Hotarubi no Mori e, Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine, 2011;  Aso-Takamori, Kumamoto prefecture, 18 April 2016

While Natsume Yuujinchou has been my favourite work from Yuki Midorikawa for many years now, I consider Hotarubi no Mori e the chrysalis that started it all.  And far as exploring Japan’s power spots go, Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine  (上色見熊野座神社)  has fascinated me enough to give Mount Aso a miss and divert my travel plans down a less beaten path.

50 YEARS FROM NOW: “Why can’t we just use good old-fashioned computers? These new-fangled neural nanofibres are the worst thing ever.”

100 YEARS FROM NOW: “I remember when my wife could take appointments over neural nanofibre link, now it’s all quantum-tangled interstices.”

10,000 STELLAR MEGA-CYLES FROM NOW: “Wife-pod 0110 once took/received appointments on quantum-entangled neuronal technopathic linkage with habitat systems. Now being instructed/told to use multiphase ascended group overmind. Broken Space Britain, is what it is.”

Hey Sam! A wedding my friend recently made the cake for did a Food Truck dinner. The couple hired a bunch of food trucks, had them park in a circle around picnic tables, and people ordered whatever they wanted from the Truck's special limited menu (the couple paid for everything eaten after, not a pre-pay, so there was no wasted plates or Too Much Food for the crowd). I am now imagining War on Hunger, Potato Rescue, and TOBus trucking a wedding. Disaster or no? And who would make the cake?

Aw, that sounds like a lot of fun! And I like that they had the limited menu which means probably nobody ahd to stand in line.

Steve would love to Truck a wedding reception and he would drag Sam into it whether he wanted to or not, and even if not invited TruckBRU would just show up because that is how Tony Stark rolls. Show up, blow up, baby.

“Tony, that is the worst slogan ever.”

“No, blow up like, get big. And also blow up like, exploding jordan almonds.”

“There are children at this reception.”

“Don’t worry, I’m carding for the almonds.”

Steve doesn’t mess around with wedding cakes, he’d probably refer them to the Chaotic Neutral bakery staff, or Coulson if Chaotic Neutral was too pricey/busy.

Less than 2 months to go!

We just purchased my fiance’s suit today and major heart eyes, I tell you! Ted Baker, blue, and SO HANDSOME.

Now we just have the little stuff:

- Reception name cards (for table and meal information)
- Table runners
- Charger plates
- my headpiece (yet to find the one I want)
- His tie/pocket square
- Marriage license
- Handful of other tiny details

Sam x Reader
Warnings: None (slight dubcon, but not really, because the reader state’s she’s okay with it)

Your name: submit What is this?

“You can’t just text people and not tell me who you’re talking to,” Sam complained.

“I’ll think you’ll find I can,” you said, trying to wriggle out of his grasp, but his arms just tightened protectively around you.

“Where are you going?” he asked, his voice sounding hurt and confused.

You sighed, realising that there was no way of getting out of his tight embrace, so you just leaned back into him, enjoying the fresh, citrus scent of his shower gel.

“Nowhere,” you assured him, “I’m gonna be right here.”

“Good,” he smiled, nudging your hair bun with his nose, “I don’t think I’ve told you before, but do you realise how much I love you? Because it’s a lot.”

“I love you too,” you smiled, regretting that the only way you can say that is when you know he means platonically, “You’re a good guy, Sammy. You’ll make some girl really happy some day.”

“As long as that girl is you,” he whispered and your heart missed a beat, just as Dean came out of the motel’s reception holding three key-cards.
