really long i apologize

Miraculous Headcanon

Warning: i have been adding to this headcanon for nearly a month so it is pretty long xD OOPS SORRY NOT SORRY (i did put a cut though, so, yeah) NO REGRETS

  • Marinette is a youtuber
  • Her channel consists of mostly sped up videos of her drawing designs and making her designs. Some have voice over, some have soothing and relaxing music.
  • Her channel blew up
  • Partially because, wow, she’s really talented for only being in high school
  • And people just really enjoyed watching her work, it’s very unique
  • Sometimes she’ll do simple tutorials on how to make a simple skirt, or get started on designing, but those are more rare videos
  • She has a second channel that is less professional than her main, where she posts a bunch of random vlogs that her and Alya take whenever they do something interesting, or even some random challenges. Most of these videos involve Alya, since she got Marinette to make a second channel for fun vlogs
  • Her international followers (#subtitles) find it very interesting anytime she talks about Ladybug and Chat Noir because there are legit superheroes in Paris and no other part of the world has seen that.
  • They vlog all sorts of things
    • going to the craft store for new fabrics, buttons, patterns, literally anything Marinette needs for her next project (or they’re just bored)
    • They record random things they see around Paris, cosplayers of LB and CN, pigeons being weird, aesthetics
    • Alya and Marinette have a weekly “review” which includes Alya buying something for Marinette to review- mostly themed around her favorite heroes
    • Sometimes just walking around the mall. Nino is spotted in many vlogs as well, but Adrien is rarely seen since he is already around so many cameras in his normal life Marinette is respecting his privacy
  • A lot more below the cut because I have been working on this headcanon for nearly a month!

two a.m.

not only did no one request this i wrote it in approximately 30 minutes. i have an immense soft spot for a punk teenage richie. this is so long im sorry

pairing → richie tozier x reader

word count → 1148

summary → oh, the wondrous things that can happen at two in the morning - like richie tozier stumbling through your window.

warnings: swearing, also ur aged up in this! around 17-18 ish!

 “Oh my God, Richie-”

“Why the hell is your room on the second floor - oh shit -”

 “Oh my God!”

A short laugh left your lips that sounded painfully loud, and Richie was on the carpet of your room (having face planted through your window). You knelt down by him and covered his mouth, as he was sure to say something, and you couldn’t explain what Richie Tozier was doing, feet out of your window and face on your carpet, to your parents if they woke up.

No other sounds were made - a warm breeze coming through your window ruffled your curtains, but that was it. Pure silence. You were in the clear.

You got up off of the floor, your hand leaving Richie’s mouth, and shut the window quietly. You whipped your head around to Richie, and while you were trying to be serious it wasn’t working because you had the biggest smile on your face. “What the hell were you thinking? What are you even doing here?” You ask him, and he responds with a grin of his own.

“Missed you, sweetheart. Chivalry isn’t totally dead, is it?” Richie says, and you roll your eyes, sitting on the floor next to him. The room’s dark aside from a small, barely-illuminating lamp that you turned on in a haste once you noticed someone crawling through your open window.

“You saw me, like, six hours ago,” You say, and his hand slowly finds yours, playing with your fingers.

“Too long,” is all he says, and looks up at you through his glasses, and you feel your face heat up even though you know you shouldn’t - can’t - be flustered by the action, the person.

Lockers - Peter Parker

request -  hey, welcome to tumblr ! great username XD i was wondering if you could do a scenario where the reader was in the elevator then as spiderman pulls her up, she recognizes his voice then the next day, she confronts peter in at school, in an empty classroom and says she knows who he is and then hugs him out of nowhere and so much fluff ugh. thank you and i wish you the best with the blog !

a/n - i went through many different plots/settings with this fic so it took a while but, writing this was really fun. it sort of become rly super duper long so i apologize for that LOL and hopefully the fluff isn’t a flop like me but don’t forget to request a peter parker/spider-man fic if you’d like and follow!

