Use this list of possible offerings as a guideline, but be creative, follow your intuition, and try to learn the personal preferences of any dragon you work with.
In general having a shrine or altar space dedicated to any spirit or spirits you work with a good idea. If only to have a place to leave offerings. A shrine may take nearly any form. Simply a flat surface on which to place significant objects.
Gems, Crystals, Statues, Etc.:
Once you have a shrine, you need things to decorate it. Make offerings in the forms of statues, drawings, and otherwise images of dragons. Offer crystals, gemstones, jewelry, shiny things and valuables of all kinds. Obviously gold is a favorite.
Obviously all such offerings may be left in place permanently on the shrine.
Dragons tend to think with our stomachs. Food is always a suitable offering. Anything you have will do, but there are always certain favorites. Sharing your own food is a nice gesture. A bit of your meal set aside on a shrine, and/or burned in a fire.
It should be understood when making a food offering to a spirit that they take the psychic energy from the food. It should be later disposed of according to your preference. Most commonly this means taking it outdoors somewhere and leaving it to be taken by scavenging animals, though this method should not be used with chocolate or anything else which may be toxic to wild animals. Some choose to simply eat such offerings themselves, but many find that the taste has changed and become unpleasant.
Meat is a safe bet. We are predators, after all. Cooked or raw doesn’t matter. Red meat especially.
Most dragons also have a sweet tooth. I myself begin the day often with straight cream and raw honey. Dark chocolate and honey is divine. Pies, cakes, cookies. Honey cakes are a very traditional offering to dragons.
Incense is a standby offering for almost all spirits. Notably it is not as commonly offering to chthonic spirits, with specific exception of certain necromantic herbs, but that is another topic.
Any incense is a suitable offering to a dragon, but the irony of dragonsblood incense is enjoyable.
An offering of wine or other drink may also be well received. I do believe I am not alone among dragons in my strong preference for sweet drinks, so consider things like dessert wines and mead.
If you don’t drink alcohol, then tea or coffee, or even fruit juice, is just fine.
Some of the most profound offerings can be what you create yourself. Paintings, poetry, music, dedicated as an offering to a dragon is a precious thing.
This is a bit of a departure from other kinds of offerings, but most dragons have a fondness for stories and information. So talk to them. Share something you know or a story that speaks to you.
Light a candle as an offering. Dedicate oil or wax in a diffuser to a dragon. Play some music, even better if you can play an instrument yourself.
You may also offer to help them with magic, rather than the other way around.
You’d be hard pressed to find any spirit who wouldn’t appreciate the gift simply of your energy. This can be a way to form a very close connection with a spirit.
Once again, as you get to know the individuals you work with, ask about their preferences.
Lunch a few days ago 😊 oat vanilla waffles topped with half a raw vegan chocolate bar, granola, cacao nibs, banana, mulberries and mint 😍 i just posted the recipe on my instagram (knfx) if you are intrested 😊
Look at all this dairy free, chocolate goodness! 😍😍
+ it’s low carb yuuusss 🤓👌
I still have a little chocolate doing keto, I love raw chocolate the most! I never crave old chocolate much these days like dairy milk and what not, these are more rich and satisfying! Plus more expensive, so you aren’t tempted to wolf them all down in one go 😂😂 My little health food shop chocolate haul ♡

Here’s the post I’ve been meaning to do for a while… HOW TO MAKE THE PERFECT AÇAÏ BOWL! There are lots of places where you can get Açai bowls now but there are only a few places (where I am in Sydney) that I think do really good ones. I like to make my own because I can adjust the smoothie base to my taste and also add whatever toppings I want! It’s more economical to make it at home it’s so easy to do as well so I would highly recommend giving it a try!
Earth To Table - Where I had my very first Açaï bowl. My favourite grawnola!
My creation - I always like to add a crunchy granola and nut butter 😍
My creation - Adding coconut yogurt is delicious!
Cocobliss - Perfect summer treat with mango and coconut yogurt.
My creation - Try adding homemade muesli on top.
Cocobliss - Use fruit as a topping for a fresh treat. Oh and some raw cacao sauce won’t hurt!
My creation - Cacao and peanut butter… All time favourite flavour combo on anything! 😀
My creation - One of my first homemade Açaï bowls with my greenola 🙂
My creation - Add a crunchy element in your topping e.g. granola, nuts and cacao nibs.
My creation - Banana, cacao and PB 👍
Yoga Bar - Strawberries work well as a topping!
Bare Naked Bowls - Try adding goji berries as a topping 🙀
My creation - Passionfruit helps offset some of the sweetness 🙌
My creation - One of my first homemade bowls… I think I added some raw brownie 🤗
My creation - A recent bowl with my Black Forest base (see below)!
My creation - Be generous with the toppings 🙃
My creation - Add raw slices/cakes to up your toppings game 👊
My creation - Probably my finest yet… One of my first creations when I got my new Vitamix blender… So creamy!
