really read

I’ve just realised that, upon seeing the tower (just before Rapunzel gasps and stumbles backwards), Eugene lifts his arm up like this. At first, I thought he was reaching for the place where he was stabbed, as if remembering it, but then I recalled that he was stabbed on the right side. Doesn’t it sort of looks like he’s shielding the area with his arm? I think so. He must be horrified to be back there. It can’t be easy returning to the place where you were straight up murdered. I wouldn’t be surprised if he got phantom pain, too.

Summary: “If you move back to Brooklyn, we can pick up where we left off,” Bucky said.

“Where did we leave off?” Steve asked.

Bucky had an image in his head that had never dimmed in intensity. It was a closed door. The door in his childhood apartment, and Steve was on the other side of it, walking away down the hall. Confusion grabbed at his seventeen year-old heart. He had wanted Steve back as soon as he walked away, even though he understood the reasons for him leaving. Where Bucky wanted to pick up was to figure out that strain in his heart that came after the door shut, the one he hadn’t understood, and still didn’t.

“I don’t know,” Bucky admitted.

Steve wants Bucky’s help to solve the murder of Dr. Abraham Erskine. Meanwhile, Bucky wants to find out what happened to Steve after his mysterious disappearance at seventeen.

What's up! Both Armin and Jean are my favorite characters, they were since I first got into the manga and I loved each of their character developments and overall growth. I loved seeing Armin and Jean's friendship grow through out the story, and considering the "separation" between the main trio, which I think will be due to a difference in ideals. Being Armin and Jean think alike and work well together, do you think Jean will side with Armin and get his back during the trio split? Thanks!

Hi there! Sorry, it’s been kind of a busy weekend for me and my semester is just starting up so I’m a bit behind on my inbox ^^’ Thanks for your patience!

I’ve thought about this question quite a bit, and I think it will come down to what exactly is going to be the basis of the “separation” of the members of the Shiganshina Trio. Personally, I think it’s going to come down to how much each member of the trio is willing to sacrifice in order to achieve their goal–and, according to the newest guidebook, they’re starting to realize just how much their goals currently differ. As Isayama discusses in a recent interview in said guidebook, Armin wanted to see the sea for its own sake, because it was a wonder of nature, but Eren wanted to see it as an act of defiance, because he felt indignation that he was held back from seeing it by the Walls and the titans. Mikasa’s goal has always been protecting her family, but that goal has started shift as she’s dedicated herself to the Survey Corps and given herself to the military discipline that comes with being part of such a group. Eren’s view of the world is actually quite uncompromising, and realizing that he can’t have the absolute freedom he once dreamed of has led him to despair. In the face of such insurmountable odds and the revelation that the Walldians’ enemies have been other humans all along–technically other Eldians, who have been enslaved and forced to act as living weapons because of their unique ability to transform into titans–Eren clings to his comrades and refuses to sacrifice them for a cause so hopeless (to Eren’s mind post-Uprising/Shiganshina) as defeating Marley, and thus it is actually Eren who is now most closely aligned with Jean ideologically. I am not sure if Jean will be forced to “side” with any particular member of the trio, but I imagine that if it comes to that he will feel torn between his close friendship with Armin and his ideals.

And, quite frankly, I would like Jean to stick to his ideals if they ever come into conflict with his feelings for Armin, as much as it pains my inner-Jearmin shipper to say this. Armin and Jean have always disagreed about the ends justifying the means, and I can actually envision an ending where Armin and Mikasa end up on one side of this debate and Eren and Jean end up on the other. Which, considering how ideologically opposed Eren and Jean are at the beginning of the series, would be kind of poetic. However, I can equally see Jean prioritizing his connection with Armin in spite of any ideological divide between the two of them–and there is, based the events surrounding Reiner’s capture in chapter 83, the potential that Jean is shifting into a more tactical mindset such as Armin has.

I’m sorry, this probably wasn’t the answer you (or any of my fellow Jearmin fans) were looking for, but if you want a full explanation for my thinking I’ve typed it all out under the cut. :( As always, feel free to discuss, raise counterpoints, and offer alternative readings!

