I love Red Apple Lipstick’s exfoliating stick! Got rid of all the dry skin on my lips. It’s not harsh, so you can use it daily! Then I put their Rallye Balm on and it made my lips SO soft. It makes lipstick go on perfectly and there are no dry patches for it to stick to.

All of their products are gluten free, paraben free, and cruelty free.

(On my lips: Red Apple Lipstick in Petal to the Metal)

@redapplegirls eye shadows in vamp and vintage violet. It is so hard to find reds and purples that are vegan. So I’m really excited to try these out! Red apple lipstick are a completely vegan company with high quality professional cosmetics. They are free of gluten, parabens and toxic ingredients. Red Apple Lipstick’s Rallye Balm is finally back in stock!

Product Review: Red Apple Lipstick keeps the toxins out of your makeup!

Someone asked about hypoallergenic makeup on our FB page and Red Apple Lipstick immediately came to mind! I had tested a few of their products they sent me for free and now I’m finally writing about them. They are special products–not just lipstick, fyi–because they are gluten-free, among many other things. I didn’t know gluten-free makeup was a thing but I do know I like vegan makeup! And most of their products are vegan. But check ingredients because several of the lipsticks have beeswax, and a few other things. But besides being gluten-free, they are very conscientious about toxins and that sort of thing. They have this chart of all the terrible stuff that you can find in makeup, but not in their products:

The lipstick I tried which is beeswax-free was Rebel! You can see below:

Very smooth application and nice and moisturizing! Obviously I liked it because the name has an exclamation point in it. However the color was not as bold a red as I was expecting. But it’s a nice color all the same. The other lip product I tried was their Rallye balm. It’s a “unique Vitamin E suspended in a very special Castor seed oil” and I love the stuff! It’s hyper-moisturizing and I use it all the time. It’s in my purse as we speak. And apparently you can use it in a bunch of ways:

-Nail beds and cuticles.
-Under your eyes - It reduces puffiness!
-The heels of your feet.
-Your elbows
-Dry spots on your face or scalp.
-Under eye shadows for slippery, easy smoky eyes.
-On wrinkles.
-As a lipstick base.
-Heal a pimple.

I haven’t tried those but I’m about to rub the stuff on my cuticles as soon as I’m done typing.

The last things I tried were these two eyeshadows:

Very sheer with some shimmer. I applied the Graphite Glam all over my lid and then the Violet Vixen in the crease, heavy on the outer corner. The Violet Vixen and Graphite Glam are their “dynamic duo” but you can also put together a palette on your own, which is fun.

So if you have sensitive skin and are looking for a new makeup, Red Apple is definitely worth a try. And check out the Rallye balm!

Here are all of my Red Apple Lipstick eye shadows! I had a lot of fun swatching them.

I don’t know what it is with me and lipstick lately, but I’ve really been enjoying wearing lip colours lately! I recently got two new lipsticks from a company called Red Apple Lipstick. The lipsticks are so cool, they’re vegan, gluten free, soy free, cruelty free and paraben free so you don’t have to worry about anything while wearing these! They are mineral lipsticks made with healthy products in the USA!

And don’t start to think that just because these lipsticks are natural and vegan, they aren’t as good as a regular lipstick. The opposite is true! I found them to be incredibly creamy and moisturizing! They were so smooth and apply amazingly! I picked out two of my favorite colours- Audrey, and Ooh La La. Audrey is the perfect mid-toned pink. Although I have an abundance of lipsticks, I had started to notice that I didn’t have the perfect everyday pink. I either had hot pinks or baby pinks. There was just nothing in the middle. However, Audrey filled that gap perfectly. There’s no sparkle or glitter in this shade, just a pretty creamy shine. Ooh La La is a super pretty colour as well. I definitely am going to be loving this one this Winter. It is a dusty rose with a brown undertone. Similar to Audrey, it also has no sparkle, with a touch of shine to it.

In addition to the pretty shades and formula of the Red Apple Lipsticks, they are also long lasting without drying out your lips due to the vitamin E in them! Check out Red Apple Lipstick for over 40 more shades and their range of glosses, lipliners, eye shadows and more- all of which are gluten free as well!

So my birthday was back in January, and the fabulous beautytruthandstrangeness gave me a gift certificate to Red Apple Lipstick along with a bunch of samples of some really excellent reds to pick out one I might like from them. I tried them, and tried them, and browsed the website, and signed up for their newsletter. Then, this past weekend, came a confluence of events.

For fall, they put a selection of their best reds on sale.
They also sent out, the day before announcing the sale, their monthly discount code.

I was able to pick up my favorite of their reds for basically 25% off, and still had enough money on the gift code to order three sample colors and get free shipping without having to put any extra monies down. I’ve been checking the USPS shipping tracking all week. This morning, to my glee, when I got up it had changed to OUT FOR DELIVERY at 7:41am.

It finally showed up a half hour ago. Eeee!

