besides me being a fashion bombshell, even in the midst of wwii, the jacket was nice and warm and full of pockets. which is always a nice thing when you have to literally carry everything you need with you everywhere you go.
but on top of that, i grew up with tiny pre-human-lab-rat steve. among a very long list of medical issues which fueled his must-punch-everything attitude, steve was colorblind. (in a very typically steve move, he decided to become an artist, despite not being able to see half the colors out there.)
the modern term for what he was is ‘protanopia’ which is a type of red-green colorblindness which meant his ability to see the color red was not so great. pretty much everything in the red spectrum got toned down to taupes and greys, and yellows and greens were kinda muted. but his ability to see the color blue was basically unimpaired, so blue things stood out in his field of vision. back in the day, i wore a lot of blue because it was easier for steve to spot, and somewhere along the line it just kinda became my favorite color, and i tended to pick blue clothes out of habit.
these days steve’s favorite color is red, just for the novelty of being able to see it.
Thunderclan cats are mainly black tabbies, torbies, red or solid black. Most common pattern is classic or mackerel, although ticked isn’t unusual either. White cats are rare (white in general). Silver/smoke cats are very rare and almost non-existent in pure TC cats.
Riverclan cats are the biggest carriers of the silver gene. Silver tabbies and smoke cats are the most common, with colors including black, blue and chocolate. White is considered very beautiful in riverclan and is pretty common. Spotted or classic tabbies are the most common pattern.
Shadowclan cats are torties and dark tabbies. Again, like TC, white is very rare and not exactly desired. Tabby pattern is extremely varied, and tortie cats are considered pretty. Silver tabbies are rare, but smoke cats are not unheard of. Colors are mainly red, black, and chocolate. Pale colored cats are uncommon.
Windclan cats carry the rarest colors. Lilac, Fawn and Cinnamon are common as well as the silver gene, and they are the only clan to have shown Caramel or Apricot cats. Black or blue tabbies are rare, and most cats are spotted or ticked tabbies. White is ok, but it’s not the most desired trait a cat can have, and solid colored cats are rare. Cats with long legs and handsome faces are considered attractive, not so much emphasis put on their coat color.
The dream chooses the dreamer, not the other way around—and Lazlo Strange, war orphan and junior librarian, has always feared that his dream chose poorly. Since he was five years old he’s been obsessed with the mythic lost city of Weep, but it would take someone bolder than he to cross half the world in search of it. Then a stunning opportunity presents itself, in the person of a hero called the Godslayer and a band of legendary warriors, and he has to seize his chance or lose his dream forever.
What happened in Weep two hundred years ago to cut it off from the rest of the world? What exactly did the Godslayer slay that went by the name of god? And what is the mysterious problem he now seeks help in solving?
The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it, no paper notices plastered on lampposts and billboards. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within these nocturnal black-and-white striped tents awaits an utterly unique, a feast for the senses, where one can get lost in a maze of clouds, meander through a lush garden made of ice, stare in wonderment as the tattooed contortionist folds herself into a small glass box, and become deliciously tipsy from the scents of caramel and cinnamon that waft through the air.
The Second Civil War was fought over reproductive rights. The chilling resolution: Life is inviolable from the moment of conception until age thirteen. Between the ages of thirteen and eighteen, however, parents can have their child “unwound,” whereby all of the child’s organs are transplanted into different donors, so life doesn’t technically end. Connor is too difficult for his parents to control. Risa, a ward of the state, is not enough to be kept alive. And Lev is a tithe, a child conceived and raised to be unwound. Together, they may have a chance to escape and to survive.
Sixteen-year-old Cinder is considered a technological mistake by most of society and a burden by her stepmother. Being cyborg does have its benefits, though: Cinder’s brain interference has given her an uncanny ability to fix things (robots, hovers, her own malfunctioning parts), making her the best mechanic in New Beijing. This reputation brings Prince Kai himself to her weekly market booth, needing her to repair a broken android before the annual ball. He jokingly calls it “a matter of national security,” but Cinder suspects it’s more serious than he’s letting on.

