What I feel like doing what I’m actually doing. I wish I was eating pizza and watching Netflix but I’m actually getting home from writing my paper and going to the gym and ready to tinker with my new nutrabullet! I even picked out fresh fruit!! I need to really work on this and watch what I eat a little more because of all the important things coming up- being president of my honors society and being accepted into the NCA in Las Vegas will have me in the lime light… My weigh-in and measurements went well today. Any smoothie ideas, y'all?!

Peach and Summer Berry Smoothie

When I get home under a blazing sun and I want something more substantial but as refreshing as cold water, I’m always happy I thought of freezing ripe fruits in zip-lock bags so I can whip myself a smoothie in a minute. Today, I treated myself with a Peach and Summer Berry Smoothie, and it’s literally the coolest!

Ingredients (serves 2-3):

  • 1 small ripe banana
  • 2 small ripe peaches, rinsed
  • ½ dozen fresh raspeberries
  • 4 fresh large strawberries
  • 2 cups orange juice

When you see the fruits are going ripe, slice banana into a zip-lock bag. Dice peaches and add them along with the raspberries and the halved strawberries. Seal bag tightly, and place in the freezer up to a month.

When you’re ready to have a smoothie, place the frozen fruits in a blender with orange juice, and process until smooth. Drink immediately.