The red I picked looks gorgeous in the tube, and I’m definitely looking forward to wearing it a lot. (It’s called Ravishing, for the curious.) For my samples, though, I chose some pinks, because I just had a good and hopeful feeling about pink, and wanted to try it out.

So I put one on.

So…. I basically LOVE IT.

I’m wearing it in these pictures. It is called Audrey, and it’s exactly what I wanted from a pink - obvious enough that it’s there, but not Gramma No Stop Wearing Neons On Your Face bright. It’s a grownup sort of a pink - rich and smooth, not pale and little girly.

The other pink I got in a sample is called Petal Pusher and, while it has a cute name, it’s a bit paler, and I think it might lose out to this one.

I want to write letters and put smoochies in them with a color like this!

::mwah::

Red Apple Lipstick!

I received these samples a week or so ago but haven’t had the time to review. (I’ve totally had the time to wear them though)

I want to give Red Apple Lipstick 5 gold stars for their advertising and branding. I have seen ads for their gluten free lipstick EVERYWHERE. ALL OVER THE INTERNET. Go them. Get out there. The market for gluten free products is growing larger every day and many of us are looking for high quality gluten free cosmetics. Well… look no further. You’ve found your lipstick. Advertised as GLUTEN FREE-SOY FREE-PARABEN FREE-CORN FREE-GMO FREE- VEGAN. Wowie kazowie! Gluten, soy, and corn are the 3 most genetically modified “food products” that are used in today’s cosmetics (and food, duh). I was HIGHLY impressed that RAL is SO “allergy friendly” and that they shout it from the mountain tops! Yippee. No guess work, love it, I’ve got shit to do other than checking and double checking if products are safe for me to use. Just label your products! And they do!

Packaging:

Pretty pretty packaging! Not too girly (I mean you are already buying lipstick…) but you still feel like a princess when you open your package. My order came in an envelope sleeve. Everything was wrapped in a fun, bright green tissue paper with a RED APPLE LIPSTICK STICKER! (Wooo branding!) Within a cloth drawstring pouch printed with… RED APPLE LIPSTICK in the same bright green. (You won’t forget the name and it will get them business… so like I said… 5 gold stars. ) The samples I received inside: Petal Pusher (mini pod), Audrey (full sized lipstick), and the infamous Rallye Balm (also full sized. The full sized were in your typical black lipstick tube case or whatever its called. Very simple. Oh and it said Red Apple Lipstick down the side of both… Haha

Petal Pusher (Mini pod): There is a generous amount in this little “pod”. It will get me a long way…but I was disappointed that it was so difficult to remove the sticker to get inside. I had to be very careful not to dip my finger into the lipstick and ended up just using tweezers. (As you can see below.)

When I tried this lipstick on I loved it. Its such a happy color. I have difficult choosing the right shade of lipstick. I am pale with pink undertones and have auburn hair with blue eyes. Some pinks make my face look pink all over or are too pale for my pale skin. Some are too red for my red hair. Its a delicate balance. This was perfect. It brightened my cheeks but not too much and it was suitable for a day look or for a fun date night. If you wore a dark smokey eye you could wear it to the club. Womp womp.

This is Petal Pusher swatched. I used a brush to apply to lips. It has a nice glossy finish and is just a nice happy pink to have. Your mom will love it, your partner will love it, your cat will LOVE IT.  Purrrrrfecto.

Rallye Balm:

It has been highly praised as a gluten free, soy free, paraben free, corn free, GMO free, and vegan lip balm. I loved this balm. (I dropped that 2x for fun) It is fun having a chapstick in a lipstick tube (makes me feel like a Bond girl!) and it works so well. The problem I have had with many chapsticks is they leave “goop” behind. I just want a light sheer sheen that moisturizes. Not a thick layer of waxy…goop. This did the trick! It did not irritate my sensitive skin and my lips feel great while wearing and even after! I didn’t swatch it because ITS A CLEAR BALM HELLLOOOOOOOOO.

Audrey Lipstick (full sized): BOOM LIPSTICK! I would describe this as a pink dusty rose! As with all Red Apple Lipsticks it can be applied in layers for a more sheer look or full coverage lipstick. I actually found this was ALMOST a dupe for Nars Dolce Vita but I liked this color BETTER. (Dolce Vita is Nars top rated lipstick) It just has the perfect pop more color. Here they are compared. The Nars Dolce Vita is on the left and the Red Apple Lipstick’s Audrey is on the right. Swatched. I just love Audrey. I like that it is more pink but still can be worn sheen for a “no lipstick look”. Also… Look at that vein. Beautiful, blue, and ready to donate blood! (Now you can tell how pale I am. Basically see through…)

*Overall opinion:

I have to say I am a big fan. I think the lipsticks are creamy and feel nice on the lips. The color payoff is awesome. The shipping is fast, packaging makes you feel like you are opening a gift when you receive it, the product works well and the color selection is IMMENSE. The balm is wonderful and improves the texture of your lips. I will definitely be ordering more… SO MANY COLORS TO CHOOSE FROM!
