really really late night thing

i keep trying to memorize every detail of the moments i live in. in the soreness of my legs from standing so long at a concert, the chill of the night, the patterns of a tablecloth, the oily texture in my mouth after eating fried bananas. i keep trying to memorize the feelings, the quiet contentedness, the laughter, the excitement. i keep trying to memorize the people, their smiles, the way they speak, what makes them laugh. i’m constantly on the cusp of the next part of my life and that’s just so.. strange. but it makes it so much easier to find happiness no matter what’s happening to me, in a way? because i’m already kind of looking at life with those rose-colored glasses of nostalgia, simply because i know these are times i’ll never be able to live again, and these are people i might not always have, and that makes it so much easier to appreciate everything i might miss later.

There’s this beautiful thing about writing: whatever you’re writing can only be written now.

You could take the same premise, the same plot, the same characters, and if you’re writing it weeks, months or years from now it will still be different because you are different and the world around you is constantly changing.

Writing reflects what’s going on in your mind, in your life. What you’re dealing with now - whether it’s a struggle or a dream - will be different in each new moment. Your influences will change. The person you saw at the bus stop today who made you think about loneliness in a different way won’t be there tomorrow, and that thought will never make it into your book if you’re not there in that second to see it.

Writing is an ordered reflection of your messy - often indefinable - thoughts frozen in time. Others may not recognize the pieces of you in there at all, but you can look back on your words and remember what you were feeling, even if you didn’t know what it was until it was over.

Neil Gaiman said that fiction is the lie that tells the truth. He meant it for the ways that writers use fiction to explore who we are, but I think one of the most powerful ways it does this is when it takes the writer by surprise and they remember being in a moment they didn’t notice until it passed by.

If I told you I loved you, would you believe me?
I don’t mean the love where we hold hands, cuddle and do cute things. I mean the love where you were everything to me, but you didn’t know it. You were the one I was scared to lose, and ultimately enough, what I was scared of became a reality. I loved you for every imperfection you have that I adore. I loved you for brightening my world and making me feel things I thought were only in fairytales.
If I told you I loved you, would you believe me? Because I don’t know if I would. I don’t know if I loved you… Loved is past tense, which means it’s over with. But, I believe you can never stop loving someone, the love might die down, but it doesn’t completely die. It settles down in a dark place inside you and quietens down until it wants to burn a fire in your soul and make its self known again. I loved you, and I continue to love you.

’S cute.

Sheriff Sam has only been in like three episodes or something, and they’re still one of the most prevalent non-binary characters in any form of media I’ve consumed.

More non-binary characters for my grubby little hands, please.

flat-15  asked:

Help me here, what are the best Vettel interviews? Looking to get into F1 after being a casual spectator for years. Thank you!

WOOOOW ok I’m a bit surprised because I’m feeling so #blessed honored you asked me about this (but if I start thinking about all the Seb stuff I post here I’m not so surprised 😂😂😂). So thank you! 😇

But it’s kinda hard because Seb does like thousands of interviews and he always says the same during f1 weekends…(sorry Seb, you know I love you more than my life but it’s the truth…honestly). But we all know Seb is a very intelligent and wise person who has very insteresting and also remarkable thoughts and this is one reason why I (and many) look up to him.

So here are some of the best imo:

Title of the interview is “Typical Vettel” which says a lot. The first part when he’s talking about not being on social media is very impressive. Especially what he says about some “fans”…

It’s more lighter but thank god it feels endless and he’s talking a lot of different things about his life in a personal and a professional way as well. Many jokes, honesty, complaining etc. - typical Seb 😂

Ok it’s just funny because Seb likes to talk for hours and this time he was not allowed to. He had some interesting answers. (These Dutch reporters are weeeiiiiirrrdddd)

Short questions, short answers, you can easily get to know him.

5. first part (the title is wrong trust me)
second part:

The way he talks about his car and the smileys made this interview really great. (with English subtitles)

And now you should get ready because here comes the funny ones:

The famous Kimi imitation. I’m pretty sure every single real Seb fan knows this.

7. first part:
second part:
Old but gold, the Top Gear appearance. Shame the full version can’t be found anymore because this is hilarious.

The second part with the funny customs story and “big balls” is one of my favourites.

Another famous press stuff from Seb - the SEAGULLS story aka “How to crash the winner’s serious post race interview.” It’s long but definitely worth to watch.

And he didn’t run out of jokes after that hilarious seagulls interview. Whereof one of my favourite quotes from him comes: Everybody’s a Ferrari fan!

Wow, so I’ve just made a top 10. I’m absolutely sure I haven’t put all of the bests because it’s impossible but these cannot be left out if you want to get to know this awesome person. 😊

(Also you should check out my previous post about my top 5 Seb press confs, there are some interview moments as well)

Thank you again for making me do this because you recalled me how much I love this man and I have million reasons why, these are only a few of them. 😍❤️

Hi! I love the way you draw Rotom, it's actually one of my favorites, and I'm glad I could follow you! Could I have a little high-five?

[[Thank you so, so much!! I’m so glad you like Blitz! ;w; She’d love to give Mr. (Miss?) Mime a high five, but unfortunately she doesn’t have hands!]]

a post-doomsday almost drabble (123 words)

It’s the smell of the honey wafting out of the cup of chamomile someone had made for her on the second night in the wrong universe that tipped her over the edge. Tears welled up in eyes that had been dry and empty for hours and Rose barely managed to put the cup down before burying her face in her hands and letting the tears escape.

It smelled just like him, just like the scent she could catch beneath the wool and the engine grease. The scent that was infinitely stronger when she was curled against his bare chest in their bed, sleepy and sated.

It was just a cup of sweetened tea. It was just another reminder of everything that she’d lost.

Until the Fog Lifts: Scene #1 - Below Storybrooke General

You know how I said last week that I was going to write two more chapters with the scenes I’d had planned for the future? Well, it’ll be two/three chapters on or ao3, but I’ll be posting the scenes individually here - these won’t even be published on those sites until I have more than a few written.

And, in a unexpected turn of events, I’ve actually managed to get a scene written, so here it is! I hope you enjoy it (scene and context under the cut)