Dragon Personalities (Not All Chromatic Dragons Are Evil...)
All dragons in Dungeons & Dragons are depicted as intelligent beings, and most of them exceedingly so…
Dragon personality varies from dragon to dragon, but dragons of the same subrace tend to have similar mindsets.
This is not always true; several exceptions exist in official D&D material. In the Forgotten Realms a good-aligned red dragon is involved against his will in the Fall of the elf city of Myth Drannor.
Dragon subraces encompass all D&D alignments, going from lawful good paladin-like gold dragons to the cruel and very greedy chaotic evil red dragons.
All dragons share a common desire to collect treasure, be it precious, beautiful, magical or just shiny - indeed, the treasure in question needn’t always be gold, and may sometimes be aesthetic in nature, ranging from popular artwork or sculptures or even rare books and tomes that might otherwise have an overwhelming monetary value.
For evil-aligned dragons, this generally directs a greedy attitude to achieve such wealth by whatever means suit them.
For good dragons this lust for treasure is tempered, although they are certainly not averse to earning such wealth, and still appreciate gifts (while being insulted if offered an obvious bribe).
Being stronger, faster, generally smarter, and possessing longer life than humans and most other races, dragons tend to consider themselves superior creatures.
For good-aligned dragons, this may only mean they often consider humanoid races as children, trying to take care of them and educate them; for evil-aligned dragons, they consider humanoids as mere animals, or as toys to play with; at best, they are minions and slaves.
The longevity of dragons is evident in their often lackadaisical attitudes.
Good-aligned dragons, while concerned with defeating evil, are able to see a much broader scope of the world, and although certain crises arise that may seem extremely important to good-aligned humans, their dragon counterparts are able to see the event as an unimportant hiccup that will pass in mere centuries; even those that adventure with others tend show a sense of incredible patience, even in situations where all others feel they’ve not a second to lose.
Similarly, evil-aligned dragons that are crossed by belligerent adventurers may plot for dozens of generations before exacting revenge on the trespasser’s line - it is not uncommon for those descended from the mentioned adventurer to find themselves the target of a dragon based simply on their lineage.
“N-N-N-No!” Sirius warned, glaring at the black cat who sat out of his reach above the fireplace where an antique vase was.
He had agreed to watch over (Y/n) who was an animagus like him while the boys looked for an antidote, thinking she was experiencing trouble from transforming back into a human when in fact, she was just tired of putting up with people. She had done this before but the prolonged hours of staying in her animagus form had pushed the four boys into thinking she was stuck and was showing signs she needed help. Obviously, she was enjoying every bit of seeing them panic around the dorm but she was not expecting Sirius to volunteer in watching over her by himself especially when his animagus was a dog. Nonetheless, she kept things “fun” by teasing him and running out of his reach while knocking down vases.
The black cat looked down on him with a smug look on her face, challenging him to take a step closer.
“No, don’t you dare, (Y/n)! I know you can understand me,” Sirius said, her paw touching the vase threateningly. The suspense was killing him and although he was ready to catch the vase if (or when) it falls, he was more worried that she might get hurt once it shatters. He stepped away carefully and sighed, extracting his wand from his back pocket.
“Either we do this the easy way or the hard way,” he said calmly but the cat only hissed at him. “Alright! You’ve pushed me! Accio-”
But before he could finish the spell, (Y/n) swatted the vase at him and dashed somewhere in the common room, hiding under the couch. Sirius caught the vase in time before it had hit the floor, his wand between his teeth.
“Fucking cat…” he mumbled as he settled the vase back on the ground safely and started looking around for any sign of his feline friend.
“Here, kitty, kitty,” he called but there was still no sign of her. His mind was boggled with ideas on where she could’ve hidden underneath when he had a brilliant idea.
“Should’ve thought of this sooner,” he smirked before transforming into a large, black dog. It took a while for him to fully form since he was just beginning to get the hang of it but once he stretched his body into its new figure, he relaxed and began to sniff the air. His senses were completely overwhelmed by what he could smell and less of what he can see. Everything was exactly the same but he could barely see proper colors as he looked around the room.
