Not wanting to be one to disappoint the Easter Shark, I had to keep designing. It just happens that I was simultaneously inspired to create two new designs based on the work of artists who have improved my life through their wonderful art. A few days ago, one of my first GIF artist heroes, dvdp, posted this beautiful new design, and I had to make a tribute to it as well.
There’s a way to combine the tracks from OK Computer (hereinafter referred to as 01) and In Rainbows (hereinafter referred to as 10), to form one huge mega-album. As Puddlegum explains:
To create the 01 and 10 playlist, begin with OK Computer’s track one, “Airbag,” and follow this with In Rainbow’s track one, “15 Step.” Alternate the albums, track by track, until you reach “Karma Police” on OK Computer, making “All I Need” the tenth track on the 01 and 10 playlist.
It’s not that they sound nice together; it’s that these songswere definitely meant to make us shit our pants when played like this. In the way that “Golden Slumbers,” “Carry That Weight,” and “The End” all flow into each other on the Beatles’ Abbey Road, these songs all flow into one another as well, as if they were all recorded in one big session.
When one Tesla owner flipped on the autopilot feature, he saw the road on his car’s console display turn from black to rainbow — a la the Rainbow Road level in Mario Kart 64. In a tweet, Tesla CEO Musk confirmed the new “psychedelic cowbell road” feature comes with the latest software update. Here’s how owners access the Easter egg.
Each year, I make a large colorful mess in my kitchen to attract the Easter Shark, who spreads spring all across the land! He can smell color, you know - that’s how he knows to bring the spring time to your neighborhood. I made an extra big mess this year, because I wanted to be sure he brought me some of those sweet, sweet Cadbury Eggs.
Anyway, while I was making the colorful mess, I kept wondering- “How many of my GIFs would look good as egg designs?” This egg’s pattern came to me as a sudden burst of inspiration as I remembered my “Herbert Bayer Chromatic Twist Tribute” design. It had to be made.