The elevator began to shake even more, dropping one more time before I felt as if our fate was waiting for us down at the bottom floor. The broken glass made it hard to stand up, but what was even worse was that I was the only one left in the doomed elevator.

“Grab onto my hand!” The officer shouted at me, extending his arm to be the best way he could. I tried to desperately to reach it, but I couldn’t. The mix of adrenaline and fear had struck my body to the max.

“Sir, I-I can’t.” I cried, my heart breaking even more. Just then, the elevator went down another foot, and I felt my back press up against the tarnished wall. All I could hear was the harsh beat of my heart and the yells for help from the people up top.

“(Y/N) please! Try again!” I heard Liz yell from above. The situation had become to surreal to me that I almost became numb to it, with what could happen in a matter of seconds not scaring me as much as it should be.

Before I could register anything else, the sound of glass breaking snapped me back into reality. But surprisingly, it wasn’t from the elevator.

Beginnings Must Be Clean: Why KOTOR’s Darkside Ending Is Most In Line With The Philosophy Of Star Wars

So, right off the bat, let’s establish something: I am not nor will I ever claim that the darkside playthrough is the morally correct choice. Darth Revan is a violent dictator. The darkside ending is evil, unequivocally, full stop. This is NOT a post going “Revan is just misunderstood!!! The Jedi are the REAL bad guys!!!edgy!”

I never said that the darkside decisions were right, better, or morally defensible. I said the darkside ending, the story told by the darkside ending, is infinitely more thematically consistent.

Why is this? Well, let’s take a look at what are, in my opinion, the three major recurring themes in all Star Wars media. (Note: “Good vs Evil” is not going to count here; I’m talking about the major themes used to ILLUSTRATE the major, overarching premise of the battle between good and evil.) So what are those themes?

Day 31: Magnus + The world’s worst kept secret (or is it?)

Alexander Gideon Lightwood sucked at keeping secrets.  Worse so, because one would expect someone so staid and quiet to be able to keep secrets. But Alec had several tells, and Magnus knew his boyfriend well enough to know when said boyfriend was hiding something from him.

It was in the way Alec suddenly fell silent every time Magnus entered a room. And the way he blushed every time Isabelle caught his eyes. And considering that Isabelle could not stop smiling or sending pointed looks in Magnus’ direction, and then winking at Alec, well Alec spent the entire morning blushing,

Isabelle Lightwood unlike her brother practically vibrated with the need to just blurt out whatever it was that she and Alec had cooked up. But every time she came close to spilling the secret, Jace would step in with a warning look that would have Isabelle laughing and then walking away.

So apparently, it wasn’t only Isabelle that knew what this mysterious secret was, Jace knew as well.

The Lightwood siblings were all in on the secret.

Even worse, something told him that Clary, Simon, Luke and Raphael were in on it as well. Because Isabelle couldn’t keep a secret from Clary and between Clary and Jace, he was fairly certain Simon found out about it, which would explain why everybody and their brother made sure that he was never left alone in a room with Simon. Pity, he was sure he would have been able to finagle the truth from the vampire. He was sure Clary and Simon also told Luke about Alexander’s secret, but Luke only responded with smiles and a tight lip whenever Magnus tried  to prod and Magnus did not bother with Raphael because all Raphael did was scowl, mutter about how dramatic and stupid everybody was being, and then decided to participate in said stupidity by not telling Magnus anything about the world’s worst kept secret.

Although now that Magnus thought about it, it was a pretty well kept secret. After all, he still knew nothing about what everyone was whispering about.

But, he had a busy day ahead of him and managed to push the thought to the very back of his mind so he could concentrate on everything he had going that day. And he succeeded quite well, which was why he had thought nothing of it when he portalled back into his apartment, shrugged out of his jacket and snapped his fingers to put on the lights, only to stop stunned at the roses scattered all over his floor, a visible trail that led to his bedroom.