He focused more on finding (Y/n) instead of comparing too much and so he sniffed every couch, table, and corner until he caught a smell that was all too familiar. He stopped at the red couch where he would often sit by the window and looked underneath.
(Y/n) hissed at him and squeezed to the farthest back where he could not get her. Sirius did not understand why she was being very hard-headed. Nonetheless, he transformed back into himself and stretched his hand under the couch.
“C'mere, you…” he said before finally managing to get a grab at the scruff of her neck, pulling her safely into his arms.
The cat did not surprisingly fight back as he carried her to the couch, keeping his hold on her tight just in case she decided to bounce off again. Sirius sighed exhaustedly before sitting down comfortably on the soft cushion. He stroked her black fur and gave her a bit of space, allowing her to rest on his chest, purring loud.
“They’ll be back, don’t worry,” he said, placing a soft kiss on top of her head. “In the mean time, why don’t you take a nap?”
(Y/n) blinked at him slowly and kneaded his chest with her paws, hoping he knew what she was trying to say. For some reason, ever since she could transform, she somehow knew how to show her affection in ways only a cat would know. Not that she hadn’t attempted before, of course. As a human, she had always liked Sirius but she was scared he might not accept her the way she did with him. Remaining friends was the only option even though she was not satisfied with it. Closing her eyes, she listened to his steady heartbeat and tried not to fall asleep as he talked.
“You’re quite the stubborn cat, you know?” He said, looking up at the red ceiling of the common room, “Not much of a difference, really.”
Say something more!
“I’ve always liked that about you, (Y/n). Always refusing to rest, always wanting to help out people without thinking of yourself…You’ll be the death of me,” he chuckled softly as he went on, “But you know what I like the most about you?”
The black cat blinked.
“Your compassion. I’ve screwed up for than once and yet here you are, waiting for me…I honestly don’t know if you’re permanently a cat now but I don’t mind keeping you.”
Wait, what? Keep me?
Sirius smiled softly at the cat who stared at him with wide, green eyes before he broke away from his trance-like confession.
“Oh Merlin, I’m losing my mind…You can’t possibly stay like this forever. We need to get you back. I need to get you back. I reckon Professor McGonagall has some books about situations like this. Hopefully, she won’t suspect a thing…”
No! Don’t bring me to her! This has gone too far!
Sirius stood up with her in his arms as he waited for his friends and just as he heard the heavy footsteps approaching, (Y/n) suddenly shifted into her human form, legs wrapped around his waist. Her hands rested on his shoulder while he stared at her, completely shocked but still managing to keep his grip on her bare thighs. She was dressed in his oversized black coat and a smirk was on her lips.
“Hi,” she said innocently and that’s when he pressed his lips against hers, kissing her sweetly. It was her turn to feel shocked. She had not expected to him to love her back this much but now that it was definitely happening, she did not hesitate to kiss him back. Sirius smiled through the kiss before they finally pulled away.
“Hello to you too,” he said happily, brushing her hair over her ear in order to see that smile he fell so in love with.
“Sirius! We found it! We found the antido- WHAT,” James exclaimed at the sight of (Y/n) who was still clinging onto Sirius with a nervous chuckle. Remus shook his head at them while Peter bounced happily on his feet.
“I should’ve seen this coming…” Remus muttered.
“Hooray! Great job, Sirius!” Peter cheered.
However, the three of them had now set their eyes on (Y/n)’s legs, confusion written all over their faces which Sirius was quick to catch on but he did not care to explain right now.
“Honestly, boys, do you mind?!” He barked protectively as he set (Y/n) down and covered her with his body.
“There wasn’t even anything to see.”
“Yup! Definitely nothing.”
“Oh, wow, look at the time! It’s annoy Snivellus time! Gotta run!”
The boys left as soon as possible, not wanting to see any more of that and risk getting hexed by the couple. (Y/n) turned to Sirius shortly after they had disappeared through the doorway, her fingers in his hair while his eyes looked at her lovingly.
“So, Hogsmeade on Saturday?” He asked.
“Of course, Sirius,” she replied, kissing him quick and light.
