Do you have any good fics you'd recommend? I feel like I've read all the big ones already!

i have a fic rec page you can check out and i try to reblog all the fics i like after i read them. i don’t know exactly what kind of fics ur looking for but i can list you some of the fics i’m currently reading

happy reading :)

Lately, I’ve been receiving a lot of messages asking about KnB blog recs so I decided to make a masterpost! I thought that it’d be more efficient if I gathered everyone into a masterpost for any other people who may be interested. Enjoy!~

♔ - 100% KnB ‖ ☆ - Multifandom

This is not a complete list though, and will be updated whenever I come across more! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧ Recommendations are always welcome!!

Fandom is still mostly screaming about AGE OF ULTRON and hasn’t settled enough to write a whole lot of fic yet, but I have found a few fics I’ve liked! I’m not going to separate these out as much as I usually do (by pairing or character or theme), at least not unless fandom suddenly shifts about two gears up, because I’m kind of all over the place and want different things. Basically, lots of character pieces and aftermath and fix-its and people smooshing their faces together! \o/

What The Post Credits Scene Should Have Been by neonheartbeat, thor & steve & tony, post-age of ultron, humor, ~1k
Foil Skin by HerenorThereNearnorFar, ultron & pietro & wanda, age of ultron, 3.1k
“They were made of the same stuff, the three of them, Ultron reminded himself.”
Heliocentrism by tismabel, pietro & wanda, age of ultron, ~1k
Wanda knew deep down that she was simply staying still so her brother would have something to keep him grounded, an earth to his spinning satellite.
Rough Day by ozhawk, aou cast & aos cast, age of ultron, 2.8k
“Rough… day.” Clint collapsed to lie beside the body of young Maximoff. He hurt. Like hell.
Run by SecondSilk, bruce/natasha, age of ultron, 1.4k
    Eventually, Natasha tracks Bruce down.
When It Matters by Fire_Sign, age of ultron, 1.7k
Officially, SHIELD is not looking for the Hulk. Natasha is, when she has the time, but that is strictly off the record. When Steve gives her a far too knowing look, she shrugs. He’s still chasing ghosts of his own.
Beyond The Horrors by amyfortuna, bruce/natasha + previous bruce/betty, age of ultron, 1.1k
Nat and Bruce work through what’s been left to them, to find a way beyond the horrors of their pasts and the horrors inside them, the missing and the broken parts.
Jumping the Uncanny Valley by Echo, tony & vision, age of ultron, 1.9k
Tony and Vision talk about AIs and paradoxes. And JARVIS.
melodies of life by ninemoons42, steve & sam & natasha & wanda & bucky, age of ultron, 1.7k
In the aftermath of Ultron’s rampage, Steve – and others – pick up the pieces. Even if that means going away for a while.

can you recommend any good ben/leslie fics?

Oh man, there are a lot out there, because this fandom is absurdly talented, but here are a few that immediately come to mind:

Where the Heart Is, by thecurlyginger - a lovely exploration/snapshots of Leslie’s mindset about Ben from when they first meet through season 5. It’s always nice to read some good pining/slow build fic, especially when it’s not AU and fleshes out what we already saw in canon. (Check out everything by this author, actually, but I think this one is my favorite and the most of a “comfort read”.)

And I Might Never Leave Again, by twentysomething - sometimes you just need to read a fluffy, au get-together type fic.

A Beautiful Mess, by cypanache - another au, this one less purely fluffy and more plotty. What if Ben had returned to Indianapolis after Harvest Festival? There are a lot of great fics with a similar premise, and this one is a classic. (This is another case where I highly recommend you check out everything by this author, but I think this is a great starting place.)

Only Time Will Tell, by shornt - Like the above, an au fic where Ben left in season 3. This branches off from “Fancy Party”, and I especially love what it does with the campaign. (At this point just consider it a given for every name that you should check out their other fic, because there’s a lot of great stuff.)

The Art of Looking For Trouble, by annakovsky and tearupthesky - I’m a gentle soul so I don’t generally go with anything even close to the “hate sex” realm, but I have a huge soft spot for Ben/Leslie’s dynamic in the first few episodes. Wonderfully in-character and funny and hot, set during 3x01.

it’s just the laws that make us bad, by irishmizzy - more great super early fic, set after “Freddy Spaghetti”.

a long, long journey to the capital city, by cereal - another early, classic fic, set post-”Freddy Spaghetti”.