I know it was quite a long wait and I apologize for it, but it’s really hard to multitask sometimes and there are so many ideas I want to bring to life that sometimes I lose myself between them!

Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6 | Part 7 | Part 8 | Part 9 | Part 10 | Part 11 (coming soon)

Ok so I never really identified much with Scarlet until I stumbled across this fan art on pinterest:

and for reference, this is what I look like

I think my favorite thing about the TLC series is that there is so much diversity in the characters in both their physical appearance AND their personalities and they change so much throughout each book so it’s soo easy to find a character that you relate to.

I love Scarlet for her “I’m not putting up with your shit today” attitude but socially, I feel like I am more like Cress. Scarlet is very short-fused, while Cress is quiet and curious. But when Scarlet is in an uncomfortable situation, I totally get that “I want to disappear under big comfy clothes and hope that no one will notice me” feeling.

basically The Lunar Chronicles is just an amazing series and you should all read it.

BY THE WAY, I am 90% done reading Cress, and if ANY of you spoil ANYTHING that happens in the rest of the books, I will end you.

Summary: In which you’re sure you’ll hate Park Jimin with every fiber of your being for the rest of your existence, even after he is assigned your tutor for History of Magic.
Pairing: Jimin | Reader
Genre: Fluff/Smut; Harry Potter AU
Word Count: 17,321
Author’s Note: This got insanely long, and I apologize but also not really. Inspired by @jeonbegins + her really dope HP Slytherin Jimin AU edit. I also had a little conversation with @minsvga about this and she helped me figured out the basic idea for what this story has become; and @chokemejimin has asked to be tagged in my HP work so here you go my dear!!!

.

No matter how hard you try, it seems as if you are always bested by Park Jimin in every aspect of life: from Quidditch to school to class popularity.

And you absolutely despise him for it.

Granted, it’s probably because he’s always simply excelled in everything while you could only manage the minimum requirement for things outside of the sport you’ve grown to be so passionate about—but that’s only deepened your dislike for the boy. It’s been like this since the pair of you were children, a rivalry already planted between you even before you knew what the term meant. Truthfully, it was pretty much written in the stars that you would develop some deep-rooted grudge against Jimin, for he was organized into Slytherin while you were put in the fiery red and gold of Gryffindor.

Beyond the clashing Houses that have officially formed your backgrounds, it doesn’t help that the boy has seemed to uphold a particular interest in doing whatever he could to see you fidget or watch you squirm or just catch you at your worst moments—although you humor yourself on the idea that these unfortunate incidents occur to you because of Park Jimin’s constant hovering. It’s a habit that’s grown since the first week of your admission into Hogwarts, in which your big mouth scored you your first detention with the infamous Professor Snape.

It’s a moment that marks the beginning of an unspoken battle between the pair of you—in which you would constantly attempt to prove yourself better than Park Jimin and Park Jimin doing everything he could to make sure you could never have that victory. During the first two years of school, this would mean beating you on every exam, knowing the answers to every question and teasing you for not knowing. Professors putting Jimin on a pedestal, marking him up as the ‘ideal student’ and unknowingly intensifying the dagger of hatred you wished to plunge deeper and deeper into his chest.

When you are twelve, you are told that there is certainly no way for you to truly despise of something (or someone)—for you are young and naive and not entirely capable to understand what it means to hate something with every fiber of your being.

But they’re wrong.

anonymous asked:

I think Shannon Goss is my favorite writer of the season. The ep ran smoothly, lines were well thought out and not used from the book, it just felt more like J & C lines rather lines from DG that seemed too much for t.v. / fiction. I'm loving the new cast and well--S&C are just amazing!! I truly love these 2 goofs. Both of them deserve an award for this season. C's face and all she does w it when she's acting can only be compared to all the great actresses now and from the past.

Hiya Anon! Hope your Monday is going well.