He returned the gesture eagerly and leaned in close to her ear afterwards before he whispered, his voice now heavy with lust.
“Oh, and about that vase? I ought to punish you for that.”
(Y/n) smirked at this and the two raced back to his room, locking the door with numerous spells to avoid anyone from interrupting them again.
summary: Some people fall in love the moment they meet each other’s eyes. Some fall in love when they least expect it. But for you and Chris, you had literally fallen in love with this man.

“Y/N, I want to see anger, please! Your mad, frustrated. Give him everything! Chris, I know you don’t want to but push it, push her, fight her. She’s betrayed you. Let’s roll, don’t stop till I say, alright? GO!”
I threw the first punch, letting the sound of my fist fill the stadium’s hollow walls. He took a swift blow to my stomach to which I went with a 360 hit on the side. We both knew our next moves, we’ve rehearsed this for two weeks. I knew his next move was a punch to the face that sent me to the ground, to which I blew him away. I just didn’t know that the punch was actually going to take place. I must’ve moved, that must’ve been the case. No other reason could explain the punch but it hurt like a son of a bitch.
Chris had moved out, getting himself out of my attack and then stepped back, taking one brief second before taking the swing, which sent me to the ground, in literal tears. He knew, the moment his knuckles hit my cheek that he had accidentally made contact with my face. “YN!” I thought I heard Anthony yell cut far off in the distance, but everything sounded so fuzzy. I felt Chris’ hand on my own that covered my face and I heard someone screaming for a bus, but couldn’t make sense of the term in the moment.
“YN, baby, please look up. YN, oh god, oh god what have I done? Fuck! YN, please baby.” I used all my strength and mental compacity to make my body move around just a little so Chris would know I was still alive, just very stunned.
“BACK UP! FUCKIN’ BACK UP!” I slowly opened my already swollen eye and was greeted to my boyfriend, in tears.
“Chris? Chris? W-w-what. What’s going on?” I started to panic with the look on his face, he looked so..scared. What was so scary about my face?
“Chris?” It didn’t make sense. Why are people were touching me? Grabbing at me? Crowding around asking me weird questions?
“YN, oh my god. I’m so sorry, I-I-I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry. I’m so s-s-sorry.” I gave him a gentle smile but quickly had my attention diverted to our security guard coming up with the Emergency Care men.
“Ok, YN can you get up? We’re gonna have you go get checked out at the hospital, okay? Can you get up?” I muttered a yes and with the help of Sebastian and Mackie, I got to my feet, wobbling slightly.
“Miss, do you know what happened?” I nodded, looking around the room, getting used my surroundings that I had suddenly forgotten were there,“Yeah, yeah. I’m just… dazed almost. Sorry. Um, I’m fine! It’s all good, thank you, everyone.”
I looked down and saw him standing next to a pool of blood, hands burrowed in his hair, tears dripping down his nose. I saw one of the producers kneeling down next to Chris, trying to calm him down. Walking over, I held my empty hand out to him, and he looked up slowly. Tears on his face falling like a river stream.
“Chris. Sweetheart,” My heart fell at the sight of the sorrow in those eyes that were as blue as a cloudless June sky. His watery eyes move to meet mine. His eyes held a harsh red, burning hatred for himself.
“Common, let’s go get me checked out, huh?” He sniffled, nodded softly while getting to his feet. Gripping my hand, he walked me out to the bus. Chris took a cloth I’d been handed and wiped off some of the blood that was creating a red stained river down my lips, chin, and neck.
“I still hate myself, ya know?” I sighed and looked up at Chris. I saw his face distorted in a wallowing self-anger and regret. “Well I don’t, and neither should you. I moved, it’s my fault anyway!”
He shook his head, pinching the bridge of his nose, trying to keep the tears in.
“No. No, it’s fuckin’ not. Because I’m supposed to take care of you, and what did I do? Cause you severe pain! Like god damn it, come on! I should’ve backed up! The fact that I caused you pain…it kills me.”
I smiled at his words and scooted over on the couch, patting a spot for him to take next to me. Taking his hands, I pulled them onto my lap, putting my own on top of them, as if I was keeping them from leaving.