Up and Over We Go, by Lexie - this is just as much of a Ben & April & Andy roommates fic as it is Ben/Leslie, but I just loved it too much not to include. It really feels like it could be a series of deleted scenes from the show.

Mistakes on the Part of Nature, by stillscape - really sweet, somewhat au established relationship fic. Ben finds out about all of the terrible ways Leslie’s been dumped and tries to counteract them with good memories.

…That ended up being a bit more than “a few”, and I know there’s a lot I’m leaving out. But hopefully this is a good list to go off of.

Friends? I’d Say Family (11,988 words) by mockturtletale

Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Suits (TV)
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Mike Ross/Harvey Specter
Characters: Harvey Specter, Mike Ross
Additional Tags: Kid fic
Summary: He’s maybe four or five, Mike would guess, and his hair is kind of long, side-swept but perfectly cut bangs that are almost falling into his eyes and his thick, dark hair just starting to curl below his ears. He is staring right back at Mike and his eyes are huge, but somehow don’t look out of place with his features, tiny button nose that is the cutest thing Mike has ever seen and a perpetually amused little smirk that is clearly a Specter trait. It’s far more endearing on a five year old. The kid speaks and Mike is mesmerised.

“…. Remind me to have Donna give you a key.”

“Do you have the trades?”

Mike produces the all important napkin and presents it to Harvey with a flourish, but before he can add the necessary “ta-da!” a thunderous crash from somewhere behind Harvey and to his right catches their attention.

Harvey’s eyes go wide and then he disappears back inside, leaving the door open for Mike to peer around and then step through to double check because surely he can’t really be seeing what he thought he saw.

But the sight remains the same and Mike very quickly tries to calculate just how much he’s had to drink tonight because Harvey is standing in the middle of his very spacious, very expensive looking kitchen helping what appears to be a small child clad in Charizard pyjamas down from where he seems to have pushed a chair up against the island to clamber on top and subsequently knock down a stack of saucepans, the lids of which are still spinning against the tiled floor.

“I just wanted a glass of water!” The child is indignant.

“Nice try, buddy. The glasses aren’t kept there. One more chance to confess and I’ll consider a lenient sentence, but keep holding out on me and I will cancel your play-date with Donna tomorrow.” Harvey is down on one knee, talking to the little boy more or less the same way he speaks to Mike and the sight sobers him immediately. When he leans against the door the creak it makes sees both Harvey and the kid turn their heads in unison in his direction, and the way they tilt their faces slightly and narrow their eyes at him, as if more bothered by his interruption than his presence in general, the way their hair is the exact same shade of rich brown and matched by the dark pooling umber irises of their eyes ……

“Mike, this is Garrison, my son. Garrison - Mike.”

And that’s .. the door creaks again under the full force of Mike’s weight.

Steggy Time Travel AU fic rec list

I was asked by amonkeypeedinbatteryacid to put together a rec list of Steggy Time Travel AUs, so here it is.  I feel like I’m missing some fics here because there are some in my head that I didn’t seem to find in my AO3 history, so if/when I do find them, I’ll update this.

Flames We Never Lit
Status: WIP
Rating: Teen Audiences
Summary: Peggy Carter is frozen in 1946 and awakened by SHIELD in 2012.
Notes: This is majorly a Peggy story, though Steggy is the main ship.  It is honestly one of the best Steggy stories I’ve read and I highly recommend it to anyone out there looking for a Time Travel AU Steggy fic!

Status: Complete
Rating: General Audiences
Summary: In the wake of the HYDRA revelations, Steve Rogers finds himself both a pawn of the rebuilding SHIELD hierarchy and the leader of a newly-independent Avengers. He’s got masters he can’t run from, teammates he can’t let down, and a best friend who is turning his newly remembered past to ashes. But when a blast from a mysterious device seemingly sends him back to 1944, Steve has to decide if he should he change his past and risk ruining his future by fixing his greatest mistake.
Notes: One of the first Time Travel fics I read that turned me on to this trope.