Yes, I completely agree, Shannon Goss did an amazing job with The Doldrums, especially considering this is her first Outlander episode! The passages she chose to keep from the book fit very well and were even improved upon (The Man in the Moon and Yi Tien Cho’s story, especially). There were times, even in episodes like A. Malcolm, where it did feel like lines from the book were just copy and pasted into the script without really being molded to “fit” in a particular moment. For me, there were no such lines or moments in this ep. Hopefully we’ll get to see more of Shannon’s work in Season 4!

I think if Caitriona + Sam don’t get recognized for their amazing season of work, it will be a catastrophic injustice to them both and to the show as a whole. They have upped their game so much this season, both during scenes together and scenes apart. “C’s face and all she does w it” absolutely YES to this, Anon. Caitriona can honestly convey 20 different emotions with one single look – she is  m a s t e r f u l  when it comes to storytelling without having to say a single word. I think she even said it herself, she’d have made it big in the silent film era xD

And when you put her in a scene with dialogue, she delivers them with basically all the passion, energy, and emotion any human is capable of mustering in a lifetime, and then some. If you didn’t know this was acting, you’d believe she was Claire living through all of her ordeals without a moment’s break as Caitriona. That’s how completely she immerses herself and the viewer into a moment.

In equal terms, Sam has been incredible this season. I was blown away the very first seconds of the Season 3 promo when he gasped while lying on the battlefield in the aftermath of Culloden. It honestly made me gasp I was so stunned. And in that flashback to Jamie at the stones, which probably lasted no longer than what? 10 seconds? Less? You could feel every ounce of hurt Jamie was feeling. Like Caitriona, he is great even without any dialogue to bolster a scene. I’d go so far as to even say that those are his best acting moments.

They both play the gambit of emotions so incredibly well. Anger, vulnerability, passion, fear, insecurity, love, happiness, sadness, hopelessness, hopefulness, nervousness… I could go on for ages. Then you put them together with that OFF-THE-CHARTS 🔥🔥🔥 chemistry of theirs? It’s absolutely insane to think neither of them have won any of the major, mainstream awards yet.

How about we fix that this year? Whaddya say, Academy People?? 🏆🏆🏆

“Aren’t there more interesting things you could be watching, General?”

A little bit of Kylo Amidala for @noxberry‘s birthday, because she is a dear and one of my first friends in the Kylux fandom <3 <3 I hope you like it! (Kylo doesn’t like being ignored for opera)

Analyzing Joseph’s Character and Route

Many people (myself included) were dissatisfied with Joseph’s route. The unconfirmed “Cult Ending” only added to our panic. We were expecting a story about a religious LGBT man coming to terms with himself and finding happiness, and many of us were left disappointed. But what if that’s exactly what we got, just without the happy ending?

I feel like Joseph’s character is a lot more complex than anyone’s been giving him credit for. If there’s any truth to anything that I’m about to say, his writing is subtle. And while the endings we’ve uncovered so far have been less than satisfying, I’m beginning to think that there’s more to them than we think.

I might just be grasping at straws here, but it’ll help me sleep at night. So here goes.

dating peter parker and being tony stark's daughter would include:

ok so i kind of went overboard with this hahaha but i really enjoyed writing it!! also if this doesn’t focus enough on tony i’m sorry I GOT SO CARRIED AWAY WITH THE IDEA OF BOYFRIEND!PETER I APOLOGIZE kfndkdkdk. send me more of these cute headcanon ideas!!