“Christopher Robert Evans, you look at me right now.” Slowly but surely he pulled up his foggy eyes. “I know that you think this is your fault, and maybe it is but the fact that you are killing yourself over it makes you the best man in the world. You are the sweetest, kindest, most loving man I know. You make my day instantly better when I can see you smile, see you happy. You love without conditions and that’s why… I am in love with you.” Chris’s eyes froze, and I panicked. Oh no, it’s too soon.
It’s too soon, he doesn’t lo- “Thank god. Because I’ve been fuckin’ in love with you since the day we met.” I felt the biggest smile spread on my face and tears fall down my cheeks from my misty eyes. “G-good.”
I couldn’t control the sob that fell from my lips and the kiss that landed on his. Chris deepened the kiss and let his hands move to my hips, pulling me onto his lap. I fit into his stature perfectly.
His lips moved with mine and pulled me into him like an ocean’s current. Letting me go just a little, only to pull me back towards him with a stronger force. I needed oxygen by now so I pulled out.
Breathless, my voice came out as a whisper. “Do you forgive yourself now?”
He smiled and nodded, “Only because I’ve just confessed my biggest secret to you.”

A/N OKAY, this is something I spent a lot of time writing, and actually got detention because I was writing part of it during an EXTREMELY BORING history class, so I really hope you like it!
(Y/N) woke up into the night. The attacks were getting more frequent each day, and so were her nightmares. Sitting up and resting her head on the headboard of her bed, acknowledging the fact that she wouldn’t be going to sleep anytime soon, she grudgingly got out of bed dragging her blanket with her, and headed downstairs to the golden and red common room.
She threw herself on the couch opposite the fireplace. With a flick of her wand, a roaring fire appeared in it. She covered herself with the blanket, also covering her nearly bare feet. She was only wearing a pair of shorts and a shirt that belong to her best friend since third year, Sirius Black. Although his scent still lingered off of the shirt and provided some comfort, it wasn’t enough to help her fall back asleep. She shifted on the couch, so that her face reflected the light of the fire as she stared absent mindlessly into the fireplace.
Sirius Black woke up in the middle of the night due to a noise that came from downstairs. After multiple attempts to fall asleep, he gave up and headed towards the common room.
He had reached the top of the staircase when the light coming from downstairs made him wince. Once his ayes adjusted to the light, he saw his best friend, (Y/N) Lawson lying on t he couch.
“Couldn’t sleep, Lawson?” he asked
(Y/N) turned upon hearing her friend’s voice, seeing him descend the stairs half naked. He wasn’t wearing a shirt, revealing a toned chest and a more-than-generous six-pack.
“Like what you see?” he asked, a smirk already finding itself on his face
“don’t flatter yourself Black, and no, I couldn’t sleep” she stated, and then, so silently so that he couldn’t hear “the nightmares are getting worse”
But he heard. The smirk immediately disappeared from his face, turning into a frown. She sat upright, making space for her friend to sit besides her. He placed a hand around her shoulders, and she rested her head on the crook of his neck.
“How bad?” he sighed
She hesitated a bit before deciding to tell him
“I dream of… attacks… everywhere. We’re on the train, when suddenly a group of Death Eaters march in, heading straight for our compartment.
Sirius sighed, (Y/N)’s parents are muggles, putting (Y/N) in great danger.
“they grab me” (Y/N) continued “use the cruciatus curse on me, torture me until I’m practically begging for death. Then, they kill me, slowly. The rest of you just sat there chatting, like you couldn’t see, or hear m, or you just didn’t care.”
(Y/N) hadn’t realized she had started crying.
Sirius hugged her, pulling her even closer to him. His heart broke seeing her like this. (Y/N) was normally such a happy person. But ever since Voldermort had started gaining more power and followers, the mischievous glint behind her eyes was nearly gone.
But that last statement had really shocked him ‘or you just didn’t care’ what the hell was she even talking about? Placing a hand under her chin, he gently pushed it upwards so that he was looking directly into her eyes.