Point of View
Status: Complete
Rating: Teen Audiences
Summary: An 0-8-4 discovered by Team Coulson and left with Tony Stark has unexpected consequences and deadly ramifications.
Notes: Peggy, Howard, and Jarvis end up in the future.  Some nice Tony/Howard and Jarvis/JARVIS in addition to the Steggy.

Fast Cars and Slow Jazz series
Status: WIP
Rating: General Audiences - Mature depending on the part of the series
Summary: (part 4 summary since that is the Steve part but read it all, please!) Angie and Peggy have a pleasant vacation all planned out. Too bad they didn’t notice all the spies, assassins and one very, very dead, but suddenly very, very alive man were on the itinerary.
Notes: This is not a Steggy fic, it is a Cartinelli fic.  Steve doesn’t even enter the picture until part ¾ (part 3 is a fast forward to the present, part 4 is chronologically the next part of the story).  The author has it tagged as having the Steggy pairing, but it hasn’t really reached that point yet.  It is still one of my favourite fics and has been updated pretty frequently.

How the Bloody Hell is All of This Possible?
Status: WIP
Rating: Teen Audiences
Summary: Peggy and Daniel have traveled 70 years into the future to 2015, where S.H.I.E.L.D. has taken them in. Coulson’s team has to find out what the hell happened and how the hell this is all possible. Peggy finds out Steve’s alive and Howard had a son. So there are things less possible than time-travel.
Notes: The author states that Cartousa are end game for this fic, but there is a bit of Steggy, mostly in the way of closure and moving on.  It’s well written and a good read, but if you just want Steggy, then skip it.

Don’t You Dare Be Late
Status: WIP
Rating: Mature
Summary: It’s 1952, S.H.I.E.L.D.’s founders Peggy Carter, Captain Phillips and Howard Stark have been secretly researching ways to develop the scientific field on the tracks left behind by the Tesseract. During some testing sessions, Peggy Carter volunteers to go on the next try—as the three have been double-thinking their current volunteer’s real intents. When things go terribly wrong in the testing capsule, Peggy vanishes from everyone’s sights, just like World War soldiers would go when hit by Nazi officer Johann Schmidt’s weapons. Defeated, believing Agent Carter has died, Phillips and Stark put the research on the classified deactivated files and try to move on from that disaster. What they do not know is that Peggy did not die, she’s just been sent to another time.
Notes: I don’t actually remember reading this one, I just found it in my history.  I think I might have marked it for later since I got tired of getting pulled incomplete fics that hadn’t been updated in a while.

Whatever Direction the Wind Will Take Me (I’ll Follow You)
Status: Complete
Rating: General Audiences
Summary: Peggy Carter finds herself in the 21st century. Her journey there isn’t the easiest.
Notes: Sort of an Agent Carter/Torchwood crossover.  The author claims you don’t need to have knowledge of Torchwood to read the story, but it would obviously help since it sort of takes place within an episode of Torchwood, just with Peggy as the time traveler.

In all the old familiar places
Status: Complete
Rating: Teen Audiences
Summary: The experiment gave Steve just one night to return to 1943, prior to his “death.” Steve knew the rules: he could not cross paths with himself or do anything to majorly affect his timeline. Killing Hitler wasn’t exactly what Steve had in mind when he agreed to be their test subject.
Notes: Steve and Peggy get their dance.

A Step In Time
Status: Complete
Rating: General Audiences
Summary: Steve finds Peggy in his apartment after the battle against Loki’s army. Only, Peggy looks young, like Steve remembers her.
Notes: Short but sweet

The First Night
Status: Complete
Rating: Explicit
Summary: Not surprisingly, Peggy’s first day in the 21st century was all a bit of a blur.
Notes: aka that fic with the Captain America condoms

And Don’t You Dare Be Late
Status: Complete
Rating: Teen Audiences
Summary: Peggy Carter is accidentally sent time-travelling by mind-controlled rogue Nazi secret agents.
Notes: It’s listed as part of a series, but can be read on its own.

It’ll Probably Drown Me Before I’m Through
Status: Complete
Rating: Mature
Summary: Peggy’s neighbor is both handsome and kind. It’s really too bad he might be a spy.
Notes: If I recall, this isn’t exactly a Time Travel fic so much as a Modern AU, but I’m including it here cos it still sort of fits the trope.
