So much was going on in such a small amount of time, you couldn’t comprehend it all.
Reggie was trying to fight back, but couldn’t due to the heavy weight of Archie on him and all the punches he was getting on the nose and the jaw. Some people in the room were still unaware of the fight, and others just seemed uninterested. The redhead was still going at it when you shook his shoulder saying,

“Don’t do this, he isn’t worth it.” Archie looked back at you.

“He should'nt touch you like that!”
You looked at Reggie on the ground. He was completely knocked out. His once good looking face was now all blue from the punches. You couldn’t look at him without getting a shiver down your spine.

“Let’s just leave, okay? Before all of this becomes any worse.” Archie nodded, got up and tried making his way trough the crowd of people. You looked around and couldn’t find Veronica. Where the hell was she? You made yourself a mental note to text her the second you got home. She probably couldn’t get to you because of the mass of teens in the room, still excited about the fight. You and Archie quickly made your way out of the Blossom manor before anyone could hold you back

The stars were the only source of light in Riverdale at this time of night. The streets were quiet as you two walked side by side on the old sidewalk.
You kept playing what happened at the party over and over in your head. It was like an endless cycle inside your mind. The thoughts of almost getting sexualy assaulted terrified you. Gratefulness filled your heart for Archie. If he wouldn’t had been there, who knows what would’ve happened next. A few minutes passed before you broke the silence.

“Thank you, Archie. For what you did back there. I don’t know what I would have done without you.” You said while walking. He shrugged his shoulders like it was no biggie.

“You don’t have to thank me, it’s the least I could do.” You stopped walking and sighed at Archie.

“But, I do. Reggie could’ve done awful things to me but you were there to stop him.”

“Reggie is a shit face who never should’ve laid eyes on you in the first place.” He continued. “You’re precious (y/n). I wouldn’t let anyone touch you or take advantage of you” You smiled at him and blushed at his last comment. You looked down from embarasment.

“You really mean that?” Archie lifted your chine up with his thumb and locked his beautiful brown eyes with yours.

“Of course I do.” Your heart started racing in your chest. Had Archie just confessed his feelings for you?
Your lips formed a small smile as he took your small hands in his big ones. Your breathing became shaky as his mouth was only centimeters away from your own.

He then slowly locked his lips with yours. Electricity was running trough your veins as the red head boy was kissing you. You couldn’t believe that this was actually happening. The boy who you had a crush on since you we’re five, was kissing you. His lips were warm, soft and brought you comfort.

Suddenly, nothing else mattered in the world but you and Archie. All you wanted was him, and all he wanted was you.

Hi! Do you think you could please do either (or all) 2 and Reggie 82 and Archie 83 and Jughead Thank you! I'm keen to read more from you and I hope you have a lovely day :-)

So these are gonna be very short because I’m going to do all three!

2. “The way you flirt is just shameful.” (w/ Reggie)

The past week had been full of really tiring classes and cheesy pick up lines.

You don’t know why Reggie Mantle all of a sudden had such a liking towards you, and you wish he would stop it with the pick up lines.

Just today, you had heard:
‘Hey (Y/N) are you made out of Fluorine, Iodine, and, Neon? Because you are FINe’ (accompanied by a wink).
‘Do you believe in love at first sight? Or should I walk by again?’ (accompanied by a smirk).
And after you sneezed, ‘I’d say god bless you, but it seems like he already has.’

Betty had been giggling all day and you were getting tired of his advances.

“Just tell him you aren’t interested,” Betty told you.

You groaned as you turned to answer her. “Betty, I am interested. But those pick up lines are horrible .

She giggled once more as she pointed behind you. “Well here come more pickup lines.”

You leaned on your locker as Reggie approached you, talking over him as soon as he opened his mouth.

“The way you flirt is just shameful” you drawled out. “Really Reggie, you’re attractive and all but your flirting is just horrid.”

Reggie’s eyed widened. “Oh yeah? Then how would you flirt?”

You leaned in as you began to talk. “You see Reggie, I would lean in slightly and casually touch their arm to let them know I’m interested.”

As you spoke, you let your fingers trail up Reggie’s arm, ignoring Betty’s laughter and enjoying the way he looked at you.

“Then,” you continued, your voice lowering, “I would whisper so they would have to lean in even further.”

Reggie did in fact lean in, desperate to hear your words.

“And finally, I would slowly lean up, finally making a move,” you whispered, standing on your tip toes to reach his height.

Reggie’s eyes fluttered shut as you got closer, only for you to pull back at the last second.

“But that’s just what I’d do,” you said as Reggie’s eyes flew open. “Seems a bit more… intimate than cheesy pick up lines. Don’t you think? See you around Mantle.”

Reggie stared after you as you left with Betty, promising himself that he would take you advice.

82. “Bring your pretty little butt over here.” (w/ Archie)

You were one of the best River Vixens in Riverdale High. Everyone knew it and Cheryl would’ve been crazy to not have accepted you when you tried out.