My creation - Same but different 😉
Bare Naked Bowls - Perfect summer treat ☀️
Vida Surf Shop - Officially my favourite place for Açai in Sydney!!!!! The base is spot on 👌
My creation - How cute is my pineapple bowl? 😄
Ohana Acai Bar - Tried this in Perth!
Cocobliss - Healthy and decadent treat 😍
I think the thing that determines the quality of an Açaï bowl is the texture. You need a base that is thick, creamy and full of flavour. Here are my five rules:
Make sure all the base ingredients are frozen. This will give the base the thick result you are after - a runny base is not nice.
Use a frozen Açaï sachet. This adds more substance to your base and again gives you a thicker result. You can use freeze-dried powder but this will not give it the same result.
Bananas should be the main fruit ingredient. Frozen bananas will give the base a creamy texture.
Blend with plant-based milk. I have found that most places will blend with coconut water or fruit juice - this results in a base that it is often sweeter (due to the natural sugars in the fruit) and more icy. I personally prefer a creamier base so my favourite liquid to add is soy milk but you can use any sort of plant-based milk. Also make sure you don’t add too much liquid - just enough for it to blend.
Buy a good blender. I use a Vitamix and it does an amazing job at blending all the frozen ingredients together quickly so it does not melt and the result is so smooth.
I also though I’d share one of my personal favourites. My ‘Black Forest Açaï Bowl’ (click on link) which I have featured a number of times. I like fewer ingredients in the base so this recipe is quite simple. It’s definitely my personal favourite Açai bowl recipe so I hope you enjoy it!
Black Forest Açaï Bowl
- A frozen banana
- ½ cup frozen cherries (you can also use berries but I think this gives the best flavour combination)
- 1 frozen Açaï sachet (I like to use the unsweetened kind)
- ~¼ cup soy milk
Put all ingredients into a high-power blender (I use a Vitamix). Blend on low with tamper and slowly increase speed until you get a smooth mix. Spoon into a bowl and serve with desired toppings.
Bringin the salad jars back 👊🏼👽🍏
Paired with refreshing @purecocobella coconut water and ever so delicious #vegan @thebarcounter bars 👅 My favourite flavour is Raw Chocolate Coconut & Lacuma, so gooooood 🍫
Full day of eating: Breakfast: whole grain bread with 1) peanutbutter, almondbutter, banana and granola 2) avocado, lemon juice, salt, sesame seeds and mint leaves Lunch: oat protein waffles topped with half a raw vegan chocolate bar, granola, mulberries, banana and peanutbutter (had 3 waffles in total) Dinner: lentil sweet potatoe veggie stew with avocado Dessert: 4 medjool dates stuffed with peanutbutter and the other half of my chocolate bar Snacks inbetween (not pictured): an orange, two carrots and a handful of almonds :)
An anon from /sug/ made a video of compiling some of Sugar’s comments from “The Best Show”. She got a lot of Jasper questions for some reason so I’ll post them here…
Fan: What gem is Jasper’s corrupted fusion? (2:07)
Rebecca Sugar: So we were basing Jasper’s fusion off of a type of zebra Jasper, if you look it up you see that a lot is black and white but some is tinged orange. I wouldn’t necessarily say that’s her name but she would have to decide. So it’s not necessarily what she would call herself yet but if you look up this gem you’ll see where the inspiration came from.
Fan: What would Jasper’s favourite ice cream be? (8:31)
Rebecca Sugar: I feel like there would be many steps where we would have to go through to get to the point where she’s eating ice cream and to where she would enjoy that. It won’t be vanilla, strawberry or chocolate, maybe raw cookie dough, it would have to be something challenging and difficult.
Fan: Can you talk about Malachite or is that too suggestive? (7:06)
Rebecca Sugar: You have an interpretation of Malachite that you think was not my intent? Fan: Uh, maybe, Maybe not. All I know is that it was, like, really polarizing and people argue about it for so long. And I wanna know, what is it? Rebecca Sugar: Um it’s a toxic relationship. Fan: But, like, in what way? Was it drawn from something in your life? Is there, like, some sort of intent you had there. Is it, like, specifically something like that? Rebecca Sugar: Well yes, but I don’t think I wanna go too deep into it. It’s definitely based on toxic experiences that I’ve had in the past. but I think it’s meant to be a reflection of that of a toxic relationship.
Note: I just want to say that the person asking the Malachite question should NOT have tried to pry into Sugar’s private life, she asked him what his own interpretation was and that is what he should have explained rather than what he did…And if anyone tries to use this to try and further their own headcanon even though Sugar did not want to talk about it, you’re sick. We know what Malachite canonically is, Jasper canonically manipulated Lapis to fuse and just wanted to use her, Lapis canonically bound Jasper in the fusion and took everything out on her, “Malachite was formed through extortion and bound with deception and revenge”.
And it’s okay to have your own interpretations. The way Rebecca so quickly said “You have an interpretation of Malachite that you think was not my intent?” makes it feel as though this question is something she gets asked all the time. Interpret the relationship however you want to just do not make harmful rumours about Sugar’s private life.