— being properly introduced one day when you were at the tower doing homework on a sofa
— your dad coming in with his hand around peter’s shoulder, talking to him about germany
— you obviously know about all of the avengers stuff so you’re not too surprised
— he didn’t realize you were there listening to their conversation until you cleared your throat and stood up
— “oh, uh, hi y/n. y/n, meet peter parker. also known as spider-man.”
— “PETER PARKER? you’re spider-man? oh my god!!!”
— he was in a couple of your classes and you’d talked briefly but you never imagined that he could be the famous hero
— an awkward handshake ensued
— after your dad & him left, you couldn’t stop thinking about him

— peter started coming over to the tower more and more often, half because of his training and half because he wanted to see you
— doing homework and studying for tests together since you were in the same grade & both went to midtown
— soon it became a routine for peter to come over every wednesday & friday night

— after a while of doing this he finally got the courage to ask you on a proper date
— you said yes, but told him that you would probably have to sneak around your dad
— he didn’t want to upset tony, but he would do anything to spend more time with you :-)))))

— your first date was to midtown high’s school fair
— him buying tickets in advance and everything even though you said it wasn’t necessary
— it was autumn, so it was kind of chilly and he gave you his jacket
— both of you blushing profusely at the sight of you wearing it
— him winning you a huge teddy bear from the ring toss
— “since when did you have such perfect aim?” “radioactive spider bite, remember y/n?”
— SQUEEE going on the ferris wheel together oh my god
— THE CLICHE KISS AT THE TOP OMG
— him being so nervous, you both were, but the moment was so perfect
— taking his cheeks in your hands and leaning in
— his one arm wrapped around the back of the seat, the other placed on your knee
— MORE BLUSHING and giggling
— and holding hands omg
— ending the night with him swinging you up to your room in the tower
— it’s so picture perfect honestly
— BUT… your father was very suspicious and you had to lie your behind off in order for him to stop interrogating you about where you’d been
— he kind of figured that you were with peter but didn’t say anything

— okay, from then on you were basically the cutest couple ever
— holding hands under the table in class ALL. THE. TIME. whether it was to calm one of you down while talking or just to be in contact with each other
— you becoming close friends with michelle and ned!!!!! ot4!!!!
— sitting at lunch together and geeking out/doing hw/ just talking
— him walking you home. always.
— but then waiting like fifteen minutes before coming inside to talk to tony in order to “not get his ass kicked”
— he kept this up for a couple months before tony caught you guys holding hands under the blanket during movie night with the rest of the avengers
— him freaking out and scaring the crap out of the poor kid before calming down and just warning him
— “you hurt her, you’re outta here kiddo.”
— “y-yes sir. i would never.”

— texting non-stop
— having tons of inside jokes
— aunt may ADORES you. seriously, she loves you almost as much as peter does. and that’s A LOT.
— when peter wasn’t at the tower, you paid visits to him in queens often
— eating thai food and pizza with him and may
— watching star wars with him repeatedly, sitting close to him on the couch
— cuddling. and lots of it.
— sometimes when he’d get bored of the movie he’d seen so many times peter would lean over and kiss you
— his kisses were always soft and sweet
— he held you as if you were so fragile and he didn’t want to break you
— DOING THE UPSIDE DOWN ICONIC SPIDER-MAN KISS OMG
— his web getting in your hair and all over your clothes but it was worth it
— “hey peter?” “mm?” “your butt looks really good in that suit.”

OKAY THIS WAS SO LONG I APOLOGIZE I GOT SO CARRIED AWAY LOL. i hope you enjoyed it 💖💝 i am fluffy peter parker TRASH.

Taken for Granted (pt 4)

A/N: IM SO SORRY THIS IS SO HOPE YALL REMEMBER ME AND THIS SERIES. PLEASE READ THE AN AT THE END AS WELL THANKS LOVE YALL

You didn’t realize what exactly you had signed up for when you agreed to the job. Sure, you had some experience, but working as a manager full time was quite tiring. But you felt good going to bed each night, knowing you had done a job well done.

You became good friends with the GOT7 boys, and they helped you out whenever they could, knowing that you were new and temporary. The boys had recently released a new album and were starting their schedules at music shows. You barely found any free time for yourself, but you couldn’t help but think about the bts boys. You missed hanging out with them.

They still tried to contact you whenever they had the chance, but everyone knew it wasn’t the same. You wish you could make time for them and your personal life, but you knew that the following weeks were only going to get busier.

