This weekend, I participated at the Art at the Arnold in the Arnold Classic. I applied to get in, and was selected with 49 others to compete. Friday was a few hours of life drawing, and designated time to shoot reference photos of the events. I found this guy- Andy Haman- hosting a mini-party for Muscle Mag and knew he was a catch. I stretched an American flag for Saturday, and headed to the competition at 730- and painted straight through until 5. We returned Sunday for judging- and the competition was steep! Lots of amazing artists. I didnt’ place, but am still very thankful for the opportunity. I passed out tons of business cards, had 3 interviews, and met a lot of great contacts!
OH YEAH, AND DID I MENTION I TALKED TO ARNOLD FOR 3 MINUTES?! He came over to me Saturday while I was painting, and we had a real conversation, and he told me he liked my painting! So silly, so ridiculous, so AHHHHHNOLLD.
