“Reporters always ask about the bad boy image. They also ask why we think we’re doing so good. Well, there is no bad boy image!
It’s just us-five guys doing what we’ve always wanted to do and pulling it off. And I think the reason we’re successful is because we are real and the kids know it.
Y'know a good song to me is one you can listen to and imagine yourself playing and singing. That’s real.”

It’s been weeks since you last saw your boyfriend Jongdae
due to the touring he’s been undergoing with his band members. However, despite
the never-ending distance between the two of you and the time zone differences,
Jongdae never failed to drop you at least one call or text message a day. Even
if it is to complain about how exhausted he feels or a ‘Hey baby, miss you
lots’ message, your heart swells up with unconditional love whenever you catch
a glimpse of his contact name popping up on the screen of your phone.
It’s no easy feat to live your life normally when Jongdae
always plays at the back of your mind, teasing you with the promise of his
return. You could be washing dishes and the thought of him would invade your
mind, reminding you of the playful memories of when the two of you would flick
liquid detergent at each other while doing the dishes after a meal.
Fuckboy Matthew who really loves Steph. Like not like a 'I'll fuck you and then throw you aside.' Love but like, actual love. Steph makes him prove it to her.~🌸
There were very few times when Matthew regretted his reputation. If he were honest, the benefits of being known as the school playboy were actually quite innumerable; both girls who were romantics and thought they could ‘fix his bad boy ways’ and girls who were just looking for a casual fling alike would chase after him, other guys tended to respect him if only for the notches on his bed post, and it gave him a very cool and detached image that really was for the best (enough years had passed that Matt was the only one who remembered the times when he was small and way too friendly and a popular target for those stronger and meaner than him, and he liked it that way.)
And then he’d met Stephanie.
By all accounts, snatching up some transfer student should have been an easy bag. New, alone, looking for friends. He’d done it before. However, Matthew hadn’t even gotten a word out before she shot him probably the coldest look he’d ever seen and breezed past him like he was a ghost. If Matt was honest, that was probably when he screwed up and actually caught feelings for Cordato. They’d only gotten worse from there, every pickup line and invitation was met with sharp retorts and shut downs and yet, somehow that constant cycle they’d been dancing in for months now turned from flirting and vicious to…. something friendly.
And that’s how Matthew Patrick found himself wearing a nice shirt he’d dusted off from his dresser while sitting on his car and waiting for Steph to come out of her house. Somehow, he’d gone and actually fallen for her and one day he realized he wasn’t content to just flirt shamelessly with Stephanie, he actually wanted a relationship with her. He wanted to know what she looked like when she cried during sad movies, what toppings she liked on her pizza, what her parents names were and what she dreamed about and what position she slept in. The idea of just fucking her and leaving her in the dust like he’d done to so many others felt…. disgusting. It felt like he was the lowest creature just for considering it. And so he asked her out, only to be met with a blank look and a surprising serious ‘No’.
Well, he couldn’t blame her. His reputation was notorious and if he was a girl with half the brains of Stephanie Cordato, he’d have run screaming. But Matthew was nothing if not determined, and now that usual sleezy determination to know what every girl in his school looked like naked was replaced with something more earnest and passionate. And so, he made changes. He started actually asking about her day between flirty lines, he arrived on time to classes because he knew how much responsibility meant to her, he dressed a little nicer and was a little kinder to others and just a little softer to Stephanie. He even told her that he wanted to be an actor one day. And slowly, she responded. She smiled at him and waited at her locker for him and would sit at the desk beside him. Finally, he asked again and she agreed to a date on one condition.
An actual date, somewhere nice. He would not expect even a hand hold on the date, let alone anything else. Matthew had to be kind and courteous, no lewd or inappropriate behaviour. And at the end of it, she’d decide if she wanted to see him again. God, did Matt want her to want to see him again. He was a little obsessed with Steph by now, it was like his heart was trying to make up for years of meaningless sex and flirts by dumping a lifetime worth of love on him now.
Admittedly, he was a little frightened. Not of the love, he’d come to terms long ago that he loved Steph. Even if she took one look at him tonight and walked away, he knew she’d be leaving with his heart and that was okay. He trusted her not to be cruel. It was him he didn’t trust, he’d always heard a cheetah can’t change its spots; Matt would sooner set his car on fire than hurt Stephanie, but hurting the girls he went with was all he ever did. The idea of Steph leaving in tears because he did something awful was like a stab to the gut.
Suddenly, Matt wanted to push off from his seat on his car hood and drive away. He wanted to go back to his safety net of meaningless hookups. No expectations, no emotions, no wide brown eyes that shon when she traded barbs with him and haunted him every night when he tried to sleep. But before he could turn and run, Stephanie appeared. She stood in front of him, and Matt fell even further. The way her sweater clung to her figure, her skirt swaying slightly in the breeze along with her hair. Those eyes staring up at him again, wide and deep and so impossibly dark and brown Matt felt like he was drowning. And immediately, his fears were put to rest.
Steph wasn’t some delicate flower, she would crush him if he tried to mistreat her. She was powerful and smart and brilliant and she hadn’t even said anything, she just stood there and stared and had Matthew wrapped around her pinky. He was completely at her mercy. He cleared his throat, his usual panty dropping smile softened into something fonder, something more loving. “Shall we?” Matt asked quietly, holding out a hand. Stephanie took it and he was pretty sure he stopped breathing for a moment. “Let’s go.” She agreed, her smile almost knocking Matthew to his knees.
