Rand Paul has got some sass. Just a day after announcing his presidential campaign, we see the Senator talking down to anchor Savannah Guthrie when she asked him about his frequently changing opinions.
“Why don’t you let me explain instead of talking over me? … Before we go through a litany of things you say I changed on, why don’t you ask me a question: Have I changed my opinion? That would be sort of a better way to approach an interview.”
Apparently Paul thinks he’s better at interviewing than the interviewer herself.
The social media was immediately out for blood. They called out Rand for the way he spoke to Guthrie, using the hashtag #Randsplaining. This is just a twist on the word “mansplaining,” which is when a man talks down to a women.
Slippery slope there, Paul.
