recover for yourself

Commit yourself for two weeks, and then you will start seeing the results you long to see. Commit yourself for a month and you will start loving what you are doing, who you are becoming, and how you strive. Commit yourself for two months, others will believe you, they will see how you work, how you live, how you feel, and they too will want you to do well. Commit yourself for six months, and you will have been through it all, you will have enough knowledge to succeed.

When your mind begins to fall off track, handle it delicately. Be careful when it begins to think irrational thoughts, for it is then when we become the most vulnerable to our greatest fears.
When people say “recovery”, you typically think of returning to how you were before your illness. But there is no going back. You do not merely recover, but reinvent yourself. You become something completely different from what you were before.
Don’t rush yourself. Give yourself the time you need to heal. Then, continue once you’ve regained your strength, and feel ready. Don’t be rushed. You have time.

It’s absolutely amazing we each have that one thing, or couple of things, that we completely fall in love with doing. If it’s art, writing, soccer, or whatever it may be, we just genuinely love it. The important thing is though, that you can’t let it turn into a chore. Let it blossom at its own pace as supposed to trying to speed it up past its time. Love what you do, and do it simply because of that.

I just want to remember everything. I don’t care if remembering more stuff hurts. It bugs me so much knowing more might have happened to me than I am remembering

Speak softly to yourself, for frustration can often only draw you backwards, and does nothing to change the situation itself. You deserve kind words. You deserve respect. So, give it to yourself.