I wanted to ask, completely unrelated to DnP; what is your opinion of what is happening in Venezuela? As a fellow latinamerican I fear the involvement of the USA (military speaking) due the usual development that kind of involvements have ended in the past but... I am also so desperate for them. Someone needs to do something and I get more and more upset with every news or every tweet and every person I talk to here that has come from venezuela trying to escape all of that shit

oh i kinda gave my opinions on it in the tags of a post in my main the other day. this is quite the controversial topic, isn’t it? can u believe hard left here in chile actually support mad*ro’s government? like, i consider myself left and i follow all these websites, magazines and stuff, that are left winged yet their posts about ven*zuela are on the verge of fascism.

basically my opinion of it, is that socialism can’t be implemented (fully) in a country whose major income is exports, specially in ven*zuela who literally sells petrol to the U.S. circumscribed in the capitalist system and the global market, hard socialism and pure ideology can’t make a country survive against the capitalist machine that is the U.S, and that’s a reality.

latinoamerican countries, sadly, have always fell into what Wallerstein calls peripheric-countries, which means that our income and balance economically depends from core countries, like the u.s and it’s basically been this way since colony, as they stole and continue to steal our resources in order to sell us the manufactured pieces back. re: we sell copper, they give us chips and computers for triple the price.

therefore, and it’s what LITERALLY happened in chile in Allende’s government, when the socialist government relies on ideology more that strategy, economically speaking, the country isn’t profitable for core countries, and that’s where the economic blockage comes from. Ven*zuela’s goverment calls this “americans are forcing us to accomodate to the capitalist system by blocking us economically so that the socialist agenda falls, we won’t surrender yada yada yada” ; which is ideology to me, more than practicality.

That’s legit what happened with Allende, he nationalized copper, expropriated thousands of acres and gave it to working class people, all in like two years, and then the U.S retracted their business in fruit importation, in forest / wood resources, in copper, and we as a dependable country fell into a hole, and no food, long queues to get bread, no hospitals supplies, etc.

And then came Nixon and Kissinger with their money and tanks, and killed thousands of people who supported the socialist government, in another act of pure ideology.

I think, and this is my opinion, there are ways to democratize and implement socialist reforms within countries that are peripheric, the president before allende, eduardo frei montalva did just that, he started nationalizing copper gradually and slowly, in a way that wouldn’t freak out international business, and also slowly began the expropriation of land in the south, which i think was the way to go.

My point is that, governments that run on pure ideology are doomed from the start, and now with Mad*ro it’s just pure populism and thirst for power, oligarchy in its finest form slowly converting to fascism.

I wish there was a way to stop it not involving violence, the best way i think would be a revolution from the people that are suffering, and not from the hard right that are probably already begging for the U.S to get involved, and you never want the U.S to get involved.

It’s such a tough situation on countries that depend so hard on core-countries. And opinions are hard when you’re supposed to be behind the ideology that they say they represent but not agree on the means. But, you’ve got to be fair, Venez*ela’s case is worrying, and it’s kind of terrible that no international media are covering it at all which would only contribute to hide another U.S deadly intervention.

(sighs) i hope something happens soon ):

hey yall. i just realized something.

this is probably gonna be long but whatever. stick with me.

soooo im currently rereading the original pjo series. and i am feeling. so many. things. i realized a lot of things too.

okayyy so in PJO, we view percy as reckless. stupid. always acting on impulse. basically that dumb guy that never thinks befire doing things. BUT in HOO, we start viewing him as mature and smart and strategic and all that. But he didnt grow THAT much. Percy didnt age that much in hoo.

Remember that iconic scene (Mark of Athena, i think?) where they meet some kind of monster/bad ppl (im too lazy to search it up) aboard the argo II and it was percy that thought of saying that Dionysus was with them? Percy knew about their fear of dionysus, and how he turned them inti dolphins. So he got some diet coke as “proof” that he was there and asked frank to turn into a dolphin. Genius, right?

Annabeth called him smart after that.

That was the only time we considered him smart. (Well not ONLY, just one of the few times.) But guess what? He’s been doing smart shit like that for years already.

I cant really mention all of the times he did something smart/wise. If i did it would take me days before i finish typing.

So i realized why we only thought he was smart in hoo but not in pjo.

In PJO, it was in first person, so we saw everything through the eyes of percy. In this series, he only focused about how stupid he was, about how great other people were and how better they are then him. But he doesnt focus about all the good/smart/wise things he’s done. Percy doesnt know that he’s smart. All he knows is that he is stupid, worthless, and all other negative things.

in HOO, however, we were reading from another person’s point of view. We saw percy from another person’s eyes. We noticed things that he doesnt notice himself.

Hazel called him a god, once, because he was just THAT attractive. Everyone else looked up to him, and thinks he’s the most powerful/strongest person to exist.

But Percy doesnt know that. All he knows is that he’s stupid.

SOOOO, long story short, Percy hates himself.

Ok bye sorry if this was long I just love Percy so much and i a m f e e l i n g s o m U C h

uhhhh anyways mary’s the only character i can draw and i love her