After a few weeks, your schedule seemed to be rather redundant. You had to usher the boys to music shows and interviews every day. You were proud of them for always keeping a smile on their face, despite being very tired. You were starting to realize that perhaps you didn’t really like this job. You were constantly out on the road and you had to deal with incredibly rude people and to be honest, you didn’t know how much more you could take.

After one especially long day, you were surprised to see that the boys had a free night. You dropped them back at the dorms quite early and each of the got7 boys thanked you as the got out of the van. Pretty soon, you found your way to your own apartment and was getting ready for a shower when you heard your phone buzz.

You couldn’t help but smile at your phone. You loved Jin like a brother, but why did you feel your heart flutter a bit? Over these last few weeks, you had learned to forgive Namjoon too. You didn’t want to cut him out completely because you loved all the boys too much to do that. And with being so busy with work, you had learned to get over your feelings. You had the confidence to look at Namjoon now without butterflies in your stomach, you were sure.

You placed your phone down and went to take a shower. After relaxing into the warmth of the water, your mind began to race with the possibilities of writing music. Hell, you even had a minor in music from college. Classmates and colleagues had told you a countless amount of times that you had talent, but weren’t they just being friendly? But after what Jin had mentioned, you now had something serious to consider. It had been a long time since you had written a song, and you were quite scared to show anyone your work, but you realized how happy it would make you hearing someone perform your piece.

And so, after months, you pulled out your guitar and empty sheet music and spent hours, writing and playing whatever came to mind.

Jin placed his phone down with a smile on his own face. He missed talking to you, your playful banter. He missed seeing you around the dorms watching movies or helping him cook or trying whatever it is he made. He just missed your company. So he was content with these small moments he had with you, even if it were simply over text. He couldn’t help but feel excited about seeing you soon at music shows.

Namjoon sat across from Jin, noticing the look on his hyung’s face. “What are you smiling about?” he asks, laughing.

“Huh? Oh nothing” Jin says, finally out of his trance-like state.

“Who were you texting that you have that weird grin on your face hyung?” Namjoon asks again.

“Oh, y/n” Jin says.

And just like that, Namjoon’s own smile fades quickly. Everytime Namjoon tried to forget about you, his mind flooded with images of you. The more he tried to erase the images of you from his head, the more he found himself thinking about you and how much he was missing you. Of course, he didn’t want to admit it.

“H-how is she by the way?” he asks, slowly.

“Good I guess. She said she didn’t really like her job though. I told her about taking up music again” Jin said, honestly.

“She’s into music?” Namjoon asks, quite shocked.

“Yeah…. I’m pretty sure she even studied music a little bit in college. I heard her singing a few times and she even writes a little but I think it’s really good” Jin said, smiling again. Jin thought back to the first time he caught you singing. You were cleaning up the dance practice room after the boys had left. Jin realized he forgot something and went back, only to find you singing and dancing with the mop while you cleaned the floor. He was immediately captivated by your voice, and he couldn’t help but smile at your funny dance with the mop. And before he could help himself, he found himself introducing himself to the beautiful girl dancing around his practice room. And since then, you become good friends with both him and the rest of the group as well.

“Is she thinking about changing careers then?” Namjoon asked.

“I’m not too sure. She said she would think about it, but I think she just wants to finish off strong with the job she has now. I told her we could show her the ins and outs of writing music if she wants” Jin continued.

“I-I could teach her a few things I guess…” Namjoon said. He smiled at the possibility of you two spending time together.

“Hey, I’m sure she would appreciate that! I’ll ask her when she’s thought about it some more!” Jin said excitedly.

Both boys now smiled while they looked down at their hands. “More time with Y/N” they thought, excitedly.

Previous Parts: Part 1  Part 2 Part 3

A/N: SOO this kind of took a turn I wasn’t expecting. Hope y’all like it??? Let me know what you think please. How should the story go from here? Let me know if you want a part 5, or I might now really continue this series. I apologize again for posting after so long. I’ve been on vacation and then suffering from jet lag, so I hope you understand!

