Today marks exactly 5 months til my birthday (aka the date I want to have reached my goal).
I’m feeling completely better and even woke up before my alarm. I really just wanted to do something fun this morning so - ok look, don’t laugh - I dusted off the Hip Hop Abs videos I bought like 10 years ago and did the hips/butt/thighs workout (let’s just be real about my problem areas…those are it). It was definitely fun and by the end glute workout I was dripping sweat.
I’m not used to working out at home and while I have all the necessary equipment I definitely miss the gym. Until I get back there I’m just going to keep working out here in the mornings and, while I may just be doing yoga or pulling out one of my old DVDs, at least I’m doing something. It’s helping me get my head back into it & get over my fears of hurting my spine that kept me from working out for nearly 2 years.
I’ve also decided to do a Whole 30 in June. When I start that I’m going to get into my old training program and pick up the weights again.
That’s all I’ve got for now.