“(Y/N) Lawson, you listen to me, and you listen to me good. You have been one of my best friends-if not my best- since third year. And being so close to me means that all James, Remus and Peter care deeply about you”he paused, not knowing how to continue “Remember in out fifth year, when that Ravenclaw broke your heart?”
“Yeah..” she chuckled a bit despite the situation “you punched him, breaking his nose, James hexed him into puking birds for a little over a month and Remus, given his prefect status, gave him detention for a good two months.”
“Exactly! So don’t you ever think, not even for a second, that the four out of five marauders would abandon the fifth one during a death eater attack”
These words brought new tears to (Y/N)’s eyes, tears of happiness. Something about knowing that she had friends that would go to such lengths to protect her, and that one of them was Sirius Black, made her feel all warm, despite the chilly weather of February.
Because, although she hated to admit it, she had developed a slightpretty big big crush on her friend.
Sirius was watching his friend, ‘more than a friend’ he thought with a chuckle, closely. He had to admit that she was perfect. Her big, (Y/H/C) locks that framed her beautiful face perfectly, her big, (Y/E/C) almond shaped eyes filled with curiosity and mischief, her full, yet not too thick, lips that were just teasing him, her tiny waist…
But, contrary to common belief, it was her personality that made him fall for her. She had a strong personality, that’s how they became friends. The marauders had pranked (Y/N) and the rest of the girls, charming the shower heads into turning whoever used them red with gold polka dots, the Gryffindor house colors. (Y/N), after removing the color with a simple spell, had managed to get them back by doing the same thing to them, with the sole difference that whoever showered using them, would be turned bright, vibrant, glow-in-the-dark, PINK. And the four boys were stuck like that fro a week and a half until, finally, Madame Pomfrey managed to find the antidote that would turn them back to normal. She was the first, and the last, person to have ever out-pranked them, and he admired her for that.
She fell asleep on the couch, cuddled next to him. He watched her for a little while, admiring her, admiring her beauty and her strong personality…
Sirius Black fell asleep with only one thought on his mind, he was in love with (Y/N) Lawson.
AHHHHH! HOW DID YOU GUYS LIKE IT? please leave feedback, follow me etc. etc.
A common myth perpetrated by the mainstream media is that mass shootings are committed overwhelmingly by white males. While the majority of shootings that are reported are commonly attributed to white men, shootings committed by racial minorities DO happen, and are tragically on the rise.
Jeffrey James Weise - known in life as ‘Jeff’ - was an Ojibwe Indian born on the Red Lake reservation in 1988. His parents were poor and unmarried, and baby Jeff was regularly traded between his mother and father as a young boy. He was a big child for his age, and didnt mix well with other children; Jeff wrote later as a teenager that he endured terrible bullying as a child, where other kids would call him names like “redskin” and “lardass”. When Jeff was only eight years old, his father committed suicide after a three day standoff with police. Just two years later his mother would be severely brain damaged after being in a car accident. Jeff was forced to leave Minneapolis (where he had lived practically his entire life) to live with his grandfather, Darryl Lussier (who was an active police officer) in Red Lake, Minnesota. He was thirteen when he was enrolled in Red Lake High.
Though Jeff enjoyed a more stable home life, the bullying at school intensified; students would tease him about his size and weight (by age sixteen Weise would stand over six feet and weigh 250 pounds) and because he frequently wore black. As he entered puberty Jeff started acting out in class and exhibited emotional problems, yet never turned violent or aggressive. One girl even described Jeff as “sweet and trustworthy” and teachers noted his talent in drawing and writing.
At age fourteen Jeff attempted to kill himself on two separate occasions, and after the second attempt he was hospitalised and put on a high dosage of Prozac. It was around this time that he expressed interest in Nazism, and even joined the Nazi Party. Jeff spent hours on his home computer writing essays on the collapse of the American Indian nation and creating crude animations featuring extreme violence. At school he became sullen and withdrawn and even snapped the Nazi salute at his teachers.
