Yoooo~~~~ my acrylic charms came today during a snowstorm and I totally did not expect it XDDD I thought the storm was going to delay it for sure. Kudos to USPS delivery guy (stay warm and stay safe man). It really made my day ヾ(*´∀｀*)ﾉ
Here are the references for my Yuri on Ice and Overwatch characters charm set. I will be selling these at future cons and events. So check out my con schedule if you’re interested in purchasing them! I will probably sell them online for leftovers. I don’t have a store yet (as of 2/9/17) so check back on my tumblr or other social media (or you can message me) for updates!
Also, I find it super funny that overwatch and YOI characters came during a BLIZZARD, COLD and ICY day (no pun intended lol)
They look super nice thanks to @acornpress ! I would highly recommend them if you are interested in selling acrylic charms for cons/online in the future. This is my first time ordering acrylic charms so take my words with a few grains of salt. Also I’ll be rambling all over the place and spamming run-ons so be aware :P
Sorry I didn’t get this posted last night as promised, but when I was about halfway through, the post disappeared. It literally disappeared. So I had to start over. At 10:30pm. All of the names written here are their names on ff, not necessarily the same as their tumblr names. All of these are complete unless otherwise noted. Hope you enjoy!

Tumblr asked me to rate the app and I rated it with a frowny face, so they asked me to send in a report and explain what I didn’t like about the app.
The app then froze and crashed while I was attempting to put my dislike into words.
I think that says enough.

Even if you smack them or pull on their ears when they’re hare-ing their rabbit masks, they won’t do anything! Of course, those of you who hare already checked out the tablet rules extensively know why this is a baaAAAAaaAAaaaad idea…”
Things are going down in the language world as a result of duolingo’s hijinx. And because of that, I am putting together some information to answer the questions asked by almost everyone I know right now.
Duolingo only has okay ratings on the app store, why do people recommend it?
Before the “health bar” test, Duolingo actually had quite good reviews. And even with the addition, it is still a pretty well functioning app. On the Apple store at least, most of the bad reviews are people bummed about not being able to learn Japanese or Korean. I personally found this odd, because the review in no way reflects the actual functionality of the app, people were just annoyed and neglected to just google it guys come on. On that note…..
I wanted to learn Korean/Japanese! Why doesn’t Duolingo teach either?
Korean is available (up to a certain point, it is still being created) on the desktop version of the site, and Japanese is being worked on as we speak! The first few lessons of Japanese are set to be released for desktop users in mid-May. (side note: I am very interested in learning about how duolingo deals with other alphabets, they do teach Russian, Hebrew and Hindi for English learns, so if anyone is learning those and feels like letting me in the loop, shoot me a message.)
What is that new health bar and why is it SO ANNOYING?
In Duolingo’s latest update, some users received a beta of the “Health Bar” function. I don’t know the ratio of users to receive this feature, I myself don’t have it but both my sister and my mum got it on their accounts. It is linked to your account, but I don’t know if this function carries over to the desktop version. After five mistakes, you can only refresh skills. I am unclear as to whether or not a certain amount of refreshing will regain your health. When your health runs out, you have the option to pay for more health, about $6.99.
Duolingo is a business. There is also an option being either tested or added to the android version of the app which allows you to subscribe to remove all ads on a monthly basis and to save lessons to be taken offline, without burning through data on your phone. I’ve read about this one costing anywhere from 3.99 a month to 9.99 a month. Bottom line is, Duolingo costs approximately 42,000 dollars a DAY to maintain and the shareholders funding that expect a return.
So far, nothing I’ve read has said anything about limiting content for free users, or secret language content for subscribers. Duolingo is still a fairly good for learning the basics of grammar and building a vocabulary and acts as a great starting point for any learner.