Of course, being on the team meant that you had a lot of comments about your flexibility directed at you by the football team, causing you to proclaim that you would never date a football player.

But you had said that before Archie Andrews, your long time crush, had joined the team.

When Archie first joined the team, Reggie noticed just how taken he was with you and had immediately told him ‘Don’t waste your time. She’s not into us.’

Archie had been heartbroken.

Of course, Betty Cooper knew that Archie liked you. And she also knew that you liked him. And after she had accidentally let it slip to you that a certain redheaded jock had a crush on you, you didn’t know what to do.

Everyone was getting tired of the longing stares, the gentle touches, the furious blushes. Especially Veronica.

“Just ask him out (Y/N)!” she exclaimed one day during practice. “He thinks you don’t like him.”

“Yeah (Y/N),” Betty agreed. “He’s not going to make the first move here.”

Gathering up the little courage you had, you called out for Archie as he ran past you guys.

“Hey Andrews! Bring your pretty little butt over here !” you shouted, scowling at B & V as they burst out laughing.

Archie chuckled as he made his way over. “Hey (Y/N), what’s-”

He was cut off by you pressing your lips to his, which also caused B & V to go quiet. They hadn’t expected you to kiss him.

Archie reacted quickly, placing his hands on your waist and pulling you closer.

“Go out with me?” he said as he pulled away, breathless. You only had time to nod as he kissed you again, causing B & V to coo over how cute you guys were.

83. “Why are you dressed like that?” (w/ Jughead)

‘Meet me at Pop’s later?’

You smiled at your phone as you saw Jughead’s text. Noticing your smile, Veronica immediately asked her usual question. “Ooh is it your boyfriend again?”

Flushing, you shook your head. “You know we’re just friends Ronnie.”

Betty snorted, immediately covering her face with her hands. “Oh come on! We all know you guys like each other (Y/N/N).”

You shook your head as Veronica sighed in frustration.

“Look, lets make a bet. Just let us get all dolled up and if he doesn’t compliment you at all we’ll never bring it up again,” she said.

You thought it over before nodding hesitantly, causing B & V to squeal.

As you walked into Pop’s however, you couldn’t help but regret your decision. B & V had dressed you in a black and white polka dot blouse and a tan corduroy skirt and you felt extremely awkward.

As you passed a booth, you were met with catcalls and whistling, courtesy of the football team, which drew Jughead’s attention.

“Why are you dressed like that?” Jughead asked as he looked over your outfit.

“I got a hot date,” you joked, completely missing the way Jughead’s jaw clenched at your words. “Just kidding. B & V have some stupid theory and they wanted to try it out.”

“What’s this theory about?” Jughead asked.

“Nothing,” you replied, your voice a little bit more high pitched than normal, which did not go unnoticed by Jughead. “Don’t worry about it.”

Jughead narrowed his eyes at you before slowly turning back to his laptop.

“Hey (Y/N),” you heard a new voice say.

You and Jughead both turned to the source of the voice, surprised to find Chuck Clayton standing next to your booth.

“What do you want Chuck?” Jughead asked harshly.

Shooting a glare at Jughead, Chuck turned to you and flashed you a charming smile. “I was hoping that you’d like to join me tonight.”

You couldn’t stop yourself from letting out a snort. “Are you serious?”

“Yes I am,” Chuck replied, enjoying the way that Jughead clenched his fists, trying to stay calm. Sliding in next to you, he threw his arm around your shoulders. “What do you say (Y/N)? Me, you, a few milkshakes?”

“Can you just leave Chuck?” Jughead finally snapped.

Chuck chuckled before replying. “Not when this girl needs a hot date.”

Jughead closed his laptop, ready to leave. “Well (Y/N), it looks like you do have a ‘hot date’ after all.”

You tried to go after Jughead but Chuck wouldn’t move, causing you to jump over the booth as Jughead constantly did. You walked out of the diner, ignoring Chuck’s calls.

You caught up to Jughead fairly quickly as he hadn’t gotten far.

“Juggie! Wait up,” you called.

Jughead turned, a scowled on his face as you began to walk with him. “Why’d you leave your date?” He asked bitterly.

“So you know that theory that I was telling you about?” you asked. Jughead grunted in response.

“Well,” you continued. “B & V think that by making me dress all nicely as if I were going on a date, you’d confess your feelings for me.”

Jughead stopped in his tracks, causing you to stop as well and turn to face him.

“Oh,” was all he said.

“Yeah, I know it’s stupid. Why would you ever like me?”

Jughead furrowed his eyebrows at your words.

“It’s just,” you took a deep breath. There was no going back after this. “They’re tired of seeing me have this hopeless crush on you and they’re so convinced you like me back and even though I know that’s not true they thought that by getting me to dress up that-”

Your rambling was cut off when Jughead grabbed your hand and pulled you to him, embracing you in his arms.