Together

So this was totally supposed to be characters’ reactions to Jon and Dany being in love but it suddenly got really long and really angsty and I don’t know why. So I apologize in advance. I’m sorry.

Not taken from one specific prompt; it’s been on my list for a while.

Hopefully this makes up for not posting anything yesterday lol

Tyrion

Tyrion had hoped that the King and the Queen would get along.

He did not, however, think that Jon would persuade Dany to take leave of all of her senses and leave for the North with her dragons. He might not have allowed Jon to come, if that had been the case.

They were in love with each other. Of course they were. Neither of them would ever admit it but every time they were in the same room they always ended up eye fucking. He’d learned about eye fucking when he was very young; when couples could undress each other with their eyes-but he’d never seen any two people perfect it like Dany and Jon.

Then again, he supposed they both flared towards the dramatic once in a while.

I suppose he just looks at you longingly like he’s hoping for a successful military alliance. She’d rolled her eyes and turned back to the fire but he’d seen the way her eyes sparkled. Gods, she had it bad for him.

A political marriage, perhaps. Good for both of their kingdoms and good for them. He would have brought it up, if Jon hadn’t left. It took every ounce of persuasion he had in him to keep her from going after him; she was always a bit impulsive, a bit too eager to throw herself into dangerous situations…but it was all he could do to stop her, to remind her how valuable she was. There were other Starks but no other Targaryens; who would be left behind to break the wheel if she was gone?

As soon as the raven arrived he’d known he would lose her. He’d tried to hide it from her but she found it, of course; she’d read it, back rigid and eyes flashing back and forth across the paper, and then she’d turned and gone upstairs-coming back down a few minutes later in her winter coat. She looked like an angel. But even angels could die. Even their love stories could fail.

He’d pleaded with her, but she’d barely been listening. Her mind had been made up and she was already beyond the Wall with the man she loved. He knew how hard it was to sit back and do nothing when the people you loved were in trouble-but she wouldn’t listen. She displayed the same tenacity that had gotten her so far on so little, she and the dragons had flown off, and he hadn’t been able to stop her. He couldn’t help wondering if it was the last time he’d see her.

In that moment he couldn’t help but hate Jon Snow for having such pretty hair, or for being such a decent man. And he hated himself for not realizing sooner that what he thought was just a crush had turned into all consuming love.

They were so young. Too young for this. He’d seen young lovers, fearless and ready to take on the world, only to die in each other’s arms. And dead heroes were no good to anyone. There was no one in his life that he could think about dying for-maybe his brother, or the Queen, but he didn’t want to sleep with them. His lovers were shifting faces; many of them he barely remembered. By now he knew that reckless displays of love and bravery rarely paid off.

He should have planned better.

But they were in love and there was no stopping it. All he could do was wait and deal with whatever fallout came with it. Because there would be fallout; there always was, when it came to matters of the heart.

Davos

The first time Davos realized that the King in the North and the Queen in the South were in love, they’d both nearly died.

For a while Davos hadn’t been sure he could make it work. The two monarchs barely tolerated each other. But then, slowly but surely, they’d warmed to each other. And now they were…something else. Now they loved each other in a way he’d seen very few people ever love each other-not just for political convenience.

Jon was stubborn, of course, but Davos knew these things-he’d seen enough people fall in love to know when one felt the first stirrings of desire. And he’d known that Jon was in trouble the second they’d walked into the throne room and seen the Dragon Queen on her stone throne, exotically beautiful. Any man would have fallen in love with her instantly-and even Jon wasn’t immune to her charms.

Davos had prepared for every other eventuality, up to and including a battle at sea should they become prisoners on Dragonstone. He hadn’t been prepared for her, for Jon to look at her the way he did.

Even then, they were already lost. I’ve noticed you looking at her good heart.