On March 21, 2005 - at the age of sixteen - Jeff Weise snapped. He grabbed an illegally procured pistol from his bedroom and shot dead his grandfather, Daryl Lussier, as he slept. He also shot Lussier’s girlfriend with the dead man’s police issue shotgun, and stole his grandfathers car. Before entering Red Lake High Jeff put on a heavy black overcoat and hid two pistols and the shotgun beneath it. A security guard who held open the front door for him was killed instantly, and Weise proceeded to randomly shoot at anyone he saw in the front corridor. A teacher who heard the first shots locked her children in the classroom and came out to confront Weise; he shot her dead. Three students who rushed at him were also fatally shot, and two more were killed as they huddled in a utility closet. Throughout the shooting Weise was observed laughing, and even called out the names of students running away from him. Weise made weak attempts to open classrooms by threatening the children within, but didnt try to force his way in.
Soon after Weise killed the security guard a teacher pushed a panic button in the school library; within minutes Red Lake High was surrounded by police officers. Weise attempted to fight off police but was injured in his hip and leg. As armed officers pressed forward Weise managed to crawl into an empty room, where he committed suicide with his grandfathers shotgun. Overall, nine people were dead or dying, and five others had sustained injuries.
The Jeffrey Weise case has prompted a call for reform in the psychiatric system in regards to giving children medication. Weise’s actions have been partially blamed on the easy availability of anti-depressants as well as the negative influence of internet culture. Weise was a regular user of internet chat rooms and several profiles were discovered after his death that outlined his emotional disturbances and violent thoughts towards his peers.
Wild Speculation Wishlist: Amonkhet Gods, Colors, and Creature Types
OK, so my Wild Speculation Wishlist for Amonkhet basically boils down to three main categories, which I’ll list off in just a second, and then I’ll get into some specifics.
Keep in mind that I’m not trying to convince anyone that my speculations here are correct (I’ll leave others to making realistic and reserved predictions) but these are things that I think would be cool, and that I could see as possibilities not outside the realm of plausible.
OK, so everything below hinges on these three wishlist items:
Five factions built around the three-color shards
My main reasoning for believing this is plausible is the fact that we know Nicol Bolas is going to show up at some point, and I would be VERY surprised if he isn’t in his signature blue/black/red color identity. If Bolas is already going to push players to build around three colors, why not include the other four shards in the design as well? (Plus, it’s been almost a decade since we left Alara.)
Two-color themes built around the ally-color pairs
If there’s one design lesson I learned from the Tarkir block, it’s that designing wedge factions means that experienced players will want to draft enemy-color pairs, because that gives them the most flexibility to go with one wedge or the other, depending how the draft goes. Maro has also stated in the past that there’s not as much design space in the three-color shards as Alara gave the impression of. Putting some of that pressure back on ally-color pairs could take some of it off the shards.
Tribal themes with anthropomorphic animal creature types
In all fairness, my love for tribal-themed decks means that I could add “tribal themes” to just about any Wild Speculation Wishlist, and for those of you that have been around my blog for a while, you’ll know that I’ve been dreaming about an anthropomorphic tribal set for a long time. But that’s not to say this idea doesn’t have ANY merit beyond just wishful thinking. We’ve already seen some art that suggests there are at probably Aven and some jackal-variant of Ainok on Amonkhet. And it looks like each of the gods have animal faces, so this could be the time!!
OK, so with those three main categories acknowledged, I’m gonna break down my speculation into some more specifics. I’ll break these into groups using the primary color of the factions tying them together, and I’ll say the god, theme, common creature type, and rare creature I’d love to see for that faction.
Cat God Colors: White (primary) Green (secondary) Blue (tertiary) God of Sight, with white representing light and truth, green representing knowledge of the past, and blue representing knowledge of the future
Common Creature Type: Cats (leonin) Primary in white, secondary in green
Rare Creature: An all-seeing Archon in White/Green
Bird God Colors: Blue (primary) White (secondary) Black (tertiary) God of Judgement, with blue representing exactness, white representing order, and black representing retribution
Common Creature Type: Birds (aven) Primary in blue, secondary in white
Rare Creature: Classic Sphinx in Blue/White
Crocodile God Colors: Black (primary) Blue (secondary) Red (tertiary) God of Hunger, with black representing avarice, blue representing thirst for knowledge, and red representing passion and hunger
Common Creature Type: Crocodiles (new race) Primary in black, secondary in blue
Rare Creature: Nightmarish Demon in Black/Blue (maybe Razaketh?)