“It’s not hopeless,” he whispered. “How could I not like you? Youre absolutely breathtaking.” You smiled into his chest as you wrapped your arms around him.

“By the way, you look absolutely stunning tonight,” Jughead whispered in your ear.

You blushed, realizing that you had lost the bet against B & V, but you couldn’t care less.

(there! All three requests. I hope you like them!! Also guys, I won’t be able to do the other asks until either late tonight or most likely tomorrow. I have a lot of apush and calculus homework to do I’M SORRY. I’LL TRY TO FINISH QUICKLY)

The Chronicles of a Crown Beanie

Summary: The beanie is a culmination and a physical manifestation of his life up until now. His achievements. His mistakes. His hardships. His experiences. (A study into the life of Jughead Jones’ beanie.)

He’s eight when the crown beanie comes into his possession.

His mom knits it for him, behind closed doors so her oldest child doesn’t see her making it. He’s oblivious when she buys grey wool in front of him.

She does it because she’s uncertain of her future. Her recent diagnosis made sure of that- and if she passes, then this will be something for him to remember her buy.

Money in the bank disappears as her husband makes every effort to save her from her cervical cancer, and she can foresee the tough times ahead. The very boy in question goes to juvie for accidentally setting a fire in school. But knitting this grey hat for her son is one pleasure she escapes to everyday after she tucks Jughead and Jellybean in.

She gives it to him on his birthday- they’re at the Drive-In, their yearly tradition, and after Jughead and Jellybean have climbed out of the trunk, so that they don’t have to pay for tickets they can’t afford, she turns to him.

“Happy birthday, Jug,” She says, pale skin gently pressing the gift wrapped garment into his hands. Her cancer has only just gone into remission, and it looks like it will stay that way, but her hands are still pale, and Jughead ignores this as he puts the crown beanie on for the first time.

He’s ten. The beanie has been his constant companion, his security blanket, which has been with him through thick and thin.

He’s in the bedroom they share as Jughead braids Jellybean’s hair, trying not to acknowledge the shouting that’s shaking the foundation of the rickety house, from the other side of the door. His parents are fighting again, over monetary issues, but Jughead and his sister are perfectly fine with pretending that everything’s okay, as she giggles when he tickles the back of her neck, once he’s done with her hair.

Their father slams his fist into a wall, startling the two, and they embrace each other, finally ceasing the facade they’ve created. Jellybean, only five, starts sniffling, and Jughead pulls her closer. He’s trying to play his part of older brother as well as he can, and making sure that Jellybean is okay- that’s his greatest responsibility at the moment. So, as a means of comfort, he gives his beanie to his sister, with a whisper of, “You’ll feel better.”

Later, he ventures out to appease a hungry sister, as well as to check on his parents, and ends up breaking his left ring and middle finger when his dad accidentally slams a door on his hand. When his mom is wrapping his fingers up, and he’s listening to his dad apologize profusely Jellybean gives the beanie back.

“You’ll feel better,” She returns.

He’s ten and a half, and making his way to music class with Archie and Betty by his side. His ever-present beanie rests on his head, and he tucks a short lock of wavy hair into it.

“Beanie-baby!” Shouts Jason Blossom from across the hall, and everyone sniggers, excluding Archie and Betty. It’s a terrible insult, really, Jughead thinks, but his cheeks still turn red from embarrassment.

His friends stand up for him, with Betty threatening to punch Jason’s butt, and the matter is soon forgotten by everyone, except Jughead.

They next day he stands in front of his mirror, having an inner debate on why he should have some integrity and wear his beanie, because who cares what Jason Blossom thinks? But thoughts of everyone laughing at him invade his logical side, and he removes it, shoving in his drawer. His mom is surprised, but doesn’t say anything as she walks him to school, but Betty Cooper is insistent on finding out why. “Is it because of yesterday?” She asks, standing beside her redheaded crush, and she’s absolutely right. But, Jughead shakes his head and tells her that he outgrew it.

The whole day he’s uncomfortable, even more so when Jason Blossom smirks at him across the hallway, and the absence of his security blanket is something he doesn’t enjoy. He constantly runs his hand through his hair as an attempt to get rid of his uneasiness, and finally decides that Jason Blossom should not affect him in any way.

The next day, the hat comes back on.

He’s thirteen years old when he first loses it. Not his sanity, but his beloved beanie.

It’s a crisp winter morning when he wakes up, shivering, head pounding, with a tightness in his chest and a hacking cough. He can’t muster up the energy to get out of bed, and when his mom comes to check on him, she knows something is wrong. After Googling his symptoms, his parents decide to take him to the hospital. Jughead manages to tug the grey woolen garment over his head before he’s carried out in his pyjamas, into the biting cold and then his Dad’s pickup, whisked away to the nearest ER. But it falls off, somewhere along the way, and Jughead’s too sick to notice it before it’s too late.