Jon had stubbornly refused to talk about her. He changed the subject ever time Davos brought her up, every time he tried to coerce him to focus. And they were falling for each other, hard. He could tell, in the way their glares were softened at the edges with curiosity, tempered by kindness. When Jon escorted her to her place at the long wooden table for their first meal together and the way they’d tried not to meet each other’s eyes. The one time Dany had dropped one of her carved dragon figurines in the war room and he’d immediately bent down to grab it for her, and how their hands had touched for just a little longer than necessary.

He’d never thought that he would like the Dragon Queen either; she was too foreign, and she’d taken the castle that he’d come to think of as Stannis’s and make it her own. But he found that he did; she may have been the most powerful woman in the world, but she never brought it up. She never exhibited her power unnecessarily. And the people who followed her…they followed her because of who she was, not because of her name. She was kind in a way that Stannis had never been-but her spine was iron, and unyielding when necessary. She and Jon made a good match; ice and fire, neither one smothering the other but flourishing as equals.

It had broken his heart when Jon had volunteered to go on the wight hunt and he’d seen the look on the Queen’s face, the way she’d tried to call him back. Don’t do it, you blithering idiot. Don’t you see how much she wants you to stay? Don’t you know how much you don’t want to lose her?

Which was, he suspected, why he’d gone in the first place.

But he’d never expected, even in his wildest dreams, for the Queen to come after them with all three of her dragons…and return with two. He hadn’t had to ask what happened; they were all shell shocked and Daenerys looked devastated. But she didn’t lock herself in her room; she waited outside for days, weathering the snow and cold and squinting into the middle distance as if she could somehow draw Jon back to him.

And inexplicably, she did.

She never left his side in the days he was unconscious; she brought in a chair and sat next to him, not speaking, not crying-only changing his bandages when the occasion required it and sleeping in odd bursts of two or three hours with her head on the edge of the bed. She looked younger in sleep, more innocent and vulnerable. They both did.

It made him want to protect them, to spirit them far away to somewhere they could live out the happy ending they deserved. But they were heroes, and he knew there was a good chance their love story would never get a happy ending. But he would do his damnedest to try.

There was love in their eyes, whenever they looked at each other. Pure, unadulterated love. And he knew they were lucky to have found it, if only for such a short time.

Missandei

Missandei realized that her Queen’s…preoccupation with Jon Snow wasn’t just a passing fancy when she didn’t want to talk about him during their morning routine (a bath and braids).

When Dany had known Daario, she’d talked about him every morning after she slept with him. He was light and funny; she didn’t take him too seriously and Missandei had always listened with interest when she talked about their nightly hijinks. But she never did, with Jon. In fact she didn’t tell Missandei that they were even having sex until they reached Winterfell (Missandei pretended to be surprised; everyone had known since the first time it happened). And soon she stopped wanting to talk about Jon altogether, as if she wanted to keep all of the sensations to herself. She and Dany had always been the best of friends; sometimes it felt strange sharing the Queen with someone else. But Missandei had always liked Jon; he was like Grey Worm, strong but caring, overcoming adversity after adversity. So they didn’t talk about their crushes; sometimes they would exchange glances, now and then, to convey all that there was to convey. But mostly Missandei just made sure she kept the sheets washed, in case the Queen ever invited a visitor back to her room.

Once she asked her what love felt like, what she felt when she looked at Grey Worm. Missandei hadn’t known what to say, or how to explain the whirlwind of feelings-the sadness, the love, the urge to protect him from anything and everything that could do him harm…in the end the only thing she could say was “the way you look at Jon.” And somehow Dany seemed to understand.

She noticed the direwolf pin before anyone else did; Dany wore it on her shoulder, tucked under the collar of her shirt where it wasn’t noticeable. But there it was, bright and shiny as if (and she suspected this was the case) Jon had it made for her especially.

It felt like a promise-a dangerous promise, but a promise just the same. A promise that one day, when this was all over, they would have a future together.