Hound God Colors: Red (primary) Black (secondary) Green (tertiary) God of Journeys, with red representing individuality and courage, black representing determination, and green representing destiny
Common Creature Type: Hound (jackal-variant ainok) Primary in red, secondary in black
Rare Creature: Crocodile-like Dragon in Red/Black
Snake God Colors: Green (primary) Red (secondary) White (tertiary) God of Fertility, with green representing vitality and growth, red representing love, and white representing life
Common Creature Type: Snakes (more like the naga than the orochi though) Primary in green, secondary in red
Rare Creature: Cobra-headed Hydra in Green/Red
WHEW!! OK, that was a lot to unpack. If you’re still here with me, let me know what you think! Obviously I don’t expect to be 100% right with these guesses, but honestly I’d be happy with 10% right!
How about you?! Any of these predictions you’d like to see show up in Amonkhet?
is it too early to ask if you have any headcanons on how yousef and mikael met/fell in love/first kisses etc? because i swear we've only had two photos and i'm so gone for these boys already!!!
Please keep in my mind I only woke up a bit ago and it’s a Saturday morning and it’s currently raining outside and I’m tucked up warm in my bed so things will be all hazy and fluffy and warm and cosy AND HERE WE GO:
So, the first time Mikael and Yousef properly, properly, interact with one another is when they get paired up by a teacher at random to do a project together. Even was super upset because “Mikael’s my best friend come on EVERYONE knows this we work so well together?!” but Mikael convinces him that it’s alright, and as soon as this is all over, they can make up for lost time.
So, they’re paired up, and … well, they both don’t really … know each other, that well? Yes they’re in the same class but Mikael’s always been best friends with Even, and it’s always been Even and Mikael together only, no one else. Even if they both, Mikael and Yousef, are Muslims, that doesn’t automatically mean they’ll hang together, kinda thing. Mikael’s the kinda guy who only keeps a few close friends, but is very VERY good friends with them.
And besides, Yousef is loud whereas Mikael is quite. Yousef has a whole squad, whereas Mikael just has Even. Yousef loves sports whereas Mikael loves books. They’re very … different people, with different interests.
But they get paired up, and well, even though they /know/ each other’s names, Mikael still says “Hey, I’m Mikael”.
Yousef doesn’t reply, not at first anyway. He just takes Mikael in with a neutral expression on his face. Mikael, who’s stood in front of him, who’s smiling at him, nervously.
Summary:Starfire and Robin are officially an item, but what does that mean when the resident empath is stuck living between their respective bedrooms? Finding a new bunk buddy in Beast Boy was certainly not her first choice, and when she engages in a strange, night time activity, how long before the changeling notices what she’s up to?
The Titans were happy for Robin and Starfire.
It had been a long, long time coming, after all. The couple had been dancing around one another for as long as anyone could remember, neither ever bold enough to act on their genuine feelings for each other. Robin had been too thick headed, and Starfire apparently too subtle and unsure. So, when they had finally established their new, romantic relationship, every other Titan had been thrilled with the news.
That is, until their incessant romping sessions.
No one could blame them; something vague about teenagers, hormones, and pent up sexual frustration while living in close quarters. Not to mention, the bubbling sexual tension that had finally culminated into one hot, passionate affair after all those years. It was well earned, well deserved, and perfectly understandable that both the Titans leader and the alien beauty couldn’t keep their hands off each other. Once they’d tasted that forbidden fruit, it was near impossible to go back to anything else.
When the ‘sleepovers’ grew in frequency, and often throughout the wee hours of the early morning, the other Titans put up with it. They dealt with the lust filled cries, the sound of the creaking bedframe, of the steady banging against the thin walls while the mattress springs squeaked beneath their weight. It was all sweet in the beginning, and it was always nice to see the usually tense boy wonder unwind and relax after spending a relaxing evening with his girlfriend.
